I LOVE hearing the sound of the S55 with all 6 collectors going into one single turbo. It completely changed the exhaust note and finally sounds the way an in-line 6 cyl should! Nice work on the car!

@@j.p494 BMW's are famous for being cars driven by a-holes and in mantainace are money pits untill i met the N54 engine, when i heard the Supra was going to be BMW powered, at first i was like WTF, but when i saw the N54 engine's tuning potential and studied the B58 engine, that gave me a huge grin because the B58 is Big Turbo Friendly.
I love to watch cars and racing stuff. Unfortunately I have no clue how to mod a car whatsoever although I can learn. If let's say someone wanted a car that made 800 to the will about how much money would have to be spent to make the car also relative reliable? I would love to hear back . Thank you
Twin turbo just doesnt stand a chance against that single turbo 2jz note. Im glad they went to they and singled the newer model non m models. Dont have to fork out $$$$ for single conversion when i get a 335i n55 lol
stock f80 probably isnt very efficient past 7000rpm, its more of a torque monster...he says there is valve float, so they're trying to make it more stable at high rpm? thats my guess
Not running efficient at all. Cars with less power, like the 911 turbo S, will be faster. Wwherhy? It is optimizing efficiency. There is a 900 HP F80 running 9.35 sec 1/4 mile. Just like American muscle cars most think the answer is thrrowng bigger iron cubic inches, people seriously ignore the S55 weakness...midrange. The answer is not throwing gobs and gobs of big boost, but the optimizations at lower boost. ESS tuners have always followed that concept. The valve springs were the best thing you mentioned, but I would start by swapping the camshaft for an N52 intake camshaft. That should help considerably with the midrange. The fastest street legal F80 is a tall order and a serious undertaking. That is Hall of Fame type level. That will be interesting to see or behold. That will be epic & legendary! All the best.
When are we actually going to see this on the road, drag strip or street racing other cars. No post having the power if you can't put it down, or if its unreliable which it will be.
He already has videos of it being on the strip and his clutch kept slipping(got new ones later on). He can't do it RN because tracks are closed. Plus his is one of the very few S55s making this kind of power. No car with over 1000+whp is going to be reliable.
