Hi, I have a 3quarter image that I'm gonna consider it as reference and build a 3D model out of it, how can I insert that image in CATIA v5 background, I want it to be always parallel to my screen and not be affected by manipulating my developing 3D model. may suggest a way? Thanks so much.
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Hi, the difference is that in the shown method in this video when you manipulate and rotate your 3D model the sketches rotate too, I want my image be stationary, I want it to be not rotatable so I Rotate my model and compare it relative to my 3Quarter perspective image. I have seen what I mean in Alias and I think there must be a way to do this in CATIA.
Hello Sir, i follow your videos ..please help to fix this problem, I'm trying to get Sketch Tracer to work for me, but when I import my reference images ("Paintings"), they don't show up in the cylindrical view, or are horribly skewed and zoomed in. I have the material view selected, so it's not that. If I choose Conical, the images show up, but all the tutorials say to use cylindrical. I have view mode in shading with material. Please help me to solve this issue. For this I searched throughout the internet and read the articles but not found any solution.
You have preparate the field , using by thats images go make a car in class A surfaces or ICEM :)

otherwise I have to switch between my CATIA an my windows photo viewer which is bothering.
Ok, I see. But sadly I´m not aware of any option which allows you to exchange the background.

Sir, why you have entered negative value for Right view image & positive value for Top view image?
Just try it the other way round and you will see ;)

I didn't get why CATIA changes the dimensions when we try to insert both width and height. Wouldn't that cause errors later in dimensions?
obviously it saves the width to height ratio by doing this

What kind of picture do you want to use?
i have download from google , it is in jpg
Select at 3:02 in the dialog box the right car view - not the one which is in perspective
