  • I decided to trade in my WBSP at a local dealer and pursue getting what has been my dream car for the past decade! Used car market prices have been ridiculous this year allowing me to make money on my nearly new vehicle after owning it for a year. The market for a 2019 WBSP hovers at about 47kish mind you I bought it at 37k, so driving it for a year and not losing a penny is a win IMO. Could I have possibly gotten a little more, sure, but my time is limited and would rather not wait months on people wasting time and lowballing so I took a check for practically 44k and walked. Loved every minute and i'll definitely be back, but in a hellcat. Now to enjoy what I consider to be my actual dream car!

No disrespect but trading the widebody for a GTR is a step down.

Yeah I could've gotten a little more but I'm not sweating it. I did search on cargurus and browsed a lot before taking the offer. For a 2019 they averaged about 47kish as a good deal. Dealer has to make their cut so 44-45k is what I was expecting for a trade in. Car is two years old with me being the second owner which does impact pricing compared to 50k+ that 2020's go for. Also, harder to sell private party because a lot of people look toward financing from a dealer.

I was just offered 42 thousand for my narrow body charger you definitely could’ve got over 50 for yours easily

Maybe, then again I had it listed for 46k for 2-3 months on Craigslist and Cargurus with no serious buyers only dealers offering 43k and some lowballers who wasted time. A lot of people asking 50k on the high end but very few people actually willing to pay that, at least private party. I didn't want to wait 6 months to possibly squeeze another 3k at most so it is what it is.
