- A woman was rescued from the Central Pier big wheel in Blackpool after she was spotted climbing the structure by onlookers on Thursday morning August 31st.

Some of the comments are really not nice. This poor woman must have been desperate to do such a thing. Mental health is not nice, believe me. Thank you Steve for sharing this video and thankfully it ended in a good way. Big thank you to all the services that helped in this incident as well.
So how much did this woman cost in all the emergency responses?
Another great video my man. It does make me sick though with all the people standing around like there watching a show waiting to be entertained when there could be someone in danger or fighting for their life. What has become of the world 😢
Incidents like this are always very sad. Hopefully this lady will be able to access some help and support. I live near a suicide blackspot and its always distressing to hear some of the incidents that happen there❤

I really hope that she gets the help that she needs. Thankfully my big wheel adventure wasn't covered like this. It was 2am so no-one was intersested. 23 years ago!
Thank goodness the person got down safely. It must be really awful for things to get so bad that you want to end your life. It's so important to know that there is support, and help out there for anyone struggling with mental illness. Always reach out to someone who isn't coping. Remember it"s ok not to be ok. Hi Manny, there are various sources of help for anyone suffering with mental health issues. Speaking to a G.P or contacting Mind, Calm helpline, Anxiety UK, The Samaritans, these are just some of the organisations where people can get advice and support. I hope that helps a bit. Take care

He missed the man in the water up at North Pier last week and the guy that was struck by the tram up near the tower

How much has that cost for all those vehicles ,it gone mad just for one person,when people are dying waiting for ambulances

Way too many of the emergency services there if it’s just for one person don’t you think?! Could be out helping others instead of just sitting there.
Might have been a quiet morning.
Not all illnesses/disabilities are visible! People who are lucky enough to never suffer from anything are too quick to judge and most people think mental health isn't real but I can reassure you that it is very real and very very difficult to explain.

A Cry for help,even the most perfect person, can have anxiety and problems, life is strange, thankfully, all seems ok
Thanks Stephen hopefully whoever it was is ok. Just arrived on Thursday morning at 11-30am. Someone was knocked down and ran to Charnley Road and collapsed, don't know what the outcome was but didn't look good at all. To top that off a lorry reversed into the telephone pole that connects a lot of the houses and BnB on Charnley Road, police blocked the side road off and it won't be fixed for a few days. Just letting you know incase anyone asks about it.
At least the woman, was safely rescued from this misadventure (reasons to why unknown). Always rely on you, for 'The Blackpool Daily Scoop'.

I did hear it was a domestic incident. I see quite a lot of visiting couples arguing when I'm out and about. I think holidays can be more stressful than just staying at home.

I drove past there around 9.30 and wondered what on earth attracted so many diverse emergency services. One was in a blue jump suit, what's that do you know?
The blue uniforms are The Royal National Lifeboat Institution search and rescue ,I got video of her up the wheel and search and rescue on my channel

Stephen it’s very good of you doing these mate that poor women mental health bad hope she gets some professional support help as it’s horrible to have but one thing I wanna bring up you have some great videos. But people may not want to look on the pass if see you filming an iccdent like mental health issues but I hope she gets the help she needs keep up the good work keep on what you doing but just try be careful how filming.

It's probably the contingency plan they are following, everybody/vehicle that might be needed is ready there.
Some of the comments on here absolutely disgust me. That poor lady must have been at her wits end to even climb up there never mind being in a state of mind to contemplate jumping off. Have a good bloody hard look at yourself and try showing some kindness and compassion. And the people watching like it’s a performance at the hot ice show make me sick.

It’s very sad obviously to feel that desperate that this is someone’s way out of whatever situation they are in. I would probably watch if I was there in person but filming it so blatantly seems a bit inappropriate, not you as you seem to be filming other stuff too but the guy with the camera on a stand seems bit much.
