I am a heavy equipment operator and i grease every morning before I start digging , that m18 milwaukee grease gun is hands down the best thing that has come along in our industry in a long while .uncle has a sweet pre emissions cat skid loader he knows what's up!!! Tell him don't ever get rid of that !!!
Excellent job loading & pickin up the ramps. Nicely done, sir. 👍🏻 Loveky diggin job!! Ur a pro Cody!! Drone footage was super cool!! Love & Prayers from Alsdorf
Mr Cody, what i always do is walk the machine up to the tipping point then stretch the boom out. One other thing to think of when you have the machine backwards the exhaust is pointed so air can get in it. A very good friend told me it would premature wear the turbo out. Just passing it forward.
People love watching equipment , you watch the amount of people you have watching your videos soon ! Its also really cool to be learning on video so when you do get really good and fast in the equipment you can go back and watch your progression !! Remember slow is smooth , smooth is fast , make every move deliberately and try to always be doing more than one movement at a time !! You are doing great not dead ending the cylinders and banging the bucket , thats what most new operators do and it tears a machine right up
Also don't get in the bad habit of using your hands to control the tracks ...it takes some getting used to and I know Takeuchi doesn't have the most comfortable foot pedals but you need your hands on the joysticks if you are going to prevent an accident loading or unloading
Turn 90' out (if clearance is there), have ur left shoulder towards the truck or nose of trailer. U cn walk machine forward when alone w/o spotter or getting in n out. Plus I've put grinder marks on lowbeds to know varying pieces are centered on trailer.
That machine is incredible, I could watch you all day long in that machine. Who would have ever thought they’d make one of these that you can use on a farm! Cody, that was very impressive the way you loaded it on the trailer & got the ramp pulled up! Okay in my next life I wanna come back as a Texas rancher! ❤❤
Hey buddy, if you’ll put your dirt on the other side of the ditch it will make clean up a lot easier. The dirt will go under the fence and it’s a pain to get without stretching out the wire. I dig a lot of natural gas and water lines. Just trying to help my friend.
Nice, let the grease and stuff from your boom blow on the cars behind you 😉 Just curious why you put your tailings between the trench and the fence on your right side? If you put the tailings on the left it would be so much easier to use the blade to back fill. Great video, and so good to see you helping your uncle out! I enjoyed the back story of your relationship with him.
Awe man that is totally needed with all these rocks in the ground! I want about 10 more fruit trees. My husband told me I was crazy and I better start digging now to be prepared for planting in the spring 🤣
@@Bar7Ranch idk what kind of Plums the old owner planted here but by far they were the best I’ve ever had! From around the world too! They were small and the tree only produced 10 plums. Of course I only got 1/2 of one.
Quick tip for ya after you dig a scoop take the flat part of your bucket and drag it across the bottom of your ditch it will make it smooth makes it easier to work in but ya doing great keep ranchin
I'm not sure American has anything to do with it. Plenty of cultures, around the world, that have great family values. Some, IMHO, have better family loyalty than most American families.
Cody you're probably already aware but if you dig over 18" deep you are required to call in a digtess so any utilities or pipe lines can be located, this will take any liabilities away from you.
Hey, does your son Clancy have his own instagram, RUclips, TikTok, and any other platforms where he make videos if so, what is the name. Would love to see his videos or see he start making videos!
Good work, Buddy 👍 .... but you should have put the majority excess dirty on the left side of the trench. It would have been easier to backfill with that plow. The right side dirt mount is close to that fence. COOL 😎 CONTENT
Those are my Dream Machines but id love to have the CAT Version yes im a Fan Boy as I drive a Truck Daily with a C18 With a Compound Turbo Setup it rips up Accelerating on 5% grades in 10th gear so if that says anything. Now you know the only thing that would change my mind is if it was someone else's engine unless it was Cummins or Perkins those two companys can build some engines too but at that point the LOGO on it really means nothing so id probably go for something else! Really if the run and make money does not matter what the logo on it says! As for slamming on that trailer Cody learn to use your boom sitting on the trailer and move the boom as your moving the tracks dont pull urself if you can just keep some weight on that bucket!! IT is very much a learned skill so your gonna have to practice you still got the new guy jerk but soon you will be Smooth As Hell On Those Controls!! Go clean your ditches its just Diesel and Getting that ditch uniform and perfect all the way down while running the controls smooth without the new guy jerk you will be GTG and the County will love ya for doing there job for them!
Never use your hands. Always drive it with your feet and keep your hands on the controls for the boom. I noticed that on the video when you were teaching E. Cut the hand controls off and learn to use feet only.
I also prefer to load with tracks in reverse and keep the weight over the trailer axles even if it means facing the machine forward. Loading in reverse you can keep your feet on the floor which helps for having control when it breaks over. Also can can just drive off of going forward to unload. Not real familiar with minis but that’s how we do large excavators on our haul truck.
There’s hand controls for a reason 😂 I’ve never used one before so it was an easier way to start out for me. Cody uses his feet (expect occasionally when driving up on the trailer) Thanks for the tips!
Definitely owe it to subscribers to upgrade the video equipment. Tripod, window mount, clamp mount so many simple gadgets to acquire for better quality. It’s sometimes tough watching when we are getting whiplashed about.🇺🇸🙏
Like we mentioned, it was already ordered. We leave the splats in because of the humor of it 😉 We value everyone watching but we aren’t professionals. 😂

Cody ain't ever wrong!!! He was just mistaken! 😂😂
😂
Men and our toys just keep getting bigger 😂😂. Good job Cody
Always! They are so useful though!
That mini x constantly beeping would drive me crazy.
That the back up beeper for Skid steer not the mini
@mysporty7149, I'm pretty sure you're wrong, considering it only beeped when he was moving the excavator lol

We have to do almost 5’ deep in Wisconsin!! Our frost goes deep! 1’ deep in Texas is very different! 😊🙃
Looks like you had good handle on the bad boy
When you load that excavator rotate the cab around to where you’re sitting sideways going up the ramps. Makes loading way easier.
They advised us specifically NOT to do it that way 🤣
Definitely not you’ll look funny when you flip
What drone are you guys using?
Don’t unscrew the cab off the tracks it’s a total mess to put it back together
