    That's a pretty sweet setup. Do you have a CDL? GVWR on that E450 is at least 14000lbs and that trailer looks like it got 8 lug axles so its GVWR should also be around 14000lbs. GCVWR puts you around 28000lbs, that puts you in CDL territory.

    • @OurLifeInTrees
      @OurLifeInTrees 5 минут назад

      I don’t. I gave thought about that. The ambulance empty is 9900lbs plus the trailer is a 14k trailer. I pulled it at about 23k lbs last week. Don’t need a CDL for personal use. If I start doing jobs for people or any paid services I may need to look into that. For now, it’s just our toy and a just okay with my machines at our cabin and house with the occasion neighbor help.

    "Nick and raychel" RUclips channel used a Ford ambulance for living their van life. They even drove it from Canada to Mexico. Too bad it is only a 2wd, so they got stuck in the sand by the beach in Baja, Mexico.

    I recently started looking at different pieces of equipment and for the price point they would be great but for myself im reluctant to buy because the quotes of product and shipping its at the point for a little more $ I can get a nice used product where I can test out before buying it and make sure im completely happy... If the pricing was better id buy it and not even consider if I will like how it operates ... I would just deal with it..... I like the videos on them.

    Awesome rig and hook ups. Love the storage. Can you possibly do a video on the specifics and APP connection of that Blue Tooth Brake Controller. I'm looking at cargo trailers and trying to decide whether to stay at the 3000 lb weight, 6X12' without trailer brakes or go over that with a 7X12' or maybe a 14' rated up to 7k lbs. This means having the gain actuator installed in my 2017 RAM 1500 Longhorn. It already has the harness behind the dash ready to go. The blue tooth thing seems to be a much simpler and moveable application instead of paying Dodge to rip my dash apart and install that controller. How long have you been using it and how has it performed for you? Thanks!

    • @OurLifeInTrees
      @OurLifeInTrees 8 часов назад

      Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. I pulled an 8.5x20 enclosed with my 2019 1500 Ram. It worked, but was kinda scary! lol Cheaper than a Dodge install would be Uhaul. I hear they install trailer stuff cheap. At least for the hitch, not sure about brake controllers. Iva shad it for over two years and it’s worked great. I bought mine from trailer, yet I see they are on Amazon now too. Here is a link. amzn.to/4joLheS

    11:04 when you use a ratchet strap you are supposed to leave a little bit of slack so that the strap spools more on the hub rather than just having one go around so the strap bites into itself and has a stronger resistance to slipping. Based on the rating of even a cheap E track ratchet strap and the load on it to hold up your bed I'm sure you would get away with it but it's hard to watch a video where somebody is so good at doing everything the right way but make a common mistake like that 🤔. The only reason I ever learned it is because I'm a trucker and now I see other drivers and shipping personnel not know all the time and when I show them they always say the same thing I did when someone corrected me... "AHHHHHH!!"

    I have the INFRONT yk450, very similar to yours, but it has a single, big, toothed drive wheel at the back of the track. It is so easy to put the track back on. It will just "drive" the track back on. I LOVE IT. I don't think i would like the high drive style. Yes it looks cooler, but it has that tiny rear idler wheel that usually goes bad because it has all that drive stress on it every time you go forward. Also, the INFRONT has a loader prop device that his held on and released with 1 single little spring pin clip.

    Dean selling bad machines I bought the v1000 within 3 weeks it's started having. Electrical problems I took the machine to a certified Kubota skid steer mechanic shop where they going to go through the whole machine and do reviews I told dean and even video him all the problems the machine was having he couldn't give me a answer and then I told him we taking the machine to a mechanic to go through it he got scared and said the machine was old they upgraded more things I should buy a new machine and do reviews they don't test there machines very well before they sell they don't test there machines in max working conditions they only light test there machines that's why they having issues with there machines because they don't never test there machines in fully work mode condition

      Didn’t you buy your machines from Hightop? Aren’t your machines rental units as well? In the video I say they are great for homeowner use. I don’t know if I would want to beat them to death. They are also the kind of machine that are easy to work on yourself and most shops wouldn’t touch. I talk about that in other videos. Thanks for your input, I appreciate the comment.

      Let's say you have facelift 0. Actual machines are maybe facelift 3. It's a normal process. Kubota is serius company and can't release facelift 0. Maybe even facelift 3. But also their machines have issues. For sure.

      @@OurLifeInTrees yes hightop buy there machines from dean and resell they just change the name they even sell the v1000 they even sell the machine you have BF450 dean supplies hightop and a v100 shouldn't go out that fast I only rented it 2 times it went out with electrical problems within 2 weeks and also it's still in the shop and also I work on them myself I had the same problems you had with the BF450 I changed the drive motor 3 times on each side and also sometimes the hydraulic lines get tight where you can put attachments lines on them so you have to realese the pressure I even go to China I meet dean twice I go to China every 3 to 6 months 3 times out of the year alot of suppliers do some pretty sneaky things what I have seen even shippers now I have a assistant in china who works on the ground for me she buys in her name so they can honor warranty because she knows the Chinese law if you buy from them as a foreigner most of them won't honor your warranty they don't have to i ran into those problems they will tell you 1 year and after you receive the machine in usa they stop answering or tell you to pay but dean has been pretty honest with his warranty so far china definitely gets tricky I been importing many things from China last 5 years so I have tons of experience I even go over there to test

    They are just snowed under with orders and build times are a way longer than quoted. I was told 25 days to build my 480i but it's at 77 days now. I'm confident I will get the machine but wish they had been a bit more upfront about the build times. I would have still gone ahead if I'd known it would be close to a 3 month build but would have liked to know up front.

    I have a boxer 320 and paid what you paid to get it used 10 years ago. I still use the machine and it holds it value. I thought the china minis would drop the price on dingos but it doesnt seem to effect it much. The availability of attachments is great. I rented a brush cutter for $300 and its was priced around 3k to buy. So Im glad thats theres competition for the attachments.
