Steve Rogers is Captain America! Not Sam Wilson! Sam Wilson is Falcon!
Even Bucky is the Captain América 😂
And i mean by fight style and being a Boomer
Falcon is just meh is not even a character
@@Morfe02 👍👍
Might end up being less Falcon than Turkey…
They keep trying to make him a thing but it's never worked.
Yes, exactly.
“Nearly”??? It’ll need at least $1.2 Billion and that’s being conservative.
For a D tier character with a Story that meh,
Maybe tony can pull an inside out and ask the terrorists this time about their inside feelings
Marvel needs to scale down & rethink their budgets. They're outta control nowadays since Endgame.💀
That's what I've been saying! Movies post 2019 need to triple their money on a win at minimum!
I think I'd rather see the1990 Captain America with the Italian Red Skull rather than this thing.
At least with the 1990 Captain America, you saw every dollar on screen. Albert Pyun (R.I.P) used every part of the buffalo as they say.
That sounds amazing 🤌
As hokey as that was, that is preferable to what Disney has been spitting out mostly after Endgame.
The only way I will watch this new Captain America trash fire is to pirate it.
“ You have to do better Disney “!
I have Disney and I haven't bothered to watch several of their most recent MCU movies.
I wouldn't even pirate this.
I'm not even sure if Pirates wants to distribute this disaster
@@martaduran6257 We watch movies a few days a week, and the marvels came up. It was REALLY hard finding a quality rip for that one as we werent keen on actually renting it.
Several people have watched the marvel series and during the marvels, they knew some background that we didnt. Ultimately, it did nothing more than them giving a short explanation for us.
It has 0 re-watchability unlike movies like godzilla, mission impossible, etc. Which ironically are movies you can find quality rips for easilly.
That may have worked at one time, but definitely not now. Not many people I know, will fork out $40-$50 to get lectured to? Disney Marvel got away with this in their streaming series, cause you can pause and come back later. Sitting over 2.5hrs to watch some C list Avenger written by amateurs, is simply not in the cards for most people. They’re going to lose a boatload. 😂
Given the price of movie tickets these days, I don’t even go to the theater for movies I actually WANT to see.
Well if you don't support them Hollywood will go bankrupt.
These are not movies anymore. They are expensive propaganda. Profits are nice but loosing money still gets the message out .
Every time I hear what the Break Even point is, the more I’m convinced someone is using these movies to launder money.
Look, I like Mackie, but he’s not a Billion Dollar leading man. The movie will likely do well, but if it breaks even I’ll be amazed.
I liked him in Twisted Metal.
Seriously on the laundering money front, no clue where they keep getting the money to make such decisions for their films. I would not be surprised at all if a lot of disneys stuff is just a front for some human trafficking or something absolutely bonkers.
Money laundering is transferring illegally gained money onto the books of a legitimate business.
What you're suggesting is the opposite. Funneling legal money into illegal activities. It would be something like "money soiling"
After Titanic became a huge hit, Arnie was on stage at the Oscars and said that "Titanic might actually show profits that no accountant can hide." He laughed knowingly and the crowd had an uneasy look about them. They are all liars and all of them know it.
@@mayorpufnstuf4470I think he means all the profits from these illicit activities are going into these cinematic flops so Disney can write it all off as losses. If it really were “soiling,” then these movies would be turning a profit. They aren’t.
"Do better, Senator" was what killed it for me. I knew the movie was going to be more of the same. The fact that they showed it internally and it failed and so many reshoots just means its going to be hot garbage
It was such a cringeworthy scene. Disney and their modern day political allegory written into fiction, just turns everyone off.
LOL - the movie isn't even going to break $300M. The M-She-U is dead...just like Star Wars.
God willing
not unalived enough if you ask me
I like Anthony Mackie as an actor, but he hasn’t proved himself as a leading actor. This movie is going to middling well; but will not make its money back
Did you catch him in Twisted Metal, I think he did pretty good.
This has nothing at all to do with Anthony Mackie or whether he’s a leading man or not. The production issues that have tanked this movie are on Disney, Fiege, the director, and the writers.
What writers lol
He's got this. As long as the story is good fans will buy into him as the new captain America. It will do a billion or at least close to a billion.
@@jonfreeman9682LOL SHILL!!!
I don't know anyone excited or even talking about this version of Captain America. I don't think I want to pay to be preached at or watch Disney pretend to be morally superior to our culture,
This is due to Bob Iger’s firing of Ike Perlmutter, which was the one who kept Marvel films on budget, on-time and said no to Kevin Feige’s moronic ideas! (his firing was their biggest mistake)
If it needs to gross a billion... then it bombed before it reached the gate.
