completely forgetting you own a sentry gun is the only way to play engineer
vouch
double sentry, turret whip, is the only way to play engi
Playing engineer is the only way to play engineer.
The amount of times I've forgotten putting up the sentry confirms this as 100% true.
...and if you have Lok-I, you BECOME sentry gun.
1:27 Placing a platform while you're falling and then perfectly missing it is the epitome of engineer gaming
when the floor conveniently consumes the part of the platform you try to land on
The third of my death rate as engy is exactly one and only THIS situation.
As someone who loves the play engineer this is the most relatable thing to me
“It literally was there 5 years before i landed, what do you mean i shot too late?!” - Me, 3 hours ago.
My internet deciding it’d be silly to only spawn my platform AFTER i’m down
I love feral driller. He’d be the first to revert to a cave trog.
It's glyphids georg, who lives in a cave and eats 10000 glyphids a day.
Also if you pay attention there's little details of him every where and even the frozen dwarf!
@@StoneBox_761a you can even see all the names of the previous team
@@iwillslapyou4982 that too!
You can find him in the background of different shots
0:58 he scurries away when the Gunner looks down at the abandoned pod,
1:21 when the gunner lands on the blast fungus
and at 1:40 if ur quick you can catch his name (Glyphid Georg) and the name of his former squadmates; Steeve Demayo (The name on the dog tags in Steeve's mouth), Pun Name, and Carl
2:20 The way the driller threw the axe at the patrol bot when they didn't have any ammo left is full of the exaggerated swagger of a DRG employee.
This enraged the rival tech commander,
Who couldn’t do anything but stay mad
(You thought I was going to put “Punished him severely”?)
the noise he made too was golden like hes been left there for years and has forgotten how to speak its great edit the way he moves as well is also very good
@@StoneBox_761athe noise he made is also an actual quote when throwing an axe too
@@Th3_Sp4Ce_M0nK3y its even funnier the second time!
@@Th3_Sp4Ce_M0nK3y heck he even looks like he was left down there for a time frame I could only say was yes amount of days
So many blink-and-you’ll-miss-it details that make rewatching all the more fun! Loved “please remove the FUCKING AXE from the central processor”
RVLtech and dorf as well
I love how they hear beeping, instantly think "Ooo, free loot!" Then remember they're playing a salvage mission where beeping is commonplace, and just entirely miss the loot at the end
Which is why it's good to know your beeps!
The mini M.U.L.E.s sound is more a beeping, whereas crate batteries and helmets are more chirps. With helmets being slower than an individual batteries chirps
@@Th3_Sp4Ce_M0nK3y and betc sounds more scary.
The uplink and refueling sequence were absolutely phenomenal
A real cozy job up in there.
At 2:31, I love that you can see the dwarf shaped hole in the glass that the guy in the Launch Bae video made in the background being repaired by two wooden boards
and the dworf himself is still in an ice cube in the background of Mission Control partying
I love the fact this kind of implies Mission Control's announcements are what attract the bugs... 😹
Love how you can see driller at 00:56 - 01:00, 01:13 and at 1:21 just skulking around... Oh, and you can see at 01:39 he's called Glyphids Georg. Nice touch
Fan theory: Glyphids Georg is Karl's twice removed cousin's boyfriend's roomate.
Gorge, where exactly?
@@theghostlycoward3616on the cave data screen you can see:
Steeve demayo (shield expert)
Glyphids georg (survivalist)
Pun name (punchline job role)
Carl (not the guy you’re thinking of)
Who are probably the gunner, scout, engineer and driller respectively.
@@tinymicrowave6821 oh, cool thanks
@@tinymicrowave6821 nah, the driller is Glyphids George. He is the only one who has a connection lost status instead of no vital signs.
Also being a survivalist is probably how he is still alive.
I've never played DRG, but this animation shows me all I need to know. Great work as always!!
Play it, you wont regret it
The game is really good. Especially with the a couple of friends.
worth the money and 100% worth the sale price
It's pretty damn good. Best with a friend, but they give you solo options too.
You wont regret it, even with random players its still a lot of fun
The implication that the rivals are duende is amazing and based
*violent puking noises*
Duende real
*Joel’s anti-alien alarm starts playing very loudly*
@@ghoulbuster1DO NOT TRANSLATE THIS COMMENT!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there should definitely be more shorts about the dwarves messing around and this is PRECISELY what it should be. The memes about stuff like the goosack and WE'RE RICH, Management hating our guts, and dwarves dying to their clips running dry and gravity long before they actually die at the hand of any glyphid. You've captured the feel of a few numbskulls in space trying to survive a hostile planet and laughing their butts off as Management needs another drink.
and a feral boi, who ate bugs to survive
It’s funny that in between you posting WiP clips of this and posting the final video I actually got into DRG so now I can understand the jokes!
Oh wow, this truly is perfect. The pack/crate/BET-C thing that turns out to be the mini MULE (and that payoff at the end), the accurate LOK-1 during several scenes with just an actual eye strapped to it instead of a camera, the depiction of Salvage missions - incredible. The worldbuilding and quality of each joke is impressively deep. Details like the fuel cell beacon, the cosmetics on the dwarves in a single shot on the rig and accurate beers/effects, the zipline embedded in the pod coming with it, and the hole in the rig window from the balloon animation. This channel is just gold.
in the short time before the drop pod exits the planet, on the ascent there is a bet-c, lost miner, and cargo crate all in the same cave
At 2:27 you can briefly see that all three of them were correct.
