when i first saw the sketch when you mentioned "raised by gators" and (even though its sharks not gators) i immediately thought he looked like shark boy (from the adventures of shark boy and lava girl) in a good way, lol amazing art, glad to see mermay is back !! :3
This one is another redraw right ? I think I like this one a bit better , I like the texture on the hair and I like the scars you gave him and the body proportion seems more.. proportionate. I feel like maybe the corset could be shrunken just a tad but overall I still really like this one ( I feel like you also shrunken those straps , - I don't know how to call them - that are coming from his shoulders and that really helped with the proportion) and the coloring came out really good on this too. Das he have a sheath for his sword/ dagger-sickle ?
Will any of these guys meet humans? Or is this purely mermaid guys? I love mermay but i haven’t heard any human lore in the background at least from what I’ve watched so feel free to correct me 👍🏽
