I try! I just use an Amazon micro fiber towel and wipe everything down when I’m done a project. I am a little worried about rust though. Sometimes I go a couple weeks without using my tools.
My son and I make them with magnets and ends. They are modular, just like tool widgets with magnets, and don't fall apart. We charge .75 with magnets and .50 without per piece. They work for screw drivers, extensions and much more.
Man they are just too overpriced right now , would love to do that . Probably cost you 400 in widgets lol. Love the toolbox btw . Just ordered the same in white 🤘🏻
The widgets were way more than $400 lol. I wish that’s all I’d spent on them. I think I’ve got closer to $1200 in widgets. And that’s buying them on sale over the last year.
Not sure what you mean. “Cut their teeth” is a common expression meaning “started with” I know you can add labels but I don’t see the point personally.
@NewbYorker I too have the 56" US General box as well top * bottom both in black. But looking at your blue one on video, looks like a 72" You tool lay out is awesome, absolutely love it
I been a automotive technician for years I like the concept but you really don’t save any room and don’t see the size of the socket like you would on a traditional socket tray there cool but I’ll never buy any in my opinion there trying to solve a problem when there isn’t one I get where there for some people but they ain’t for me you got parking lot job or something where need more than one socket you just grab the whole set like you can with a socket tray but idk I’m old school
That socket drawer had half those sockets in OEM packaging and it took up that entire drawer. Plus, I couldn’t arrange them the way I wanted. The Toolbox Widgets did their job. I have a small portable set that I rarely use. Most of the time…I move whatever I need to work on…into my shop. It’s just easier.
Love the box! Is that a 56 inch? I have the 44 inch us general in blue top and bottom chest and I love it! Check out my toolbox tour. Like and comment. Have a nice day sir.
I have had a very different experience. I’ve tried 3D printed ones. These are not 3D printed. I found the quality to be excellent. I just think they’re a touch on the expensive side.
That's a nice box setup. You're keeping those tools super clean.

@@DemoDad101 I clean my tools with WD40. The grips are always clean and obv no rust.
Not a bad idea.
Good video. That US General in blue looks great.
It’s my favorite color. I thought the box also looked great in yellow and white.

Where can we check them out/purchase?
I’d love to take a look at them and compare them to the Toolbox Widget!
I'd be interested as well
For wide handles that you can’t stand vertical I use one wrap velcro around the handle to hold them closed.
That’s a decent idea!
Westling Machine 👍🏻
Those are also really nice. Still a bit of sticker shock with them and they are not as customizable.
I’ve been fixing cars ,trucks, forklifts and multiple toys for 47 yrs and I’ve never had that many sockets in my life !!
It’s not that many. It’s simply a set of 1/2 3/8 and 1/4 in chrome and impact. Couple older sets of Craftsman mixed in there.
Me to
Which ones are you using for the Ratchet Wrenchs?
I primarily use Icon and Milwaukee ratcheting wrenches. Those are all stored with toolbox wrench organizer widgets. I hope that answers your question.
Sickkkkk
Thanks!

the ones that look like they "cut the teeth" are for the labels add-on you can get for the wrenches

When Harbor Freight copies this, RIP Widget.
Very true.
Question, is that the 56" tool chest
Yes it is.

Flip those chisels around get the sharp edge pointing to the edge of the drawer might be safer
That’s a great idea. Thank you!
They are nice but yes,way too expensive for a diy guy like myself but and every day mechanic, I can see them getting them
I’m a DIY sorta guy and I like them. Although…it’s crazy that I have as much in them as I do the entire top and bottom toolbox lol.

@@DemoDad101 you do you bud you can organize your tools however you want
@@jacobstacy588He did organize them the he wanted bud. That's why he made a video about it.

This is the 56”
If you would rather loose snap on tools regularly then these are not as expensive as they seem to be
Well said!
I got them. Value is meh and the quality is pretty shit. Good idea though.
