Beautiful women from a wonderful era. They knew how to perform. They had elegance. They were magic they were special amazing. Such a shame that a lot of their movies were not taken better care of. That fire as well when the area where the silent movies were kept burned down.
Oh my...I never heard this song for such a long time. I think I was in my elementary grade when I heard this song for the first time. It was so popular that time and keep hearing to the radio.
Nice tribute you created with a perfect background song for me to enjoy. I love it.
Esos fueron los días los Rockin devils. También yo la cante en la primaria pero aca en México y en español.
Saludos.
When I was in college this was one of my favorite songs---it brings back memories--of old loves. Thank you
Exhilarating pictures and music! The match is just wonderful! I was carried away back to my older days too, very nostalgic yet beautiful. Tks so much Ellen!
I used to hear this song on the radio during my younger days myself. When I heard it again recently, I thought of the silent movie stars. Thank you for your thoughtful remarks.

Shabannie
Hello, Ellen, long time no see! How are you? I hope you're doing fine!
I took a break from RUclips for awhile. I have had a lot of problems. but I think that I am starting to do better now.
Shabannie
Cool! I wish you a nice Midweek! Kisses!
I just happened to see your old note here. I hope that you are doing well.
------Ellen
Great video with great pictures, and especially music, this song brings back great memories.
' THEY HAD FACES THEN ' Norma Desmond , Sunset Boulevard !!
Yes, Norma was a witty woman. Thank you for watching.
Lovely Stars
I'm 66years old and I am forever grateful that I had the pleasure of meeting some of ladies of the silent screen. Billie Dove, Mary Astor, Dolores del Rio and Blanch Sweet and others. I feel at times that they are forgotten. Gee, I hope not. Today's Hollywood, stars included really make me sick. Too the many who continue to embrace the silent films I say to you, Gee your swell. 🙂Yours truly, Anthony
You to be a genuine beauty like all these women. Special lighting, cosmetic surgery and technical adjustments didn’t exist.
Back again for this wonderful Treat. Thanks.
+dick12235 I just happened to see your note here when I was watching the video again. Come visit one of my videos!
-----Ellen
Sybil Seely is my favorite Buster Keaton leading lady. She is especially wonderful in Buster`s classic short,One Week.Watch it here on RUclips, you`ll be glad that you did!
Thank you for that information. Even though I make these tribute videos, sometimes I do not know that much about some of the movies. I made a video about Buster Keaton, FYI.
These were the actresses of my father's (b. in 1908) "days gone by," as he would say. I remember him mentioning actresses associated with Valentino (such as Agnes Ayres, Vilma Banky, and Pola Negri)... Of the silents that I've viewed, Clara Bow and Louise Brooks are favorites, but Dorothy Janis is the most natural beauty of this era (in my humble opinion,,,)!
beautiful tribute, thank you very much for uploading this video! really liked the pictures! :) xx
These were indeed the days. Love all the silent era girls presented here, but i need to say that i've always had a crush on Lupe. And i always will.
Lovely video!
Yes, I used to hear this song a lot on the radio too. Thank you for your thoughtful remarks.
All lovely actresses best of the best.
I think so too. Thank you for viewing the video.

What a great tribute! Thank you for sharing. So many talents lost forever and some gone so tragically and so young.
Thank you for watching my video. Hopefully most of these lovely ladies had good lives. It just does not last forever. When I heard this song, I thought of my silent movie star friends.

THIS IS ONE GREAT SONG THAT THE BEATLES WROTE FOR MARY HOPKINS.
Yes, I remember that it was on Apple Records. It sounds like a song that a group of people would sing in a pub to me. I was just thinking that people usually do not sing together in a pub in Texas. Thank you for watching the video.
