Misty in Roots play 'See Them A Come' @Electric Ballroom, Camden Town, London NW1 8QP 6/10/2024

Misty in Roots are a roots reggae band that were formed in 1975 in Southall, London, as a backing group to the singer Nicky Thomas. By 1978 Misty had their own orthodox roots sound with rastafarian lyrics, and started touring as a solo group. They were also a major force in the Rock Against Racism movement. Their first album 'Live at the Counter Eurovision 79' was recorded live in Belgium.
Vocalist Walford ("Poko") Tyson led them at the start and still does today. He and Anthony ("Tsungi") Henry (bass guitar) are the only original members left in the group. That's 49 years that the band have been in existence, some of their time having being spent abroad in Zimbabwe. Tonight's concert in London was their only live concert for 2024, postponed from the original planned date of 30th March 2024.
