Nerys Ghemor BS! I'm a woman and I know that we have a big choice in what to wear. I suspect that they found the clothes uncomfortable because they are designed for women's bodies. Women's clothes are generally more fitted hence for a man to try them on would be uncomfortable given that men's bodies are a different shape to women's bodies. Women can wear comfortable jeans and t-shirts if they want. Note, these guys only tried on certain types of clothes, not the wide range of women's clothes that's available for us. Stop acting like a victim and making out that women are victims.

They are under pressure to work out and get in shape just as much ad women are. If there's any pressure on women to show their bodies, it's from other women! We see other women wearing revealing clothes and that can make us want to do the same. If you really think you're being 'treated like meat', then you're more likely to want to wear clothes that cover you up more!
Nerys Ghemor Nobody is forcing women to wear that stuff. To wear clothes you think men find pleasant to look at is also a choice. If you want to wear clothes that don't appeal to men go ahead. No man is going to bother you about it. But that's the problem isn't it? Women wear that stuff because they crave male attention and validation and they don't get that if they put on a sack. But that's not somethin "the evil patriachy" forces onto women, it seems to be part of the female psyche.
I don't have two shits to give about female clothing choices. But to make a choice and then blame others for it is just insane. In that respect clothing is no different from anything else. You chose it, live with the consequences good and bad. If you don't feel like living with the consequenses, chose differently. That's all there is to it. No one else involved, not men, not "the patriarchy" just a woman and her closet.

Given that it means men aren';t the ones who made women start wearing them, it then also means women are the ones to blame for inserting it into the "female gender role". Same with the color pink, which used to be a masculine color. Gender appropriation at work!

When heels were for men (to show off their muscled calves in tights, yes that was fashion, go see the famous portrait of Louis XIV) they were perfectly acceptable, but when women started to wear them, they became tainted with feminity and thus unacceptable for men. Feminine things are always judged "superficial, useless, fickle..." and so on. That's how men show they belong to THE MEN group, you see, because they don't do or touch what is seen as "women stuff". That's why some men are so ashamed to moisturize their skin, and need to be reassured in advertising that the lotion they use is "for men only" and "the strongest badass-est lotion ever". That's also why men with "feminine" behaviours or tastes are ridiculed and insulted, because feminity is seen as demeaning.

FatShaggy they may be made with gender in mind, but that doesn't mean a boy can't wear a dress, or a girl can't wear a suit. In the society we live in, yes, dresses are made to fit girls. But that's just how we made it to be. Honestly I know a lot of guys that rock dresses. I'll be getting my own soon enough.
