I am envious of that delicious epicurian delight and am sat here quivering with need, Jane and Chrissie! Quivering!!! I opened the DVD draw of my laptop hoping to see a thin slice of cake or squashed marshmellow and NOTHING! I must make do with two boiled eggs and crunchie nut cornflakes! Lackaday .... lackaday! Lovely to see you both enjoying yourselves and I hope there are no side effects after the flu jab. Seeing the orange cake reminded me of my friend Joyce in Arkansas USA telling me that the biscuits her grandson favours are called Oreos [or similar] and although usually white filling obtains, for this month they are orange. The fun thing for kids to do apparently is to take the top layer of biscuit off and make the orange filling into an halloween pumpkin face! The former decision of M&S to move to a less accessible place is the reason they have been failing year after year. Lack of commonsense! Last time I went in I could not find age-appropriate trousers and was told "We have to cater to the younger market these days" - they do not understand the value [and goodwill] of the "Grey Pound" . . and that grey pound is from people who have been loyal over decades of regular shopping. They wonder why the profit margin is a problem! Have a good rest you Wonderful Rabbits and we shall look forward to Brew at Two on the 19th. :-)
Have a wonderful holiday, recharging and refreshing is sometimes the best medicine you can have. Nothing wrong with eating the stuff you enjoy from the same place every week, no point wasting money elsewhere is there. Happy Sunday everyone x
