The footage is broadcast quality and has been transferred directly from the BBC archives.

They could have been the biggest band in the world.... For a brief moment they had the world at their feet... That first album is the most important debut since definitely maybe.

@@TommasoGiordani Totally different pal. England was bang into the dance scene from 88-94 then this Mancunian bunch of lads went against the grain and brought out a belting album. Only Oasis album I like. It’s the most important debut album since The Stone Roses.

Sounds a lot punker now than it did then. Pretty good I’d say.
I see them as more of a power pop mod type of band than "punk" which is more angry in general. More The Kinks and The Jam than sex pistols or sham 69
@@EclecticoIconoclasta Definitely has some Power Pop and Mod elements. And maybe with some Post-Punk undertones done in 77' Punk style production. With a little splash of the glory of Britpop.

@@EBC154 totp used playback, they're notorious for not letting bands actually play live. This had Pete actually singing but the guitars/drums were play back.

@@GreenBiscuitStudio you can clearly see parts where there's supposed to be two guitars playing and inly one of tgem is strumming on stage. Also they're not playing the right notes live or picking in time with whats being played.
@@hotstankygarbage788 no yeah this is love man, they may be playing along with the original instrumental, but this is definitely live, the guitar is distorted/overdriven in parts where it’s clean… this is live but could be played along to the playback of the instrumental. :)
