    Death in the shape of a panzer battalion...
    How is this not one of the bands that get really famous and then people stop liking them simply cause they're famous but they're really awesome?
    Cause they're good enough to be like that.

  • @ajsknight
    @ajsknight 16 лет назад

    On a sidenote its nice to find someone who is more aware and informed about those particular events we talk about then the general amount of people who simply know what the news tell them :).
    At least someone to talk with you know :).

    Holy shit :D I never thought of putting this song together with Armored Core! Great experiment, worked out perfectly! Awesome song, awesome band and awesome game series. Those who haven't played it, check it out.

    That's total beastliness, man. You did an awesome job on this vid.
    And to all morons arguing about WWII, Russians never allied with Germany, they had a peace pact to not attack each other. However, Hitler broke it and invaded Russia, which prompted them to join the allies against the Axis powers.

    This is one of the best songs with Sabaton. And Sabaton is one of the best bands ever.

  • @GustavCHOOD

    Exactly!
    The germans problem however was, while they built 300 tigers, the Allies constructed 50 000 shermans, and that left the germans too thin to successfully mount a defence. They also had the russians brilliant t-34 rolling in from the east, which though it couldn't match the tiger, turned every single panzer into scrap.

  • @98RamMagnum
    @98RamMagnum 16 лет назад

    The Song is about the American Armoured Units in the beginning of the current war, which is why they talk about being back, Panzer is the common German/Germanic(Sweden and countrys similar) word for Tank.

    Well hello there, good fellow. That is the exact reason that I removed the AMV part from the name. However, I apparently forgot to remove it from the video description and so I apologize if this were to your annoyance in any way. I shall be removing it soon when I find the time.

    @MrWolfpackleader Yes, Armored Core 4 and it's sequel Armored Core For Answer are for Xbox 360 and PS3. I reccommend getting for answer though. It has more parts and is (sorta) easier to play.

  • @Tanekh
    @Tanekh  15 лет назад

    ...That's an adorable comment. Of course I'll tell you, the game in this video is Armored Core 4 and some parts are from Armored Core 3. There ya go!

  • @iHateSpoilerz

    It's not only AC3 and 4. There are scenes from Armored Core 2 , and the AC firing the laser cannon is from "AC The Last Raven", but they are still awesome! Currently playing 3, and probably addicted to it :P with Silent Line next

    Let me tell you then. A pact doesn't have to mean a damn alliance. It simply implies a treaty, or an agreement. Sure, they divided up Poland and Europe, but that doesn't mean they were allies. The Pact was made so that the Nazis and the Soviets wouldn't kill each other and interfere in each others' plans. It was called the Treaty of Non-Aggression for a reason.

  • @Tanekh
    @Tanekh  13 лет назад

    @JandTtime
    Indeed it does! However, what I wanted to do here was to stray from the obvious path of using actual panzers and instead go with something that shared the same attributes but that interested me more ;).

  • @ajsknight
    @ajsknight 16 лет назад

    Napalm in the WWII as far as I know did not existed the way it did in Vietnam but of course people used flamethrowers and the like there but well its a difference whether you attack a few soldiers with a flamethrower or fly a napalm strike over an entire village burning EVERYTHING within it to dust whether civilians, vietcongs or whatever ... .

    By the way thats what I meant with also the CIA as the agencies of the US already knew beforehand that there were no WMD's or chemical weaponry of Mass-destruction located in the Iraq and that it was just a reason for the US Army to march into the country and not only "liberate the people of Iraq" from Saddams dictatorship which after all it was (though ironically some people of the Iraq in those times had no problem with this dictatorship as long as some leaked informations go ;) ).

    U.S had been in war for 3 years before the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs.
    The U.S. Army led the invasion of Normandy.
    The U.S. Army was the decisive factor when the Alliance finally won the war.
    To say that they just got lucky only shows how little you know about WW2

  • @ajsknight

    IoI dude this song from Sabaton is for the Gulf War written for the American tankers and NOT for nazi-germany nor their tanks! They took just the word Panzer because it fits better with the rhytm of the song and I hope you know that Sabaton is swedish so there you go!
    So for the last time this song is dedicated to American Tankers!

  • @FINdestinymaker
    @FINdestinymaker 15 лет назад

    You shouldn't judge every patriot and nationalist because of what happened in the WWII. I'm a partiot but I would never wanna attack any country, but I'm ready to fight for my Fatherland if necessary. I don't need to be blood thirsty and some kind of militarist to love my country and to be proud of it. Peace.

