Tell me you’re Norwegian without telling me you’re Norwegian. Seriously, though: why do so many of us have trouble getting "is/are" right? I used to think it was something only our parents and grandparents got wrong, but I’m in my 40s now and I see kids doing it to this day. And I’m not trying to throw shade to you, @petteronella4184 - my impression is that like 40% of us make this mistake regularly. I’m genuinely curious as to why this is, because we are all of us taught English in school from the age of 9 or 10.
You probably know some of our celebrities like the band a-ha, the famous painting Scream by Edvard Munch, the chess world champion Magnus Carlsen, Arsenal midfielder Martin Ødegaard, and when they where on Edvard Grieg the piece that was playing in the background you have most likely heard of, called Morning Mood
The DJ Alan Walker is Norwegian. He was born in Northampton England on August 24th 1997 to a Anglo-Scottish British father, and a Norwegian mother. He grew up with two siblings and at the age of two, he and his family moved to Bergen, Norway. Alan Walker have dual citizenship from both the United Kingdom and Norway.
You seriously dont know about Magnus Carlsen, a-ha, aurora, Sigrid, Ole Gunnar solskjær, Haaland, Martin Ødegaard.. Liv Ullmann.. Victor Hovland, casper Ruud, Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Carsten warholm.. I could go on. But some of these should ring a bell...Kygo?
You have to check out up and coming singer/songwriter Angelina Jordan Astar who just turned 18 years old in January and has been singing in public since she was 7. She won Norway's Got Talent at age 8 and has been singing in several events throughout the years. Just to mention a few she was invited by fellow countryman DJ and celebrity Alan Walker to perform at his homecoming show back in 2014, she was invited by Quincy Jones to sing at his 80th birthday concert at the O2 Arena and recently she sang at the Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony honouring Narges Mohammadi. On the 29th of February she gave two amazing concerts at the Las Vegas Westgate Resort & Casino. There are several RUclips videos of her performances, both covers and original songs that will literally win your heart forever 🥰
They didnt choose maby one of the most famous world wide in Magnus Carlsen chess player hmm. And u have the golfer Victor Hovland and tennis player Casper Ruud, and runner Jacob Ingebrigtsen and 400m hurdles Karsten Warholm
You got to feel bad for Aurora, as she have many fans among the people that do the Disney movies. They really wanted more of her songs in Frozen 1 and 2 - but there simply weren´t room for it to keep the right tempo of the movies going. Instead she is the voice Elsa hear in Frozen 2. Frozen 3 then ?
Generally, many germanic people used to have red hair. Not so many today as back then after all the migration pherhaps , but still pretty many here in Norway. You should know Haaland, he is in your newspapers all the time 😀 Munch, it is guaranteed you have seen the "scream" painting.
I am a bit shocked that a British guy knows nothing about Norway. We are almost neighbours and have a tight bond. Our royalty is family. Our King was Queen Elisabeth’s second cousin. You started by saying you dont know anythingabout Norway… Hm, about time you learn something about the countries around you 😏 You havent heard about the musicians Alan Walker and Kygo? Sigrid was named BBC Music Sound of 2018 (the youngest since Adele) and has had several hits in the UK. A-ha lived in the UK and they were huge in the 80-90’s («Take on me»). A lot of the worlds best sports athletes… Celebrity #2 The masks from the Scream movies was inspired by his painting «Scream» (Skrik) a world famous painting.
Alan Walker? Kygo? I do live closer to Norway than Dwayne, but have never heard of them... I do know about A-ha, Frida, Jahn Teigen and Petter Dass, but it might be more of a generational thing rather than geography. Sigrid? Undset?
@@SteamboatWIt could be a generational thing indeed. Kygo and Alan Walker are MASSIVE music artists internationally. Alan Walker is probably the most famous EDM artist ever by a very large margin! You might not have heard his name, but you have definitely heard his music! It’s everywhere. I suggest you search up Alan Walker - Faded, and I bet it will sound familiar to you! Also, you might have heard about Ylvis, a Norwegian comedy duo that is also very famous internationally. If you’ve not heard of them, you’ve definitely heard of their biggest hit «What Does The Fox Say», which I can understand how some might find annoying, especially as the song was literally everywhere a few years ago! But they also have a ton more content ranging from pranks to music, most of which is A LOT more mature content that is absolutely hilarious! I would for example reccomend you check out their song «The Cabin» for a general idea of what their humor is like.

Sonia Heine?
As a Norwegian redhead, there's quite a few of us. Being a redhead isn't that uncommon, but it's still probably the rarest hair color here.

red hair, blonde hair and also green eyes and blue eyes did come from scandinavia, from the Vikings. :P