Seriously, when was the last time a movie grossed a billion?
@@atomicninjaduck9200inside out 2 literally just recently did
If they made a Falcon movie that could work, they don't even need to race swap him. But captain america? Without captain america? What the hell
Sam was Cap in the comics so what's your grievance?
@@marcroberts5251 And it didn't sell there either which is why they brought Steve back. Why do you people always bring this up like it's actually some kind of success story? Yes, IT HAPPENED, but that doesn't mean that it sholud have or that it was a success.
@@marcroberts5251Falcon is NOT Captain America period. Steve Roger's is Captain America. This movie will flop horribly.
@@jimthar17 I'm don't have to "celebrate" shit, I'm a comic book reader just like the millions of people are, if you even do your research, multiple people have held the title of Cap, touch grass brother.
@@seanmc7128 it may or may not, time will tell, idgaf as long as the story's decent
Disney will just point at the black guy and be like "look a black man, now give us money"
They expect an Avengers Engame Box office on a fourth captain America movie (with a different Cap from the previous movies). You are screwed, Marvel.
They all need investigating.
Just keep the whitebread white and the toasted bread toasted. No need to interchange. There are plenty of great toasted characters.
Just say black and white lol
why would it have anything to do with skin colour? Its a new character created for a new audience, thats why it will fail. When you mention skin colour it proves... a lot.
@@kgold01no, it’s a white character “re-imagined” to promote a BS social justice agenda. You’re just being purposefully obtuse
@@kgold01sam Wilson is not a new character in the MCU and especially in the comics.
@@kgold01 not a new character. They made it about colour.
I think they ask themselves "how can I lose more money in a film?", make a brain storm and them put everything that they think os the best to lose money in the project.
This will be like the Mad Max Furiosa flop! As they learned making a movie without its main character like the Chris Evens Capt' will sink like a led balloon 🎈 😖
Or 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever', a Black Panther movie in which T'Challa the Black Panther DIES OFF SCREEN, and his little sister Shuri tries but EPIC FAILs to fill his shoes.
Is anyone running a tally of how much Disney has lost between Star Wars and Marvel over the last year? How much money can they possibly continue to throw at all this social engineering without seeing a return on their investment?
When youre serving Satan, its not a lost cause for them. Money for souls.
The financial organizations that support woke idiocy will never run out of money until the economy collapses. Until then they can keep pumping disney with more woke money.
The thing Hollywood doesn’t seem to understand is that things have a shelf life. The super hero thing was HUGE for awhile. And while it may not be dead just yet, it's not far off. They spend more and more and, even if they make the same as their predecessors, the profit margin shrinks. They have a thoroughbred horse they're riding around the track, breaking speed records but, even when they've ridden it into the ground, they're still using the riding crop to beat it, hoping to get another 50 yards out of it. Plus, Disney flat out oversaturated the market with superhero stuff. That's poor long term planning.
Coca Cola learned the hard way that people don't want New Coke, they want Coke Classic. In the same way Marvel fans want Captain America Classic, not New Cap. This is definitely going to be another huge finical flop for Disney/Marvel. And as usual they'll blame the fans and call everyone a racist to cover up their latest embarrassing failure.
Yeah … it needs $800 MIL to break even give or take.
Given that mainstream audiences have only see Falcon take the mantle in Endgame … and many have NOT seen WintwrSoldier/Falcon Disney + show …. NOT GOOD NEWS
The Guardians and Deadpool movies make around that much. I can't see this getting to that level
More than that with the cost of marketing on top. It will be almost a billion to break even. Never gonna happen.
@@JurassicRod this is assuming a $188 plus MIL on marketing and theaters taking 33% off the gross, and $350 MIL (the conservative amount for the production budget) 😊
@@GIBBO4182 yeah … if anything this film should lead into AVENGERS 5 which should be about US government (Thunderbolts) arresting the NEW and YOUNG Avengers because of “stuff” …
… (how ELSE do you remind people of all those Disney + shows they didn’t watch)
… that we later find out it was multiversal villains .. which leads into SECRET WARS 😀
How much money will this one lose? People that did see Falcon and Winter Soldier hated it, and those that didn’t see the show will be wondering about the new personalities for the two and be turned off by them.
I watched it, it was decent on Barnes' side, with the penance of his previous life, but they forgot that Steve can throw the shield that hard because he was juiced up... watching Sam stick it into a tree on his own took me away from it all. The racial overtones may also work for some, but not for me as well.
