Wow! what an insightful video. also trying to pivot from education to back to the media space which is where I started. thanks for sharing your journey, Penson.
Interesting share. Thank you. I transitioned too. I was in real estate for a long time, leasing (retail mostly but also telecoms too). Life changed. I spent 8 months in social media PR. Rough industry coming from where I was from but I’m grateful because i needed the skills. I now have a RUclips channel and freelance to supplement while it grows at its own pace. I see myself as the real estate now, looking after myself by doing what I love, building my personal brand and leveraging off my energy to sell my products in various ways. Life begins every day. I watch your videos because I see you influencing minds. Irrespective of how much money this channel makes you, you’re doing what you love, expressing yourself and this probably enhances your value in other spaces. For me, YouTubing has expanded my mind, my heart and my world. The ad revenue is definitely not enough but as a marketing platform, it’s definitely a launchpad that our youth really needs to embrace if they feel stuck in life. Again, thanks.
Transition is neccessary at time, I think one thing that detours people from doing so is the fear of failure and lack of patience. Good things take time to build and the process can be challenging at times, very challenging. I never look back from when I Transition into a business space, the process was very challenging for the first few years but later on it ease up once you have built a great network and a good reputation in the market.
I'm a graphic designer trying to move into video and digital media..what I'm noticing is that I need to push my consistency like I have been for graphic design for the past 6 years..I have all the skills and nothing's new now.. I need to grab onto the challenge and do my best
This is quite inspiring, I'm still in the latter half my 20's and im trying to transition into Education through IT Ive grown tried of construction😂 Just need to figure out how to transfer these skills i learnt😅
I want to be an online entrepreneur but I struggle with focus, I become easily distracted...I think I know what I have to do but I struggle to be consistent, I do have job but I am not happy not only that I am not even happy in my personal life- I do not have friends or a girlfriend, and sometimes I feel lonely- but I understand that this is the time to up level my life but I need community and accountable friends but I find it hard to do that for me, maybe I feel not good enough. I have hope my brother but your story kind inspires me and I have been watching your content and I love it, I love the issues that you are tackling- hoping that I could find my voice one day as well...I believe I have poor self image which strips up every time, I will say this I am hopeful
If you have an awareness around this, you can heal it yourself. I recommend writing (journaling). Just write your thoughts. Whatever it is and don't judge it. Over time, you'll observe yourself and begin to interrogate and start crafting your self-image toward how you want to see yourself and you'll become it. It's beginning the conversation with yourself then identifying which conversations you want to share with others 💚 I watched an interview with Sizwe Nxasana last week. He was already journaling as a teenager. It's underrated.
I really get what you're saying about selling yourself. i work as a waiter at a 5 star restaurant and I've had more luck getting job potential opportunities more then I've put my cv in open vacancies 😅
I just came to correct your math.If you are making R50 per thousand views and you get 100 000 views, then you have made R5000 not R500 000. You're welcome
Shout out, Pens! You are really an inspiration. The world needs people like you, let alone Mzansi.
