    thank you very much. Always wondered how different the GTS 9A1 997.2 or Powerkit version differed from the 3.8L ? Also the port injected 2.9L was quite unique.

    Years after these videos were produced, I am still learning a great depth of knowledge.
    It seems like there is not a great compendium where most of this information can be found.

    A complete Porsche newbie question: So with all the similarities, can you take the 997.2 engine and put it into the 987.2 using the correct combination of intakes etc or does the location of the oil filter prohibit this?

    Hello garagetech so I took out my 987.1 engine and had it rebuilt to a 3.8 from 3.4. I had steel sleeves installed with a 102mm piston bore size. Do you think I can take the cams off a 3.8 and install them on my 987.1 engine to be able to get the open size that the 3.8 has… please let me know