@@Zetirix That’s fair. And I obviously didn’t mean every single person that watched it hated it. It was a generality, but a lot of people said that they tried to make Walker a bad guy when he understood how to ‘be’ Cap better than Sam or Bucky. Like when he dropped the shield to save civilians instead of chasing the bad guy.
They say that money is as addictive as cocaine, is it the same for losing money? Each project is more expensive and they literally don't care.
Hollywood accounting is infamously opaque. When we hear a production “lost” $X millions, remember that money went into someone’s pocket. Occasionally a comment will talk about money-laundering but it’s time for stockholders to take the possibilities seriously.
There isn't a snowball's chance in "SUPER HELL" that this movie WON'T 💣 ...you are going BLEED MONEY disney! 🤣
I think it's because he's not Captain America...
Captain Falcon is going to be a tough sell
And he’s natural. He didn’t take the formula, so he isn’t even a super hero. He’s cosplay. Total flop
I keep thinking Disney is somehow laundering money and making expensive flops on purpose...
Probably
Be ready for yet ANOTHER price increase for Disney+
I don't give a crap about any of these dumb comic books hero crap movies. I would never pay to see a 90% CGI movie.
These overbloated budgets for more flash than substance. All for a character that should have just stayed as how they were originally instead of trying to shove them into Cap's shoes and shield.
Hey Disney, here is an idea. Make a good movie, and you won't have to spend so much money on reshoots. Also, if your movie is good, it will make money. Stop making garbage movies, and you shouldn't have to remake them multiple times.
I still think they should have just named the movie FALCON or something while using the original source material to create a badass movie, like ant man, that was noice.
I cant wait to see the reviews for the movie. I walked on on marvel after thor 4
Last film for me too! Not wanting to give Disney my money ever again even for DP & Wolverine.
Is anyone else sick of Esposito yet? Jeez. If they had just called Mackie's character "Captain Falcon," i think there would be a lot of good will instead of antipathy.
I've been sick of him for a while once people started creaming themselves over him because has on BB. Now he's in everything and people act like he's the greatest actor working because he was on a TV show that was supposedly good. Anytime anyone talks about Farcry 6 all they talk about is him and he's BARELY in the game. Same thing with Pedro Pascal. Sick of seeing him too. Mr Fantastic, my ass!
@jimthar17 I never liked him. I knew of him before "The Boys," but I forget from where. I guess he plays a douchebag well, but I just dislike his... everything. LOL! ✌️
Most of Disney’s problems could be solved by having a hard budget that you can’t go over if you’re the producer. So much money wasted because directors and producers just seem to assume that Disney won’t say no when they ask for more cash for reshoots and extra CGI.
MARVEL? What's that? Is that that DISNEY company that hit its peak with ENDGAME and has been rapidly eroding since?
Captain African America looks dope.
You’ve got to give us money senator.
While Anthony Mackey is fine. I wouldn't put a billion dollar franchise on em
There's no way they're aiming to create a marketable product.
Someone's is clearly running off with the money.
INCOMING dumpster fire, same dumpster different fire
I just imagine when this movie inevitably failes the executives will all be in their boardroom committing seppuku.
Thank you, Jeff, and Happy 4th of July! I appreciate your constitution with having to stomach this crap for shared review.
When laundering money, reporting big losses benefits Disney. Where did a billion dollars go? Whoops , we lost it due to bad movies . Maybe I'm wrong. Just seems suspicious to me.
With the death of the movie star as a concept, no matter how A-list actors they put into the mix, its going to be "meh" at best. Killing Iron man and trying to overflow the screens was way too much.
Captain CRT & Woke New Worlds! Is not only going to bomb, but it's going to set records of how badly Disney will lose money from that movie! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Like anyone wants to see discount Captain “you got to do better” America for $50??? 😂
Black Panther 2= No black panther.
Captain America 4= No Captain America
Good job Disney
They screwed up, not by giving Sam the shield, but by changing his name. JUST USE THE SHIELD! It's so stupid. But it wasn't about the story. It was about Cap being Black. As if that F'ng matters. Just let Falcon be Falcon and make his own way. Like Steve Rogers did.
Paying customers want the real Cap, not his sidekick Falcon playing dress up as Cap.
There's NO WAY the 'new' cap could have survived the same elevator scene that was in winter soldier cuz he's just a sidekick with no super powers. So why pay to see this?
Well, that’s not Captain America
Steve Roger's is Captain America and Sam Wilson is Falcon.
"food, clothes, toys... all seem to be on the rise"
Even at Ollie's?
