No problem. Just know that most of the children like Princess were the results of slave women being raped by the slaveowners. Rape of slave women was an everyday occurrence on those plantations. That is why the Black race have so many people who have the features of White people in some form or another.
I can't imagine being in Easter or Lizzy's situation. I'm not just talking about slavery and plantation owners. I'm talking about one woman being the actual love of his life and the other woman being a wife that he doesn't really love. Each woman wishes they were the other woman because they don't know that the grass isn't greener on either side.
I didn't realize these two series were about Alex Haley's family. Knowing this makes them all that more important and special. I'm so glad he took the time to research and write these stories for us. They are, in themselves, a tribute to him as well as his family. Thank you for putting this up for us to share. 🎉❤🎉
Yes of course. I love the roots series ❤️ they are trying to remove black history from the schools. It’s up to us to keep the history going so we never forget 🖤
Roots and Queen are both great series, but ya'll do know that Alex Haley was sued for plagiarizing Roots, so I'd have to assume that Queen is also fictitious. Both are beautiful, and if Roots is indeed plagiarized Alex Haley made it a great success. The original author couldn't have made them the classic series that Alex Haley did.

The Desk that James is sitting at writing Queen's Name is similar to the one that The Huxtable Family had on The Cosby Show. In it's own way there was a Home Office before folks acknowledged what it was.
