Mujhe yaad hai mai jab 2000-2010 me mere gao jata tha tab log 7:30-8:00 baje tak so jaate thye.
@@Agno9776 I don't think it's because of social media only. More and more indian villages are now getting constant electric supply. It just wasn't practical to wake up in dark for late without bulbs.

Aur din itna bada lgta hai village mai without tv, internet.
Only roaming, playing, sleeping eating, working.
Its more about the sunlight. The sun is in your face early morning and its dark early so people eat dinner early and sleep early.

no suspense incidents, no brutality, no twists and turns , no heavy theme just small things and their innocence still recieved enormous love of audience thats panchayat for you... watch it with light and happy mind and you wont be disappointed
Yep very importantly no raw vulgarity and sexual content.. that's what I like the best. Pure content, acting and humour. All have so pleasant hearts even though they look tough outside.

@@govindyt301 I have seen bruh !! It was a hell of twist and gives story a total different direction but his role wasn't that much important in series so it's doesn't affect story that much otherwise it was a very unexpected turn

Indian villages don’t usually have markets, they a individual shop spread across the village, town has markets and they are little different from villages in Indian case, but still there are many public places like some points on streets where solar light can be helpful
I think, not all the villages are like this ...i also come from a panchayat area. These are rural areas, village is a broad term...Any village which is near a railway station or near a municipal area is way more developed than this village shown in the series...
Yup crossroads and 2-3 areas are definitely there.
Additionally towards the fields, there used be no lights which used be very scary. Whatever lights were installed in the fields, the wires and stuff was stolen for metal etc. almost right away.
Also, our village like many other, had a peepal ka ped which was notoriously remembered and stories passed down to the children as housing a chudail on the night of amavasya. The tree was obviously on a crossroad lol. And had a small mata ka mandir installed near it so as to neglify the tree's effect. And on top of that this small temple played a big role in every wedding(one ritual will be done there and one at the main temple) and many festivals like diwali Holi govardhan etc. for lighting a diya and other stuff.
So these depictions are very true but just the truth is even more complicated and has a lot more history ingrained.
These are just surface level stuff that I know who barely lived in my village, the amount of such stories and village gossip that is there and seldom filters down to me, just blows my mind off and becomes so hard to believe that dang how could such things happen is such a small village.
@@keshavy1189 i live in village...you are saying true. such rituals exists...stories about ghosts are not in dearth...chudail in this ber tree and that tree omg...but it was more prevalent among older people or our parents generation...has decreased significantly now
@@suvendudas5391 that's why i said usually...the no. of villages who have a railway stations or near city are less than the village shown here...usually village near railway station has market, bigger businesses, bus stops, few pvt hospitals, little bigger schools like senior secondary schools or a college if lucky etc and other nearby village people go there for shopping, for studying after 10th etc...i would describe such village as a small town
The haunted tree is Banyan tree, not willow. The tentacles looking things are roots and they grow on branches and reach all the way to the ground. We used to swing holding them in my village when we were kids.
It is the type of show where side characters are the heart beat of the show 😍

The characters and their rawness make the series so good and fresh. First season you start loving vikas as support and second season is about prahlad the other guy. Watch both seasons you'll love it
The major fun part is hidden behind the way they are pronouncing the Words out of their mouth..
Basically the Accent of rural India makes the dialogs and Characters even more funny..
So its sad for you guys that you are not able to grasp all the juice out from the series, cause u have to understand from subtitles..
I understand its not your fault..
But anyway I'm loving the fact that you are enjoying the series this much..
And I just wanted to tell you guys that it is way more funny and heart touching to each person who has seen it..

Vikash is one of the most lovable character you'll discover as you move forward in this beautiful series.
The best part of this series is honesty in everything happens in series. No over the top things dramatic. It's just everyday casual day. And everyday little problems that everyone ignores in overall society.
Pradhan is the chief of village elected by villagers every 5 years
Secretary is someone who is appointed by distric magistrate via merit base exams. It's the smallest position in gov or say lower gov officer.
The guy achara likes is also somewhat gov person peon.
It may be 1 or 2 depend upon population of village.
This is the base level gov and politics.

working in America or anywhere else or even here been from villages or humble backgrounds like this.. and had struggled so hard for basic necessities like light, study material and ofcourse finance.. but becoz of their focused hard work and determination they reach topmost places

I come from this part of the India and the interesting thing about such corruptions is that people in the village don't event realise or speak against it. It's so deep into the culture. I've seen it growing up (also, we got a govt solar light on our house back in the day that was obviously not meant for us).
I have been waiting for your review on Panchayat for so long. Finally.. this the best and most popular beautiful family series I have ever come across my whole life. Full of Innocence of village people and how they sail through all their daily problems. Still enjoying their lives with no regrets. Thank you for picking this series for review.After completing the first season please do watch the second season that's even better. However it can make you cry alot towards the ending episode though.I mean literally cry 😢 don't want to reveal the story but last episode of second season is definitely heart wrenching.

yes as we know our achara is smart and she's right like always , you're right that bhoot=ghost , bhootha = haunted , ped = tree , so Bhootha Ped is haunted tree , and i've said that in the first video how as small things like solar light here has not much of a value for an outsider , or and urban citizen but how much it matters for a village person or anyone that lives in a rural place , this show exactly shed some light on those things , the struggles which these people bear and how joyful they become when their smallest of need fulfills

This series is a continuation of early Indian television content, namely Mungerilaal ke Haseen Sapne (in which this Pradhan ji was the OG star), Neem ka Ped and such, from our early early childhood remembered most fondly.

This series is so true to its nature, I have experienced everything that showed in this series. really love this show, when I visited my grandmother's village for the first time in 20 years, everyone treated me like I was a foreigner. very sweet people on the rural side of India.

this series has got a lot of attention especially in 15-30 year age group
Its fascinating that Abhishek demanding light for his self motive is justified by everyone but not giving a thought about those 10 ward member's family and kids who are facing the same issues like him and calling them corrupted.
Not really the ward members aren't entitled to the lights because said lights can only be used at public places. Your house isn't a public place. However the panchayat office is a public space so a light there is justified.

Syntell, waiting for your philosophy master class at the end of the review. Just so you guys know, the actors playing the Village head and his wife are huge actors & have an enormous body of work behind them & bonafide theater stars. The shows works because of their subtlety. You may be laughing during the actual show but I know you change gear after the show & then unleash the deep life lesson… Syntell thinks of stuff that perhaps even the Director never thought of. Deep stuff. brother is the RUclips Aristotle… super sharp, deeply thoughtful and thinks on a different plane.m
