    Man idk how yall are saying weeks with braids. They’re not dreads. You’re not supposed to have braids for weeks at a time. When I did have braids I would wash and condition and then use olive oil hair lotion before bed and put a durag on and it lasted me until the end of the week when I would get braided again. I saw someone say he wasn’t gonna wash them for months ☠️ bruh what?

    • @redbrain5629

      Are u white ? You can have them for 1 month ideally and max 2 months

      @@YourSoulFriend253 my sister was. I had braids when I played soccer in college so I always needed them nice. I would definitely wash and condition them on the days in between. I’d also use the olive oil hair lotion at nite and use a durag. I did play soccer so I would sweat a lot obviously and didn’t want to smell. I can understand people leaving their braids in for longer periods of time that don’t sweat much but I couldn’t do it. Even though my sister was a hairstylist she still charged me every time she tied me up 😂 I eventually got dreads but I made the horrible mistake of getting them in the middle of summer and I couldn’t sleep so one nite I got up and cut em all off. Regretted it as soon as I cut the first lock off

      I won't lie to u, you've got to have good money as well as high pain tolerance if ur able to get ur hair re-braided every single week bc most ppl get their hair re-braided after at least four weeks. The reason why ppl keep braids in for so long is bc if u re-braid ur hair very often then it'll be hard to see growth since you'll be experiencing a lot of breakage due to how often u fully comb out ur hair before braiding

    after the fourth week do you start washing weekly or is it just every four weeks if you keep your cornrows in for more than a month?

    • @Phat-Kat23
      @Phat-Kat23 Месяц назад

      Depends on your hair type… if you have 4 type hair then only do it once every 2-4 weeks.
