Hi, I have installed and wired the same way you wired, my R is going to the smoke detector and from there to the thermostat which is a nest, when I test the detector using the magnet, it turns off my nest thermostat and i assume the heat, but the furnace fan still running, how to write to shut off the furnace completely.

Based on my experience, the SD should be breaking R going to the stat when in alarm.
