I look back at this scene and I’m wondering why Connor didn’t just blast the kids? Like they were right in front of him and the part where he was doing small attack at the rocks, I was like "wtf, dude! What are you doing?! XD"
Most probable reason? They ran out of budget, for an early 2000's movie using a lot of CGI effects, they probably ran out at a point and couldn't make it as massive as it could have been. There's also run time and deadline constraints that could have happened, so countless factors really could have been the cause.
Something I realized later on was that, now that he has his mind back from his madness, what’ll happen when he remembers he was the one that killed the other members of his team while not in control of his actions?
Just gonna say, if there was a prequel show to this movie itd go hard Like season 1 being the team forming and learning their abilities Season 2 is the missions and exploration followed by the approach of a major big bad to make them use the gamma 13 Season 3 the defeat of the big bad in the first half while connor starts turning, second half is connor killing the team with a series finale movie of zoom vs concussion ending with him being trapped in the vortex

That EFFECT it causes and a SCALE of shots of it! It looked GARGANTUAS in the scenes! And did you saw that damn epic and polished effect of the whirlwind?! And how Concussion tried to break through it?! I mean this looks LIT even today! And how FAST Zoom was shown!!! The only problem of this fight is that it was short and badly choregraphed on some parts! Maybe a few minutes more of some well choreographed fight with those effects and it would've been more epic than Avengers movie! 2:42 I mean LOOK AT IT! But the thing that to me proved he was the villain was that he was going to use Gamma 13 radiation on the kids, which Dr. Grant firmly told him he cannot use Gamma radiation on the kids after what it did to Zoom's brother. Concussion turning evil was a terrible result and thats why they should not use it again. Yet Larraby ignored this and ordered that the highest dosage be used. So that proved to me he was the real villian of the movie

Anyway, back on topic, since these are superhuman children we're talking about, it could be hazardous to them, right?
I feel like they had so much potential in this movie but wasted it, like the origin for this movie could have been the first part so that they had more time to build up concussion as a character and the relationship with Zoom as a brother so that it would be sad that he turned evil and killed all his friends and when zoom have to stop him and doing so he lost his powers, so in the second movie being this, it would have had more weight to it, that's just a thought I guess I mean it is a Tim Allen movie.

Dude got a F in villain academy. Edit:while this time A.he does not have the ambush advantage, they know he is coming. And B.they know he is willing to kill and thus need to be fought seriously against. Depriving him of the two advantages he had before.

I did enjoy the fight scene after when concussion used all his sonic blast powers to try to blast a force of energy to the ground to remove the vortex after he deliberately made it stronger by fighting too much to break free at least connor was a victim of evil after being saved I felt terrible for him.At least he was sorry for the thing he's did especially killing off the entire old team.
