    Thanks for the updates. Please keep them coming. The deer wandering in your yard are awesome to see. We love it when the deer and turkeys hang out

      @OurLifeInTrees  2 месяца назад +2

      Yeah, agreed! We have gotten the deer comfortable enough with us that we can feed them about 10 feet away. A couple of them walk up to us and wait for us to throw food now. lol. We occasionally see turkeys here, but that’s pretty rare.
      Thanks for watching, hopefully it’s helpful and entertaining.

    This machine looks like it has a way better build quality than any of the others I've seen on here. Much more thoughtfully designed as well. Seems like it might be a good middle ground between one of the big brands, but also not an auction special.

By that I mean how the auto tilt works and how you control your vehicle and different features. Great presentation, this is one of the machines/vehicles I now have on my prio list to buy. New subscriber here, I like the new mini skid steer. I have been watching a lot of mini excavator videos and yours popped up on my to watch list. With those two pieces of equipment you have, there isn't to many jobs you can't do. You can't even buy a used name brand machine for what you have in both pieces new. Can't wait to see what all the attachments can do. I know were not neighbors but if you want to load up and come to Indiana you could take care of a few projects I need done. 😂

    As I said before, thank you for taking the time to post content about your purchase. As per your feedback, I was able to contact Derette directly and I have been in correspondence with them. Derette has answered the shipping and logistics concerns that I had, as well as other questions and concerns about the machine and attachments. I have looked online and it appears that you are the only person that I have seen that has a unit specifically from Derette. I am looking forward to more videos of you using the other attachments that you purchased. Your feedback will help me make my final decision, as to what manufacture and specifically, what unit and attachments I will buy. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day, to pass on feedback from your experience. I'm patiently looking forward to more content. Thank you and stay safe.

      Thank you. Yeah, I had trouble finding other people that had purchased from Derette. A local dealer here sells this machine and others. So I went on a mission to find the manufacturer. Derette manufactured them. They has been selling to resellers for awhile, and now they want to sell retail to end users. So there aren’t many people out there why has purchased from them. I will update videos on the attachments as I go!

    I like it.
    I'll tell you why.
    Any one can work it with no changes required for the change i.e. short, long, male or female.
    A big one the ease to get on & off.
    With all those fittings you could/will manage with just that.

      @@OurLifeInTrees Compare that unit to the ones that Ritchie Brothers offers ( AGT Industrial LRT 23 as an example ) and there is no comparison. This one beats theirs hands down on everything but the price. But theirs is not as capable. For one, theirs does not have the auto leveling arms. Two, the fuel tank is set low and would be a pain to fill as it is right at your feet. Three, your sides extend back to form a sort of cage that will protect you and also keep you from falling off sideways if you make a sharp turn. Four, yours had the hydraulic lines that are metal inside the arms for protection. The AGT's are on top of the arms where they could get damaged more easily. 5. Throttle is better located. 6. Motors are up high and not down low like on the AGT. 7. I think theirs is either a one or two pump machine. Not a 3 pump as when you operate some attachments, it affects the drive system. And the list goes on. So for twice the price, you really got more than double the machine.

    • @OurLifeInTrees
      @OurLifeInTrees  2 месяца назад

    Thay thing is built really robust, I've never seen such quality come out of China. Just the facts that the tracks use a threaded tensioners and the drive motors are up high are good design principles. Making a machine that is cheap to maintain and low tech parts and components are all good selling features which western countries just don't get.

    I like the prop rod idea. I'm wondering if some kind of bolt or pin couldn't be put through the holes while it's installed as a prop rod, to keep it from slipping off the shaft. I'd be concerned any sufficient movement could jar it out of position, eliminating it's effectiveness.

    Great video. I’ve been looking at mini excavators but now I’m thinking a skid steer might suit me. I originally wanted to do primarily trenching with the ex, but might consider one of these with a trencher attachment. That and my 250’ gravel driveway that needs annual maintenance. The local auction house seems to have many similar ones but it sounds like you pointed out some key differences with yours. I’ll have to go and take a look at them in person.

    • @OurLifeInTrees
      @OurLifeInTrees  2 месяца назад +1

      I have a mini excavator and loved it until I got this. Now the excavator just sits because almost anything I can do with the excavator I can do with the skid steer.
      The excavator is better for digging holes. It has a small finer tooth rake for cleaning up brush and yard debris. The skid’s 4in1 bucket may work well for some of that as well? It’s also good at trenching and moving the dirt out of the way, the trencher will make a dirt pile. Maybe trenching across a gravel driveway you don’t want a dirt pile?
      I’m sure I’ll find more differences as I move forward using the machines.
      Check out a Facebook group for Chinese mini skid steers. A lot of guys are having a lot of problems with the cheap auction units. Some are good, most are bad. Check into the specific one first.

    Looks nice. I own a small HYSOON machine similar to this that I got about a year ago. I don't have any attachments yet though... What I don't understand is the load capacity on yours is rated at 390KG, mine is only rated at 200KG despite being similar weighted machines. Mine does not have counter-weights though, so that probably gains you an extra 100KG or so, but I think your lift capacity may be over stated.

      @@OurLifeInTrees HYSOON is probably the first well known brand of Chinese mini skid steers. They've been around a while. Think of them like the mini skid steer bobcat of China. They've been selling them to Australia a lot. Very high quality machines by the sounds of it and they've been making the HY-380 for like 12-15 years! I only have 17 hours on mine, no issues other than the fuel gauge freaking out and bouncing around a few times. I bought mine directly from the manufacturer with a 3 gear pump for about 6K + shipping from China about 3 years ago. I actually want to get a diesel one as those have a legit 1000 pound lift capacity and have like a 2200 pound tip capacity. The diesels are around 9-10K + shipping.
      I need to get an auger and pallet forks for sure, not sure what other attachments I'd like.
