My wife and I personally don't care for the intro music at all this season. What always has been our favorite, was the first season- such a catchy tune, and always made us think of the good video to follow. Sort of like when they find just the right intro music for any show-- like the old Lone Ranger series, when that William Tell Overture started playing, I felt joy all over. The newest one, we actually turn clear down-- it almost like an assault on our senses, and doesn't give us the "sit back and relax feeling, while we enjoy the show. When you have something that is working well and not broken-- don't mess with it.
Your theme songs are one of my favorite parts of your entire channel. Your first one was my favorite, even after you changed it. Took me a couple of seasons to cotton on to the new one. Your third one was a nice change. But this season 7 theme song is the best so far. I actually start rocking out to it and want to hear a whole song! It ends too soon! And you know even rockers are getting older when they put "be safe" in a song. 😂But then we get to watch the episode and it's all good. 🙂 Faithful fan from California.
Wish I could wait and binge watch this whole season at once but everytime a new episode comes out I have to grab something good to eat and make a cup of coffee and enjoy the show, no waiting for me
The shockingly beautiful countryside that you are able to capture so well keeps me watching your videos over and over. Such beauty in a time of world chaos soothes my soul. Thank you Kevin!
I love looking at people's backyards. Some are calm and very lovely and others filled with gnomes, benches and junk!! Here on Vancouver Island we have the Old Country Market which has a grass roof...and goats!!! Always try not to stand under the dripping bit.LOL
As a businessman myself, I'm always mystified by business owners who refuse permission to film in their establishment. "Free publicity? No, no, no, we don't go for that sort of thing around here.". And in the middle of a pandemic when the could probably use the help, no less.
Agreed Paul. In fact it's very common to be declined or receive no reply. Had the same experience with my photography and blogging before - I think the concern is that they'll be presented in a bad light. Of course terrorism/pedophilia/health and safety/personal and national security often come into the mix. I shudder to imagine how many potentially great creative works have been snuffed out because of it. A crying shame but what can you do? 🤔
Looking good Kevin! I as always enjoy the sound of Aslan chugging along. So are you going to compile a collection of canal photos to publish in some form? Love the bridge @5:17. Beautiful!
I know that I'm a few months behind but with this horrible January weather I had to watch something to cheer me up and then I saw You and your lovely boat on Utube Yeah I shrieked its Kevin or CHG. Nice one Kevin Nice one Son.
Woodplumpton Aqueduct. I just love the names of your waterways, streets and homes. They are so clever and often with a sense of humor. Somehow we lost that here in the States. I so enjoy this about you British. I hope to come visit your lovely county some day. Maybe I'll even get to ride on a narrow boat.
Love your snap shots! High Definition and situation is spectacular. Oh, to see it all first hand. So lovely. Thankfully I can view from the comfort of my own home. Thank you for sharing! From Florida.😍
Believe he said on his FB page Prime won't be picking it up this season...so sad...on youtube though if he inserted 3 adverts into his 30min videos via creator studio I'm pretty sure he would get more 💰 to fund his travels..keep on chuggin...
My husband and I love the video Kevin! We get comfy in our recliners and enjoy watching your latest canal adventure. We live vicariously through you lol. We are enjoying watching the series on Amazon Prime for the 4th time. We never tire of watching your videos. Great theme tune this season! We love it! Thankfully, your hip seems to be better. We love the camera pics too. They look so nice. I wish you had CDs of your music for sale. We’d buy one. Take care. 🍁🧡🍂
Nice one Kevin. Loved the editing, especially that clever bit at Bilsborw services when you took the shot of leaving!😃 so glad you got your camera back 😆Joan
Great video, lots of beautiful scenery felt like I was with you ,love the sound of your beautiful vintage engine love it enjoy all your videos always looking out for them ,take care keep safe, John 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃😁😁😁😁✅✅✅
