E30 gas tank is only $170 on eBay. You can get it done in a day lol. Remove exhaust, drive shaft, remove 6-8 bolts to hold it up, disconnect hoses and with a lot of cursing and dirt/rust in your face and it'll slide right down lol

Your wasting gas that could be used in ignition for it
yea its just dumping extra gas into the exhaust and it ignites in there

But faster and more tunable than all M3's before it. If sound of a car is the reason you buy a car than you may want to shop a muscle car.
Check out the new valvetronic exhaust for them, sounds extremely diff
