Thanks for keeping me going in the middle section when I was struggling with my hamstring. Didn’t give in and I made it all the way. See you next year.
@@PaulCoatesTrailRunning haha yep probably not your greatest choice. Thanks for bringing back all those amazing memories from the last 50k. Such a beautiful trail, even when it’s soggy!
Great video! Loved it - I did the 50k and have zero footage, so I really appreciated this! Enjoy your recovery, and I hope you're waiting longer than 3 weeks til the next one!
Glad you had a good run. Next race is 3 weeks, but it’s a multi day event. So a marathon each day around Jurassic coast path. 3 days of running so will be fun
@@PaulCoatesTrailRunning 100 really does sound epic . Is that your furthest day event ? Yes I have stubbornly been wearing my road shoes exclusively but the ones I’m using now which are a NB fuel cell propel are possibly the slipperiest shoes I have ever owned when it’s wet .I do have a pair of cliche Speedgoats but I have never gone further than ten miles in them so I’m sort of reluctant to commit to them on anything beyond that incase they start to fail,
@@guzgrant I can’t wear Speedtest as I have wide feet. I go a size up in hoka so wear Bondi, Rincon, torrent and Clifton atr. None are any good in real muddy events. The Sdw 100 was my 1st 100 miler event. Very brutal. I think 50 miles are more do-able and you still have time to get home for shower and beer
@@BenNotley It’s so nice to meet nice people who do trail running and support each other. Plus I love their video’s. Both have fun and make you feel immersed. A bit like your videos buddy
Jurassic coast challenge at end of July. A marathon each day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday around Charmouth to Studland bay. Race hq is Portland in Dorset. Lots of hills and coast paths
Another great video Paul, amazing effort after the 100 miler. Time to put your feet up!!!!!!!!
Couple of weeks off. Then 3 marathon over a weekend at Portland
Great video Paul and loved the banter at the end with Mr Cousins and Mr Purvis!
Yeah, Stephen Cousins and Loyd Purvis are such great guys. Always good to have some banter

Glad you made it to the end.
Great video Paul. Glad your feet got as wet as mine did. You are a crazy man doing that distance after your 100! Awesome as always 🤩
I don’t my choice of road shoes was that good either

Loving the banter you’re giving to Purvis & Cousins Paul! Keep it going. Happy Christmas 🎄 👍
Yeah, they deserve it. But they do have a great sense of humour. Merry Christmas

Well done Paul, great effort & top job recording it 👍🏃
I didn’t catch me falling over in the mud, thankfully or the thorn stuck in my hand
Well done Paul. Fantastic effort and great video 👏👏 I loved the 50k but found it tough in the mud 😃
The mud sapped the legs a bit. Good training for winter though
Haha - true! I wasn’t expecting it in July though….
@@bensmith6633 - I thought there may be a little bit of mud. I was caught out completely with my shoe choice
Luckily I opted for trails at the last minute. Really enjoyed the event…
Wow. What an effort mate! Well done.
Thank you - it was a struggle from 32 miles. Just tried to hang in there and get to the finish still smiling
100 k is so enviable and you made it look great .
It was a struggle. My road shoes didn’t like the muddy bits. But it’s such a great event. I just went for a long day out and survival mode

Amazing stuff Paul!!! Truly inspiring mate. Great to see Loyd and Stephen at the end for a bit of banter. Keep up the good work mate! 😎🤘🏻
It made it so special to have some banter with them. They are absolute legends and so grounded and friendly

Great effort. Especially after a big 100 a few weeks earlier!
It was pretty slow, but I got round.
