Yes, super good. Driving at 62 mph max certainly helped a lot. Considering a higher speed return leg due to the other comment. I will have to determine if I can afford the extra fuel!
On my 07 yota fj cruiser that has a Magnuson supercharger 6inch sitting on Mickey Thompson mtz 35x12.50x18 with 6 speed manual, I can't barely do 200 miles a tank but I have no regret because of the way it is built for overlanding trips plus rooftop tent
That sounds like an awesome setup. You can always carry spare fuel if necessary but nothing makes up for pure performance and function for overlanding.
A lot! The amount of extra energy required to push through the air is 46% when going 75 vs 62 mph. I will scratch my head and consider doing 75ish on the trip back and see if I can afford the extra fuel on the trip back. Stay tuned!
Stock with nothing but a carry-on bag in back and driving miss Daisey you should get 21MPG's! 3" Lift will take 1.5 MPGs and 285's will take another 1.5 MPGs. Roof top tent will take another mpg
Almost 22MPG and a head wind for part of the trip is pretty impressive. I'll take that.

I wonder what kind of mpg hit happens if you go 75.

Absolutely! It had stock tires/wheels but did have a lift. Miss Daisey was happy about the slow drive, though!
Not impressed...
Just wait until you see the gas mileage in my upcoming video where I travel between 70-80 mph! Video coming soon.
