You have a great system and set up. One of my favorite pieces is the equinox midi pant and the fanatic hoody. They are both warm and very versatile. Thanks for sharing!
The ELEVATEDii pattern is made to hide you when you’re in an elevated position. It does not hide you too well on the ground (especially when it gets green), except in the snow. So unless you’re hunting turkey from a stand, you should go with the Timber pattern or the Subalpine pattern. Otherwise, the Equinox Guard stuff is awesome.
Not the best camo for my area but cool setup. I would not like that rubber waistband liner in the pants though. I wear a baselayer when it's freezing, but otherwise I'm always commando. I think that grippy waistbands would be really uncomfortable especially for freeballers and not very useful.
There are several reasons military guys freeball it especially rucking in hotter months. That's why it's called "commando." Underwear as Americans understand it wasn't invented until the 1930s anyway. Freedom takes getting used to lol but it's healthier. Same as in the sack, natural guys have an advantage over circumcised guys there, and I wasn't lucky on that lol. Hunting season here the weather isn't usually very hot so it's less an issue but I think those Sitka pants are a pass for me. Have you ever tried Kuiu gear? @@KW_W
@user-rk4mt6tv5s We’ve never tried kuiu. I have an uncle that does a lot of bigger game hunting like elk out west and moose (in Canada I think) and he loves his kuiu stuff.

Great video. I have all the same items, except the fanatic vest. Got the fanatic jacket instead. Love the merino as well.

I agree the hoody works great. And the midi pant definitely helps with the warmth. Thanks for sharing.
I’m in Central Virginia and trying to find the optimum clothing for early turkey season. Great job.

Interesting… never thought of hunting commando before 😂

Hunting commando is the most masculine thing I’ve heard yet.😂😂
