Awesome! The whole area is beautiful. I am sure we missed a few things but this should help get you started. We were only there for 3 nights. Hopefully the Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens will be open next year. They were refurbishing it when we visited. It looked like an interesting place to check out. Also a place worth visiting is called Donnie’s Donuts. They make some of the best Donuts. Thanks for watching and enjoy your trip!
So I just moved to Ormond beach and I’m looking for something to do with my 11 year old something not touristy that’s not crazy expensive any new ideas?
Do you like nature and being outside? If so, check out Bulow creek state park and Tomoka State Park. There is also Dunlawton Sugar Mill Gardens in that area. There are lots of beaches to check out. They might enjoy Daytona Lagoon. Look on the website for prices for different things or a fun pass for the year. In Daytona, there is an old chocolate factory named Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory that has free tours, and there is a magic shop right down the street from there. The first Tuesday of every month, the Museum of Arts & Sciences, including the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, offers free admission (planetarium shows not included) to Volusia County residents with proof of residency, such as a driver's license, library card, or utility bill. If you travel out further, there is always DeLand, New Smyrna, and St Augustine. There are fishing piers in St Augustine and Daytona Beach. Oh there is the Daytona Flea Market and Buc-ee's gas station. I hope this helps you find something. Best thing to do is type free and cheap things to do in (city) . 🙂
In the chocolate factory you guys are still wearing those useless cloth masks, but even the lady selling you food isn't. A clue that the whole mask thing was a joke!
Lol now I know I have told you this before, this video was filmed in Sept 2021. It was required by a lot of businesses to wear a mask. We don't wear them now. There were signs on the door that you needed a mask to enter almost everywhere we went. We travel a bunch and never caught covid including Disney world on Christmas. It was packed. We haven't worn a mask in like 2 years because they are not required anymore. Have a great day! 🙂
I really enjoyed your video. I will be traveling to Ormond beach in Marc 2022. You just gave me some ideas of great places to visit.
