I think Chevy has a winner here.. I really like what they have done. To be honest u can buy a base model Telluride or Palisade and get a way better warranty and they are proven. I do have a 2021 Palisade SE. not one issue and the warranty u can’t beat just my two cent. But good job Chevy that truck is a big improvement.
Telluride, Palisade, Honda and Subaru have all standard adaptive cruise with a very good working lane centering assist, additonal to that all these come with 5000 lbs towing capacity and pre-wired for hitch and brake controller... The chevrolet is the most expensive one and does not have any of the features above a third row scam window, leg room is also bad in third row...
I looked at all 5 yesterday.
Thank you for another GM review Ben. They decided to make Traverse more agressive a truck like for this design. That is why it looks like a Tahoe. Not bad value for the price what you get.
very bad value for what you get compared to competition, they all come with standard adaptive cruise, lane centering assist and 5000 lbs towing capacity all pre-wired... the Traverse LS has nothing of this and is still the most expensive.
Please do a Blazer RS (ice) if you can! Also if you do will you show it in tight spaces? Thats my main concern with it (maneuverability)
The Rear taillights remind me of the current Toyota Sienna rear taillights.
Good price for what you get TBH
Honestly not a lot of people need or use AWD therefore it becomes an added expense and drags down gas mileage
Chevrolet is messing up on this one, they needed a naturally aspirated version for this family oriented vehicle. Earlier buyers of traverses will soon find out that turbo engines surely are more powerful but require sitricter maintenance. The 3.6 was a good engine, the transmission in it was dog water though. I see a future bad rep for reliability on these, not cause of the engine itself, more so because of the customers not knowing turbo engines require more maintenance. If chevy somehow made reliable turbos that dont require much maintenance as normal then they might have the gold standard here. But.... I heavily doubt it. They're going to have to have a Naturally Aspirated option for the Majority of folks. Turbos are nice and all but not everyone can keep up with them. Like I said either Chevy will grow with these or fall once again with these vehicles.
Absolutley right, also the car is insanly expenisve, i looked yesterday at Chevy, Honda, Kia, Hyundai and even Subaru. All the competition comes with adaptive cruise and a very nice lane centering assist (i own a hyundai palisade since 2 years, 80k miles now) additonal to that they all have 5000lbs towing capacity, pre-wired even without hitch. Traverse LS has nothing and you cannot even get the LS for 5000lbs towing, what a freaking joke.
BTW i did a 6500mile rountrip with my hyundai with a 5000lbs travel trailer, i never had an issue in my two years of ownership.
Yeah, seeing that many trucks on the lot tells you everything you need to know about the current car market
Yeah, you’re not getting 20 K off so take your broke self and go to the used car lot
ironically, it’s because of people who think they can afford these monstrosities like you that the car market is so effed up
as if you can afford these trucks LOL. go ahead and try to buy one
Wow, not bad for 38k, I thought it would be more.
very bad compared to competition, which all come with standard adaptive cruise, lane centering assist and 5000 lbs towing capacity all pre-wired... the Traverse LS has nothing of this and is still the most expensive.
You could buy one heck of a used 4runner for that price.
Used is a gamble and so is Toyota these days
@@XX-166I have had two Toyotas that were garbage. Never again.
@@jpsabovebeyondfreezedriedg1961 yes, these are not the Toyotas of 70s-late 90s and in addition to that manufacturers are parts sharing to save money on production and hoping these mix matches work long term
@@jpsabovebeyondfreezedriedg1961 your anecdote means nothing
@@jpsabovebeyondfreezedriedg1961I wouldn’t say I hate Toyota, I just hate the designs like the rav4 and the Corolla, but ones like the tundra and the Tacoma and the Supra I like
Not affordable, did you check the money factor ? It’s horrible.
Is the 2.5L 4cylinder engine related to the 2.7L 4 cylinder? Does anyone know?
Yes it is
Chevy traverse is a good suv go out buy a traverse
It’s affordable because it’s crap. It looks good, and that’s literally the only thing it has going for it. Buying any 3 row Honda, Mazda, or Toyota makes much more sense for every reason under the sun. Yes, they might cost $2-3k more upfront but you’ll get 100% of that back in reliability and resale value.
TLDR never buy GM when there is something similar available from Japan.
Those taillights r awful… If u look at the rear 3/4 u can add an eye & fangs & u have an open mouth snake..
Tha affordable tahoe
