Silverwood is definitely on my bucket list. Tremors, Aftershock, and Stunt Pilot look so fun. I also love how Silverwood is surrounded by the natural beauty of north Idaho.
By far the best airtime I've ever experienced was the back row on Stunt Pilot. It was about 100 degrees the day I went so it was flying, and everyone was at the water park so there were no lines. I got to ride it without leaving the train 4 times in a a row.
I’m so proud that Silverwood is taking great care of my home park’s former Giant Inverted Boomerang. This is how Dèjá Vu should have ran when it debuted in 2001. Instead it unfortunately suffered a delayed opening almost leading to a lawsuit for false information, consistent downtime and sporadic operations leaving guests disappointed and most not being able to ride it during its time in the park, suffering mechanical and design problems so bad it frustrated Great America’s maintenance crew, and lastly it only operated only for about 6 years after a short period of leaving hundreds of guests disappointed and park management being fed up with pouring truckloads of dollars to fix the unreliable piece of sh*t almost always ending with little to no success. Six Flags Great America sadly could not take the stress any further and sold this thing off instantly after the 2007 season ended. Thank god Silverwood called in Vekoma for a full refurbishment to make it run much more reliable than what it was in Illinois. This could have stayed at Great America if it was completely refurbished sooner. But I think Silverwood deserves to keep this coaster as they were able to fix what was broken and now have a coaster running at its true potential! Props to Silverwood for taking great care of our old Vu! 👍 Seeing and hearing the joy and ravings from both enthusiasts and guests is what I wish it could of provided when it was still in Gurnee. Aftershock is kind of a underrated coaster if you ask me.
I rode Aftershock this year and I found a pretty cool feature. If you look at the wheels on the train you can see the manufacturing stamp of "2007 SFGA" on it.

I was excited to see this pop up in my subscriptions whilst I was at Silverwood lol. This park has such an awesome top 3 that are very interchangeable imo. Tremors is the most unique, Aftershock is the most intense, and Stunt Pilot is the wildest.

They added most of the RMC track to Tremors during this last off season which made it go from meh to elite. It before 2021 it was rough and had very little airtime. Now you fly through the course floating through tunnels. It’s a top tier now and I like it better than aftershock.

Did you hear Kennywood is repainting phantom's revenge? People get to vote for either "petrifying purple" or "terrifying teal." I think the purple would look so freaking cool
Don't know why there isn't an RMC I-Box hybrid coaster that we all love considering it's RMC's home park and 15 minutes away from the RMC factory. Either give the I-Box treatment to Timber Terrors or, better yet, build a ground-up one that's 6,000 feet or so long and over 200 feet tall, basically Arie Force One with a length and forces slightly longer and taller than Steel Vengeance. Really put Silverwood on the enthusiast map that way.
And for the second part… its a pretty small park i doubt they can afford such a massive coaster Edit: nevermind they make over 56 million dollars a year on tickets alone they could afford it with a bit of saving at most
I would agree on the list, except I would say Timber Terror should be ranked at #7 and not #4. I live in the area and Timber Terror is my least favorite coaster. I'm 6 foot tall and it beats the heck out of me every time, no seat is comfortable either front, mid, or back, and is overall a bad ride. I think what would help is if Silverwood would upgrade the trains to Timber Terror. The OG Corkscrew is a far better ride than Timber Terror. However, I think depending on your opinion and preference, that either Aftershock or Stunt Pilot is their best ride. To Be Honest, the best time to got to Silverwood is when the weather isn't great (cloudy, cold, rainy, etc...), because that is when you can marathon rides with almost near walk on or 5 minute waits. To me the top ride at the park depends on what your looking for in a ride. If your more into a smoother/intense ride then Aftershock is #1, and easier to marathon. Whereas if your looking for that aggressive and packs a great punch ride, then its Stunt Pilot, however I have found that when I marathon Stunt Pilot 3-4 rides is the max and you need to give your body a break.
I seriously wonder how Silverwood draws enough people to stay afloat. Like it's in the middle of nowhere northern Idaho, and there are no big cities anywhere nearby. Do they just have hoards of hundreds of thousands of people dwelling in the mountains making it out to silverwood once a week???
For the longest time I thought the same way, until I realized they have Spokane, WA, Coure d’Alene, ID, Missoula, MT, and Canada, as well as others that are a bit distant but still reachable like Seattle and Portland
I know many people in the Seattle area often visit Silverwood for summer trips, as well as small trips to visit the halloween event. It’s the biggest park in the area, so it draws a surprising amount of people
I love Silverwood but I don’t go on any of the roller coasters I just go on Thunder canyon roaring creek and bumper boats and some of the little kids rides
This park looks beautiful. It could use a few more slides for Boulder Beach, a launch coaster and a star flyer for future additions. What else is there to do in Couer d'Alene anyways.
You’ve got to be kidding. Coeur d’Alene is a mecca for outdoor recreation. There’s several massive lakes, endless hiking and biking trails, ski resorts…the list goes on and on. The area is known for being a destination for outdoor activities.
in the back row, do you get slammed forward on some of the hills on tremors? its an uncomfortable sensation for most but its one of my favourite things about some CCIs imo
I have personally ridden in the back of tremors, it's definitely more intense and you move forward a bit more, but it just makes the ride experience better!
I was hoping to get to Silverwood this year but unfortunately it never happened. However, I did manage to go on my 1st trip to Canada Wonderland where I rode my 1st of 2 B&M hyper coasters, one of which is over 300'. But I preferred Behemoth to Leviathan in the back car.
I personally think that the RMC Raptors are a little overrated. They are fun, don't get me wrong, but I have been on two of them, Railblazer and Stunt Pilot, and they just are not elite to me. I think they are just new and people are excited about the newness. Stunt Pilot to me is the 3rd best coaster at Silverwood.
