First time to see this movie. I can't imagine I never came across it before now. I have always liked Scott Glenn and Sharon Gless. Sad true story.

So then I googled it and found a Dutch source that says it's written by William Blinn and based on actual events, indeed. Next I found an article in the archives of the NY Times. Dated December 21, 1985, the day on which the FBI charged her. Joyce L. Bailey, aka Joyce Bailey Mattox, 40 years old.
She did hijack a helicopter. I thought that this part was too farfetched, but noooo, it's genuine.
Nail biting exciting when the helicopter came down and even after,man people dont make movies like this no more.
That helicopter pilot will never be the same 😅

"I was on a helicopter once"... A most bizarre outcome for a church outreach 😅 At least her kind friend's van was not destroyed... To have used him like that; he must have been real heart broken 😥

Turns out that this film is based on actual events. That makes it sad.
It is a romantic story with so many feelings of entrapment in a society who doesn't value human existence. This simple life where a girl hasn't travel on a flight yet and is looking for excitement in all the wrong places. I find this story moving and there is a need for humans to connect under all types of communication.
1. AVOID stupid people especially who do drugs or break the law.
2. DONT make stupid decisions about who to have as friends or bf/gf, if theyre crumbums, u will turn into one by hanging around them.
3. DONT wreck your future by ignoring (usually) good parents advice.
It's disheartening how some (especially women & parents) become enveloped with a wrongdoer, excusing their errors then bad acts, then aiding & abetting, & often ruin their own lives to boot.
Always liked Sharon. Great charisma!!!😂❤

Definitely not worth the time....I doubt she was smiling nor happy at sentencing.

This is why people don't want no part of church. Because some people go to church but don't live the life. You have to repent of your sins. That's means turn from your sins and live for Jesus. Jesus will help you get through everything in life. I know he will be my experience with the Lord Jesus.

Wow! Great movie, thank you 👍 Yeah, it's hard as a Christian to give yourself fully to the Lord, and then do the total opposite! Living in the power of God and being equipped by the Holy Spirit is the only way forward ❤️ Jesus came to give us all LIFE, LIFE in abundance that we may do His will and be true advocates of the church. Not easy at times, for sure, but by listening to Him and obeying Him, we are definitely moving forward towards an exciting and eternal salvation - how great is that??! 🙏❤️. Stay close to God, y'all 🌟

Why is there always that pull of the "bad boy"? Tall, dark and handsome with a sexy voice?? Was the character played by Sharon Gless supposed to be daffy or ridiculously naive? Some of her behavior and dialog was so stupid!
