I want to thank Chad, Jolene and their crew for a truly great year of entertainment. If 2022 is half as good as 2021 it would be a wonderful thing. I don't think that Chad & Jolene truly realize how much their subscribers appreciated their near daily videos, especially during the trials and tribulations of Covid. Their videos are always informative and provided a unique and personal look at automotive customization. Thank you again and best wishes for 2022.

Here in New Zealand, we use gunk which is Jeys Fluid mixed 50/50 with Kerosene and brush it on leave for 15 mins and wash off with water then air to dry the engine afterwards. It removes vast amounts of grease and contentment,

Chad I love your work and creativity. It is plain to see you enjoy this artistic approach to revisiting vintage automobile design. You may consider using bed blasting crushed walnut shells to remove rust, dirt , and grime before painting engine. Crushed walnut shells are cheap, non destructive. They will polish as well as clean and are easy to dispose. Great show ,keep the faith Bro!

Looking good. I have used Oven Cleaner on a old '65 inline 6. Took off years of oil, grease and crud off. Worked very well, too well at times. I did a second round and it started removing some of the old paint.
One word of advice is either work in a well ventilated area or wear a mask (pretty nasty on the lungs.) I would use a set of latex gloves because this stuff is kind of corrosive. As a mechanic I didn't always care about stuff like that . "PLEASE " use a face shield when you are using your die grinder. Your glasses don't appear to have any protection on the side of your eye/ face. Those filings travel faster than you can blink.

Might be a good idea to change out the knock sensors while the intake is off. On these they tend to act up, so might as well change em while everything is off.

I don't comment much on videos I watch but I just wanted to say that it's really cool that you upload videos of basically a raw 2 hours working with you every day. Its inspiring because it's unedited and that you gave struggles in your shop just like the average Joe. Im working on my first hot rod by myself right now and I'm learning a lot about how to approach a project. Thanks again man! I'm gonna keep watching for sure

The old formula “easy off” would clean just about anything. I haven’t seen that stuff for probably 40 years. Most aggressive solvents and paint remover‘s are no longer available due to the health risks associated with them. The original old carb cleaner was the best. You could buy it in gallon cans or 5 gallon. It’s also no longer available

I would advise you to change out your knock sensors chad before you put the engine back together I had to replace mine and had to take the whole intake off to replace them and put some silicone around the plastic covers so water don’t get in and on the back of the manifold there is a piece of foam remove that because it tends to hold water in the back of the engine and water is what makes the knock sensors go bad

Hey Chad I'm a big fan and have built a 500 hp 6.0 LS the thing you should look at is the oilpan , if you are going to put this in Elvis and run him low you will need to have the oilpan shortened or purchase off Amazon the Hotrod oil pan to shorten it for lowriding your chassis . They have one around $100 dollars which isn't much considering everything else your doing to Elvis . JMO keep up the great work I'm excited to see what color Elvis is going to be