Excellent video really enjoyed watching it pity the 15 miles kendal was lost I was born there but now live in the north east will be buying a narrow boat next year 2022 and definitely be looking along that stretch of the Lancashire canal ☺👍
Absolutely love these videos, it's a great way to see our beautiful country and something we're going to do, thanks Kev! Oh and should you ever want to go look for those idiot's from New Years eve? Give us a shout mate 👍
"POWEEEERRR!!!" I can just imagine a certain 3 lads doing a narrowboat special, and it ending up in tears, fire, endless complaining, and lots of near drowning one another.
Nice video Kevin as always. We were on the Lancaster last October. Lovely canal but mooring was often a bit of an issue. Those shallow shelves next to the bank meant the.barge pole came into regular use .Gars tang was great and coming from Lancashire Boothes was a favourite.
wow those are the first power poles Ive seen in England oops you might be in Wales. Wish power lines on this side of the pond were under ground. Lovely indeed
Hi Larry. Yes, definitely in England. I'm quite a fan of pylons. Immense skeletal structures, like huge lumbering beasts - though they do tend to stand out rather a lot. ☺
Hi watched all your video's,impressed and also jealous in a way.I live near Tewitfield and when i buy a boat i will be starting my journey from there.Take care might see you one day on the canal.
Cheers Kevin! Have watched every episode! Even though you are a brilliant photographer, I am finding the “snapshots” in this episode to be disruptive and it is not flowing like the past episodes. Just my 2 cents - cannot wait for Amazon to put the whole season up!
Hey brother me and my mother love watching your channel but can you please show more of your cooking it’s amazing and we would like a tour of your boat
Thanks Kevin for another great vlog mate and those snap shot pictures are brilliant additions. Just saying but I think you may find that there are more grp river cruisers than even on the Thames. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Great vlog Kevin. Great to see you back. The photos are wonderful - can you do a vlog about using the camera. I always wanted one back in the day but I know focusing is an art in itself.
What is the base or mount fixed on the sliding top cover over your rear doors (not sure what it is called!) as shown at 10:53. Thanks very much for another video.
Very enjoyable watch as ever, I’ve been looking out for this for the last few days... shame owd nells filming didn’t come off, they are missing a trick... Got to agree with the Booths thing, very posh food and particularly good pies and such like. Hers to next time 😀
Yes power lines buzz. First time I heard it was when my brother in law took me deer hunting maybe 18 years ago. He knew where a herd of deer were bedding down for the night so because regulations say you cannot hunt except during daylight. We were laying down on a ridge between us and the deer waiting for dawn. Directly above us were over head powerlines and hey were crackling and humming. You could just see corona discharge from them I remember at the time it made me feel uncomfortable.
Hi Erin. For me, I've always had a mechanical and engineering based 'mind', so for me the basic operations of the boat came fairly naturally (no bragging intended).
Hi Kev, hope all is good bud. I've pm'd you regarding a question about an old camera youd be interested in so I wondered if youd have a look. Take care matey
Hi Gary, yes got your voice mail. Thanks for the offer but sorry, I'm no expert and I wouldn't have the first idea of how much old lenses would be worth. Hope you are keeping well, Kevin. ☺
Considering the amount of reed narrowing the canal, not cleared and kept in place by order of Natural England one needs to ask is it a navigation or a linear wetland reserve?
another exceptionally well-photographed chapter!! continue to look forward to the Amazon show...are the moorings as shown your using near Bilsborrow free? just wondering...
I've grown quite keen of the knock and thump sound Aslan makes... and also, just curious as to if I'm watching your vid now, how long ago and over how long a period of days did you film the cruising, then production time of the vid until posting?
Another dream episode. Best 20 minutes of my day, for sure.
Very much appreciated Jason. ☺
Didn't realize just how much I've missed this lovely series during this Age of COVID.
Really like the new musical introduction.
Thank you Tom. ☺