  • @ajsknight
    @ajsknight 16 лет назад

    Its simply the fact that undermines and obviously shows how bad real actual wars can be let alone the bigger brother of those like the 2 WWs! It is true that the civilians are nearly always caught between the lines and have to suffer but the like I said the US never wanted to have civilian causaulties at least from the civilian population that does not follow the regime and hence should be as protected as possible from the war that raged in their country.

  • @ajsknight
    @ajsknight 16 лет назад

    Quite a difference ay?! Guys the Nazi period was one of the last and most worst times and no words can make this shine in a better light, period! Trust me I know it I have read the right books from a mate!

  • @mtldrmr

    @Kamakize789 What about Apaches and Chinnoks? The American military takes names and learns lessons from their enemies. Paratroopers in America used to say "Geronimo" as they jumped, because it was a way to pay respect to the great native american warrior Geronimo, who jumped of a cliff rather than surrendering and being taken prisoner. America knows the german tank warfare and blitzkreig they fought against it and now they use it as parts of their strategy. No insult just information

  • @ajsknight
    @ajsknight 16 лет назад

    Therefore I'd say Elldallan that the US never had to display any power or might of their military in any theatre because every san and intelligent person knows that Americas military budget already displays this power. Apart from this you are right and I agree :).

    There's one problem though, most patriots/nationalists don't believe in peace. There is no glory in peace. There's a certain self-importance that most of them practice, and this dehumanizes others in their eyes.
    If all patriots/nationalists were peaceful, I'd be one too, but sadly most aren't.
    Peace, indeed.

  • @ajsknight
    @ajsknight 16 лет назад

    Its really the truth! The US of A spends around ~700 billion dollars per anno for its entire military which is nearly 50% of the entire worlds military budget and NO other country in the world can keep up with this and thats why the US has such a gigantic high-tech military which does not come for cheap ;).

    @Elldallan 16 лет назад

    98RamMagnum you are right that panzer is the german word for tank but you are wrong that it's the same for "Sweden and countrys similar".
    The swedish equivalent is Stridsvagn, in norwegian is Stridsvogn, and in danish is kampvogn. In english it's usually tank and what the dutch and the icelanders calls it I have no idea but those are the major languages derived from germanic.

  • @SirMandokarla
    @SirMandokarla 13 лет назад

    So, rather than figure out why the music video isn't about tanks, I'm trying to figure out why anybody cares. It's a good song, it's a good game. How does this not make sense to anybody else? Naturally the infamously powerful Panzer would be associated in a person's mind with the incredibly destructive Armoured Core NEXT. Btw, is that all you playing the games?

You see, instead of doing the obvious (that is, showing the audience a bunch of tanks going about their business) I choose to use something that shares many of the attributes with the obvious choice (heavily armored, loads of fire power, etc.). Thus catering the video to fit my interests more. I am sorry that it did not cater to yours, however.

    Well on this one I would not totally agree and do not think that I am pro American but as far as I as European think, it was never needed for America to display its military power towards the rest of the World because the amount that the congress every year signs in for military budget for the US Army, Navy and Air Force is enough to help nearly the entire third world country to have at least something to eat ;).

  • @Vggamegod

    i meant most modern wars, patriotism and nationalism dont start the wars, but they're the reason people fight them.
    pride is sickening - look at world war 2, why did the german soldiers fight for such a monster? nationalism, patriotism, and of course pride.
    why do soldiers in the U.S. fight in an obviously stupid war? patriotism, nationalism, and of course pride.
    i would fight to defend human lives, but i would never fight to defend a government.

You know World Wars are called for a reason WORLD Wars ^^.

    More atrocities like The Mukaradeeb Wedding party massacre, the Haditha killings, the Mahmudiyah killings, the Hamdania incident. the Blackwater Baghdad shootings, the actions of troops from the 101st Airborne on May 9th 2006, The actions of brittish soldiers on a video that leaked out in february 2006.
    It is impossible to win a war were you are fighting a guerilla of the local people except to undermine the people's support of the guerilla and the coalition forces are doing just the opposite.

  • @GustavCHOOD

    It could do that, but for instance: "This time were here, to finish our job, started a decade ago" does not match the war in sahara during ww2.

  • @ajsknight
    @ajsknight 16 лет назад

    Well Napalm is a completely different think onigojira as far as I know ;).
    You know the things that happened during 'Nam was also not right and very gruesome as those "coordinated Napalm strikes" which were meant to root out "Charlies" or more former known "Vietcong" encampments and fortifications unfortunately also hit the civilians and their small villages due to misinformations from the "other side" etc. ;).

    By the way how can you even make a judgement about me when you do not even read my comments dude ;). I am certainly not missing then just telling what I get when I READ YOUR statements ;).
