I forgot that my ceiling is not as high as I thought it would be and threw the stick up for a spin and I heard a loud noise "CLANG". Awesome, the ceiling fan took another spin of my stick and sent it to the dining table and bounced off right into the family pictures and some valuable decorating items... thanks sensei, you taught us everything but not how to prevent breaking valuables. I guess I deserved sleeping on the couch for a while or maybe forever???
The most in depth video about anything ever. You cover all the points, almost like you are communicating with someone who asks questions, and you answering them with 100% accuracy.
I love that Casey was given the recognition she deserves. The partner form with her and Lauren with a single staff is one of the best there's ever been.
This sir, is an excellent tutorial and an excellent bit of teaching by someone who 100% knows what he's talking about.... Im out in Vietnam learning their traditional martial arts võ cổ truyền.... I just started learning their staff techniques. If you have time, please look that art up, or the lovely little first staff form đả hổ lương đầu côn (basically: hitting the tiger 🐅 with a big stick) the beautiful art needs more publicity. I started typing my reply half way through the video... and jeez, it just got better and better.... You sir, should be proud of your teaching. I qualified as a highschool teacher in 1994 and have, for years now, taught, observed and trained many school teachers... I know some ace teaching when I see it!
Awesome! It’s funny how we discover things without knowing it, I was doing butterfly releases because they were more comfortable for me to use throwing by bo up.
Hi Jackson, could you please show how to spin the bo above your head, then finish with a overhead strike please? I want to add some flare to my weaponry training. Thanks! Love your tips of the month.... I hope your still training.
Hi there!! I’m an aspiring black belt hoping to master more releases then I’m being taught and I was wondering if the propeller and the butterfly were the same move but different names I do taekwondoe not regular karate so I was wondering if there’s a difference!!
But isn't it true that all the single hand technique is great for chi meditation and show but actual fighting requires 2 hands on staff. RIGHT? I had a boring job on a conveyer belt frozen fillet scangrader fish separator and used a metal bo staff to keep machine clear for 2 years and invented on my own all the one hand techniques just because there's only so many ways to twirl a baton.
i was thinkin the same thing. ive always been taught to measure you Bo at an two inches taller than yourself. what he is using i would consider a short staff except most short staff's ive seen are a wider diameter.
Absolutely beautiful if you want your staff to go flying off to ten buck two when your opponent strikes it with his/her own staff ! Flashy pretty equals ass kicked !

He doesn't bro
He can't teach beginners
But somewhat true

@@HaloWolf102 I can learn faster than that
Warning: Don't try this at home till you master the moves. I'm currently trying to glue back together my wife's favorite lamp before she gets home.
Oof🤣🤣
Just pretend to be the lamp whenever she's around. She'll just think the lamp broke her husband.
You should've either went outside or go in areas where there were no objects.
Omg lol
Oh lord

Drum majors have been making this throw for many decades. Interesting it took till '97 to jump to bo staff.

Whose the lady with the iconic pose...is it casey march or what's her full name???
Very impressive and informative.
"grabbing the bottom"... **gigggles**
What is the staff made of? Why are they so light?
What kind of bo staff he use though ?I'm just using bamboo stick ,a little bit thicker ...
Good. Wish to see the same with Bo staff 1kg weight. Keeping the same speed :)
Why is your staff so short?

It's a competition bo staff
Can you buy the bo staff that you use on the internet? Please let me know the site if you can purchase it.

It's hard..haha..how long you are practising that..
“Bo” is Japanese for Staff. You’re saying “staff staff”.
What lol😅😅😅
just like how they say chai tea and “chai” means tea in swahili so they’re just saying “tea tea”