Tom Williams - so do I, and I keep meanning to say it, so thanks for saying it first!

Good to hear Aslan
Loving your videos a second time around, still as enjoyable as the first 😊time
Thank you so much Julie. 🙂
Diggin the new theme song boss!!!
Love the new intro! Always a good day when there is a new CHG video😊
Me and my mum have gotten addicted to your channel watching you live your life. Sending you love and prayers from California.

Once again a beautiful trip with you, Kevin, thank you for taking us along!
I am totally in love with Aslan’s engine. I loved the episode about it. 💕
Highlight of my day. And since Prime is dragging there feet, will probably rewatch from season 1.
Stay safe.
Very nice ride along, really soothing from a not so tranquil London. Thanks, Kevin that has done me a world of good.
Happy to provide some much appreciated relief Stephen, thank you.
Really enjoying the addition of the still photos interspersed in the video Kevin. Nice work.
How very pretty ... I love the Lancaster area.
I find great entertainment in your videos, commentary and humour. Please keep it up, good luck and all the best
Pleased to hear that Chris, thank you. Have a nice Xmas.
Super vlog,. I agree with you, a boat is a boat, let’s all enjoy the wonderful inland waterways.

That's a real shame Justin. No originality there.
Amazing photos Sir, nice work!
Thank you

LOVE your videos!!!!
Thank you Doris ☺
Oh WOW! So happy to see another episode!! Greetings from 2 of your fans in Oregon USA.
Love your trips on Aslan, keep up the great work and stay safe!
That was a well earned pint at the end of the Lancaster canal.......very enjoyable vlog Kevin......stay safe........thanks for sharing
Thanks Ian. Yes, it definitely hit the spot. ☺

Ahhh ! A proper run on your coil for the mooring line👍
Great Episode!
So glad you can move about again.

They are beautiful shots!
Love the photos! So glad to see you chugging along again.
Kevin, what's up with prime? I always buy the seasons and I haven't a showing of your 7th yet. Embrace the chug!

another nice one gent.liked your journey and of course your aslan ditty. I can see you love your life on the cannals
Thank you Derek. Wouldn't buy bricks and mortar again for sure. ☺
Your snaps are going to be a great record of this time. Love the garden one full of 'stuff'.
Love the snappy still camera shots! Always creative and beautiful. Look forward to each and every episode. Cheers from Wisconsin!

Good morning and well wishes from South Dakota!

Great video as always
Love watching them
Nice one Kevin. Loved the editing, especially that clever bit at Bilsborw services when you took the shot of leaving!😃 so glad you got your camera back 😆Joan
Ha yes Joan - it costs me a fortune in cameras. 😁
Another fine video, ty sir
Love your tune at beginning of episodes. Quirky and catchy little ditty.

We need an Aslan engine chug ASMR channel
Another great video! Glad to see another “cruise” with Aslan. Keep em coming, haven’t seen anything on Prime but casting to the TV works fine for us.
Great vlog CHG , keep up the good work. That beer looks good.
Asian has a great sounding engine! Is it just me or does the Lancaster Canal have a lot more fiberglass powerboats than ‘true’ Narrowboats on it?
very nice vlog
What is the song in your intro? Really enjoy your videos from Pennsylvania USA. I'll have a pint with you.
Well I call it "Aslan, she go boom, boom, boom." ☺
@@CountryHouseGent Did you make that or did someone record it? It's a catchy song.I like it.
Yep, all by my own fair hands, cheers. 😊
Lovely, taken my tea time w/ you.
Yogurt pots you said, classic😂😂.

They are like Guitar Strings that Vibrate with the Wind and Electricity.

