Found a pair of these w AG plates at the Nike Clearance store for $99 USD. I was nervous they’d be too narrow but I was able to wear them without problems out the box.

I play some games on AG and some games on FG. I really want to buy the new mercurials since they are wider. I had the puma ultra 1.4 and they were amazing and I had no problem with them on AG. I was wondering if the risk of injury for using the vapor 16s FG soleplate on AG is too high. If yes, what boots do you recommend that have an FG soleplate that are safe to use on AG?
iI have pretty much the same exact foot shape as you and whenever you say a boot has no space on the outer sides I get the same sensation the boots so whenever you recommend a pair I trust your choice. Since I was never ever able to fit the the mercs and you just reviewed the new ones would you recommend them or the phantom gx2 since I already know those fit my foot shape? How are they different?
It's just advice. Also personal preference. There's a higher percentage of you hurting yourself wearing FG on AG, but it's not a crazy difference. The actual numbers vary between 10-18% if I can recall. I don't remember the website that had "research". Everybody is different, so like Noah has said, up to you if you think you can handle the load in your ankles, knees, joints, etc.. the quality of your playing surfaces can help you decide if you can use certain boots too.
Plenty of people, amateur and professional, use FG cleats on AG. If you can't decide, just try AG then. I personally wear rounded studs on all ag. Copa mundials and Adler yatagarashu

Nah, grass gives a softness that an AG won't, the chevron studs are tried and tested on grass, just don't put yourself at risk at all using on the wrong surface

Almost zero water retention on the Vapor. F50 is completely waterproof as it's a synthetic, as are Vapor 15