I’m tired of shared universes. I just want good standalone stories. Not endless content!
Agree 100%.
@@jimthar17 The MCU (earth 199999) continuity has especially overstayed its welcome.
It'll be lucky to even get a quarter of that after everything they've done to us.
A Sam Wilson Captain America and a General Thaddeus E. "Thunderbolt" Ross or Red Hulk that should be in a nursing home, 1billion easy.
This is gonna bomb and then they will blame fans for being raicst
This is gonna flop … hard.
I don't watch Disney films but I enjoy watching them lose their financial asses. #schadenfreude
Bob Iger sounds like the pointy-haired boss from the Dilbert comic strip.
Insane numbers
I won't be running out to see this one , on day one
There is no way in hell that it's going to make that much money....
I honestly had no idea there were making this movie until now
1B dollars. Yeah, I am sure it will make it....SUUURE.
Ssssoooo they're doing reshoots! And I bet it still doesn't have a script because the "director" is still using his notebook. If this movie ever comes out I expect Anthony Mackey will not sign another Marvel contract and will never work for them again
Cost goes up due to the workers being worked too hard by Disney and probably each contract they have to work quicker and harder.
Price on everything goes up except my paycheck.
Uh..maybe you should have Captain America in your Captain America movie?
I would like to belive its money laundry at this point. But diseney is filled with people that dont know what they are doing. And a lot of disney reeshoots are becauas they write and record at the same time. And that has been reported on other movies. If they seat and made a good freaking script to begin with. They might expend less in reeshoots and cgi.
You need the reality stone to fix the problem.
Even if they do make a profit how pathetically rich is it to bet 1 billion to make 1.01 billion
Marvel's palms are sweaty.
knees' weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on their sweater already
that splash page just doesn't pop without Iron Man and Thor .... they really messed that studio up.
I wont watch even the trailer of this woke disaster
A happy orc is a nonexistent orc. What's a scared, angry dictator to do?
This movie stands a phenomenal chance being the biggest flop in motion picture history.
IF Disney course corrected, we won't see it until 2027-ish.
Theirs already a movie based on what’s going on. And the beginning of the downfall… and we already saw it… it’s called: They lived ❤️🇦🇺
Yes the new captain America movie is Dead on arrival.
“This could be the end of Marvel”
They saw inside out 2 was making $$$ so they chose to balance it to out with this lol
Its gotten so bad that they keep hinting that Robert Downey Jr. May be coming back as soon as the new Captain America movie 😒
Seeing Zeegy do another tantrum would be pure gold!
My issue with the Deadpool movies is they are basically stand alone movies. They don't feel part of the MCU at all. So they don't benefit the MCU. they don't seem to be leading to anything or building towards anything. That was what made marvel special when iron man released. Each film was working towards a goal.
With all these (D)isney films and shows costing so much, makes you wonder what they're laundering.
1:53 *It was....WAS the biggest cinematic franchise in history.* The MCU has been over the hill, and overstayed it's welcome with the masses, for YEARS now.
The few exception to rule about replacing lagacy characthers are Barry West and Terry Magginis aka the third flash and Batman Beyond
I don't know about Flash stuff, but Terry worked largely because he supplemented the story of DCAU Bruce Wayne instead of outright replacing him. He fights his own new villains and protects a different kind of Gotham.
More importantly, Batman Beyond is as much about Bruce as it is about Terry. He's present in the story, and he struggles with his forced retirement conflicting with his vow to fight crime. Old age and bad health forcing him to stop also isn't a massive contrivance.
Should've made Bucky the Cap to fit in with the comics, but alas, [current year] doesn't allow it. Probably for the best since Disney would destroy even more characters again.
This has to be some Ukraine level money laundry.. Will the big guy still get his 10%?
Unlikely
Wait, let me comprehend this Movie! 1 movie made for $1,000,000,000.00. something is telling me that these so called Flop Films are actually a cash grab that hides large amounts of money from innocent investers while appearing to be a financial loss and a way to wash funds that fuel unjustified payroll. Is it possible that executives, producers, directors, actors/actresses and movie studios be bought up on Riko charges? We are in the end of the golden age of scaming and the amount of corruption is a movie.
A
billion dollar!!!!??!
I’ll do it for $150,000 and it will kick the asses of all this other garbage.
A billion? That in itself is a bit of a stretch.
They should have never passed the mantle. A stand alone Black Falcon movie would have been cheaper to make and would have grossed larger.
I only remember the guy by "you need to do better senitor", what character is this guy actually
Secret Wars got me into comics. Nice frame pick.