@@CountryHouseGent wow thank you for the reply! I feel like I just talked to a movie star! Much love from California!
I really dig your music by the way, I’m a guitarist
I hear your boat a-chuggin'
onward past the downs
receding from those pesky
governmental clowns.
:D
Thanks Kevin for another great vlog mate and those snap shot pictures are brilliant additions. Just saying but I think you may find that there are more grp river cruisers than even on the Thames. Take care and all the best. Stevie

Yes I would enjoy demonstrating the camera very much Kevin. ☺
It really is good to see you back on top form Kevin
What is the base or mount fixed on the sliding top cover over your rear doors (not sure what it is called!) as shown at 10:53. Thanks very much for another video.
It's for mounting a vintage hand operated klaxon horn, that I keep in the boat and bring out on special occasions.
Very enjoyable watch as ever, I’ve been looking out for this for the last few days... shame owd nells filming didn’t come off, they are missing a trick... Got to agree with the Booths thing, very posh food and particularly good pies and such like. Hers to next time 😀
hey CHG, I sent you a message through your Wordpress blog, I hope it went thru... thanks for this new installment!
'Ramble on.' Led Zeppelin reference, then, Kevin!
Definitely, love me some Zep. Ramble On was played a lot during my early days of preparing to live afloat. Rang a very clear bell. 🙂
That wasn't the Lake District, but the Forest of Bowland hills.
😁 Geography was never my strong suit.
LOL should have waited to ask that question about the plastic pigs.
I'll let you off David (this time) ☺️ 🤭😎
Seeing the smoke coming from Aslan's stack, I was wondering how often you need to add engine oil to her and how much? Thanks,
3mph the stuff of dreams 🤪🤪🤪
I don’t like the plastic baths on canals. Should be on tidal rivers only.
Boom boom boom.
Loved it.

The engine sounds great
In the US we sailors call them Clorox-bottle boats.
Yes was a new one on me.
You are very handsome to me Kevin, even with covid hair! 😁 😘
Hi my wife and I love your run up the lanky where is part 3 ? Please please we can't wait much longer were hanging on. Chris and Tone.
Steady. ☺ Part Two only went live today. 😊
@@CountryHouseGent Sorry we love the lanky hire boats from Barton great hols yearly, Didnt mean to rush you.
No worries Tony. Means a lot to know there's many out there chomping at the bit. Keeps me 'nose to the grindstone'. 😊
Its we both love your channel please keep safe.
A little additional information: the hills seen are the fells of The Forest of Bowland; The Lake District fells lie farther north.
Thank you Gavin. Geography was never my strong suit. 🤭
@@CountryHouseGent You are welcome, I just happen to know the area.
How did you learn to operate a narrow boat? There are so many details.
Hi Erin. For me, I've always had a mechanical and engineering based 'mind', so for me the basic operations of the boat came fairly naturally (no bragging intended).
Having to use the barge pool seemed to go pretty well?? I was wondering....how many windows does Aslan have??
Hi Kev, hope all is good bud. I've pm'd you regarding a question about an old camera youd be interested in so I wondered if youd have a look. Take care matey

Considering the amount of reed narrowing the canal, not cleared and kept in place by order of Natural England one needs to ask is it a navigation or a linear wetland reserve?
Yes it does get tricky in place and I think the canals are now regarded as leisure and a nature reserve.
The still shot of Aslan going under arch bridge with ivy growing down the side is a show stopper print
another exceptionally well-photographed chapter!! continue to look forward to the Amazon show...are the moorings as shown your using near Bilsborrow free? just wondering...
Thanks Larry. Yes all visitor moorings on the Lancaster (and all canals) are free.
@@CountryHouseGent thanks for the information -- until watching your program I knew nothing about the canals in Britain, even their existence...
I have a vlog suggestion... Mooring up. I've seen rings/chains and bollards used. Line handling?
I've grown quite keen of the knock and thump sound Aslan makes... and also, just curious as to if I'm watching your vid now, how long ago and over how long a period of days did you film the cruising, then production time of the vid until posting?
Aslans personal fave song is Slow Ride by Foghat .
I was thinking Low Rider by War. Having read your comment I think War could pair nicely?
What is the film you are using? Oh, and where are all the people who walk along the canal?
