Looks cool. I would hope to use this or something similar with a cellular connection to see it when away from home but I guess that would take some more set up. Thanks for doing videos like this. It's nice to see what options are out there to help protect the family.
Did you try to access cameras menu with Internet explorer? (it still exists on Win10) It usually works, Mozilla, chrome, and other browsers are not that compatible with Foscam plugin.
Sorry for my bad english but I hope you understand my question. At 2:25 you rotate the body only in up/down direction. At 7:22 the mounting plate is right-angled from the body and it looks possible to rotate in left/right direction. Is it possible to change the orientation of the camera body ? Thanks for your help !
Could you please let me know about it working from your Linux machine, because I have no Windows around, and I would really like to buy that kind of camera. Due to dynamic IP address and some "security" configuration of my Internet service provider, I can't get to any of my devices connected to my internal network, so getting access to the camera through their own web-interface is crucial.
my FI9900Ps are setup as wifi with the upgraded (purchased separately) antennas - you can have them setup as wifi only and then plug them into the router/ network cable without having to reset - you simply unplug them from the router and they then go back to wifi connections - I had to do this to upgrade the firmware but thankfully now the firmware upgrades can me done over the air.
Nigel Harrison I purchased one of this and it disconnects every 2/3 hours and then it doesn't work anymore. I've set a static ip but it wasn't a solution. The camera is very close to the router (wifi mode). What can I do? I don't want to use the Ethernet connection. Thank you
+Simone Saleri Hi Simone - not had a problem with mine - its located on the outside of my house monitoring my driveway however I changed the antenna for a larger 5dbi outdoor antenna rather than use the smaller one that comes supplier with the FI9900 - heres the link ( www.foscam.com/product/29.html ) I have my FI9900 constantly recording to my QNAP NAS drive so I can playback recorded footage - always connected and never drops out. Have you checked your firmware version and ensured its the latest version - my details are : Device Information (accessible via web browser connected to my foscam) System Firmware - 1.11.1.8 Application Firmware Version - 2.74.1.32 IP configuration - Obtain IP from DHCP Hope the above information helps Regards Nigel.
Maybe someone can assist, i have contacted the foscam app people several times and they don't know what is going on. here is my issue - when i first got the FI9900P camera a month ago I set the app on my android, i received pushed alarm messages with a snap shot of what triggered the motion. Now i don't get that triggered motion anymore i get the time of the motion but no snapshot. I was receiving it as a notification not an email as well. I think i have gone through my settings 1000 times with them and installed and reinstalled the app.
i am actually getting this in place of a in door camera... want to use it as a baby monitor... the in door cams arent that good. I rather pay more for this that have a shitty camera.
One of my cameras failed in less than 6 months. I come to find out that Foscam will only stand behind their work for a lousy 30 days. This tells me that they have no faith in their own product. Don't waste your money. My system has been stripped from my building and placed directly into the trash. I'll be shopping for a different brand. Hopefully I won't get screwed again.
craig4fsu What if someone uses a 2,4Ghz signal jammer? That’s right you lose signal but if you use Ethernet you’re still recording. You can google the signal jammer you can buy them for around $300-2000 depends on what it can do and how powerful it is.

You only receive the snap shot if you have a paid subscription to their cloud service. Sounds like you received the notifications with snap shot when you were under the initial free trial maybe?

its very easy to setup for cellular access
Actually you can point it in any direction. the front will swivel and the base also. so you can point it any way you want
NICE video!, can you schedule the camera to save 24/7 for example?
Nice vid. What do if you have 4 of these cameras, how do,you choose which camera you want to view remotely. Does each one have a special password
@jim:products last just passed warranty date the good luck. they have no repair service, only apologetic emails and 48 hour response.
Hi, how did to rotate the mounting piece so you could tilt it on the right side? Thanks!
How long is the power cable?...
Can I install the SD card, while the Camera is already on the wall??
I like your reviews, thank you very much!

Where are the pictures and video files stored?

Why put it in the garage and not outside to show how to hide the cables?
