- Hootie and the Blowfish performs "Time" at the Farm Aid concert in Louisville, Kentucky on October 1st, 1995. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Hard to believe this is right on the cusp of their breakthrough album (which sold 16 million copies) 'Cracked Rear View'. Every time I see this man sing, I am humbled at his beginnings. Greatest Pop / Rock band ever!
Proud to say I was born the year this album came out what a year 😂
I'm from Spain and was 20 when bought the CD right after listening TIME on the radio. I knew nothing about these guys, but the voice of the singer captivated me at once. Time passed by and kinda forgot about them. Years after and by a chance, I listened the flawless cover of Tom Waits's 'I hope that I don't fall in love with you', it's amazing how he still keeps the unique power of his voice. I wonder why they were so underrated.
@@miguelm.t.9253 they sold 16 million copies.. I dont think they were underrated
@@justiceaustin2377 proud to say graduated high school the year this came out.

What a voice. Darius Rucker is a treasure, and I can imagine the band forming this gem off that catchy riff in just one jam session.

Love Hootie and the Blowfish. Could and have listened to this album over and over again.!!!
I was there and had the fortune of seeing this live. At the time I never really gave a second thought to Hootie and the blowfish but became a big fan after watching their appearance awesome show!

Damn! Memories!
A young Julius Caesar transports to 1995, dons flannel, plays guitar, and shows no emotion.
The High school.. I miss that time.
Great !!!
Rubbish. All but Darius and the drummer were way off.
very good voice and great keep it up
This guy is so friggin rich. Plus makes bands like Default and Dave Matthews Band look in awe. Like "Hey, we're making more money :P"
lol at 1:50 Darius gives Dean a look, you know D is thinking dude you are way off lol.
i saw that lol his eyes was like wtf man
Darius rucker is the man!!!
♥️♥️
Maybe their mothers wont cry tonight...
Nowitzki on guitars
Damn he is on pitch here
dat band.
background vocals a little off key
That's so funny! Did you see the look Darius gives him? I about crapped my pants! Darius was in a band far below his talents. They should must have gotten the base singer an autotuner for the rest of their time together, either that or replaced him. At 1:50, Darius looks at him like "what the ????". Even the lead guitar is a bit of a hack. But, at least they held it together long enough to get Darius discovered.
I saw that!! He was FLAT on that note 🤣🤣🤣
@@rittjc also, Mark Bryan is an amazing guitarist. Them two could've had their own band and still get it.
lol right
Backup vocals turned up wayyyy too much lol
Ouch
I was
Unintelligibility, a hallmark of the 90's.
??
Was Darius the only sober one on stage. That bass player sucked at vocals and bass. The lead guitar is sloppy. Darius probably thought get me the fuck outta this band.
What an asinine comment.
Mark looks drunk! HA
he keeps looking left...like a micromanager.
paper through the toilets? and do you pretend i trust you? no thanks
God he's got a beautiful voice
Love Hootie & Blowfish