And the sound playing in the background that he's hearing is from the mini MULE, which none of them guessed.
Oh my god
That's a nice detail with the Bet-c, cargo crate, and lost equipment there, visible in half a frame.
The horn playing backwards as it docks back into the space rig was so good!
I love the engineer peeling steeve rock and stone
"Out of amno." - Engy after peeling shell off Steeve
A rescue mission that actually saved a dwarf! They might be the most annoying crew on the rig, but they did a heros job this time around. And now they have a full team to boot, love how this crew is developing. I'll stick around to see where they go.
the description talks about it being their last mission but idk.
@@heckobo670 it's talking about the last video where it ended with mission control saying that they had a "mining accident"
A search and rescue mission would be a really cool mission
A awesome animation with so many cool things in it!
Here a a few i found:
0:15 - 0:18 You can see one of the lost dwarfs skeletons.
In the fight from 0:45 - 0:50 you can see a Leaf Lover mug, a error cube, Engie's right Glove, a frog, Steeve, Scouts helmet and a gold chunk fly out of the cloud.
At 0:58 and 1:21 you can see the only survivor of the drop pod
At 1:35 behind Mining accident is the dwarf from Launch Bae.
At 1:40 you can shortly see the crew manifest with:
Steeve Demayo (Shield explert) [No vital signs]
Glyphids Georg (Survivalist) [Connection lost]
Pun Name (Punchline Lob Role) [No vital signs]
Carl (Not the guy your thinking of) [No vital signs]
The error screen at 2:21
You can see that all of them were right at 2:27
The drop pod at 2:30 has Gunners Zipline with mushroom from 1:42
2:35 Lootbug plush
Tell me if i missed some!
1:51 A grunt prays that he isn't targeted by Engi's gun.
the moment I saw the fuel line spell out "suck my ass", I knew this video was made by somebody who knows DRG very well.
ROCK AND STONE BROTHER!
The glyphid crossing itself hoping not to get target locked at 1:51 got me.
I watched this, then rewatched Hollow Bough, then watched this again to realize this is a direct continuation of the "mining accident" at the end of Hollow Bough. Amazing tie-in.
This is just beautiful. I've laughed at this for 5 hours now.
Joke aside, I've come back to this for probably the 9th time now, just because this is so perfect. The sentence mixing, the animation, the little jokes only someone who actually plays DRG would understand. Marvellous.
YES the sequel we did not know we needed
So there was a BET-C, Cargo crate and a backpack! 2:27
Daddy, gimme legs
I can confirm that Steeve feels like a baby/dog to me when I play. (I felt sad when my first Steeve died, even though it’s expected for them to do so)
Mistaking the Mini M.U.L.E beeping for a skin crate or a bet-c is way too relatable
a dwarf must check the mission plan and have a common sense.
basically every single mission
minus the massive ammount of drinking and rocking and stoning
this vid comes up in my recommendations like every other day, and you know what? who am i to say "no" to this masterpiece?
gotta say, while the perk isn't used often, unstoppable makes plenty of stuns and slowdowns a ton more bearable
like after I went from my usual build having it to randoweiser which might or might not have it, the pain that is fungus bogs goo slowdown is really noticeable
We need MORE of this. PLEASE!
You're getting more! I'm working on salt pits!
1:32 i like how in the background, you could see a cameo to one of incendiary's previous deep rock animations
another one is if you stop/switch to 0.5x speed and stop at 2:28, you can see the bet-c and cargo crate that gunner and scout were talking about
So detail-rich i love this animation. Also the musicwork is very nice.
I love how you switch between so many versions of lost swamp so perfectly to match the action, such a great video!
Hell yeah Forest Navel music, that’s honestly kinda fitting for the fungus bogs
Just noticed all the links between this and the Hollow Bough video: the video starting with the sounds heard at the end of the previous mission, scout missing the lower half of his mask that fell off in the Hollow Bough, and Mission Control assuming the dwarves are dead after the “mining accident”. Gotta love those attentions to detail
1:50 After the glyphid spitter is shot down, upper row, second from the right starts praying xD
Inaccurate, it's not possible to pass by a MUSHROOM without pinging it
The pingable mushrooms unfortunately did not show up though.
WE'RE RRIIICH!
Just realised that the one Glyphid that prays, doesn't get locked on, at 1:51
It's just perfect. I was laughing until the video ended XD Good job bro
Dunno how to describe but whatever chaotic animation of DRG i just watched was awesome
Subbed for the top tier Isaac animations, started playing DRG a few months ago, and now you drop this banger, 10/10
That's exactly how I'd imagine leaf luvin' knife ears who use magical robots to do their dirty work would look like. As green as the tree shit they eat!
This really made my smile... sometimes.
The other times I was busy laughing! ^^
Thanks, mate! :D
Love how you encapsulated the gremlin nature of driller. Edit: DO MAGMA CORE NEXT.
If you can watch an animation of a game you've never seen or played and you still find it hilarious it's a good animation.
The battery line spelling "fuck my ass" got me good. Amazing video. Love it.
An accurate summary of a trip to the Bungus Fogs alright.
Oh my god the reverse la cucaracha horn is Perfection
Great animation! I especially love that when Steeve is tamed, it makes that sound from Nintendogs. I'm gonna see if that's a mod now!
A tv show based on DRG would be so fun
1:58 Now that's some *rich* food
0:37 typical dwarf conversations be like
Nice just got into deep rock galactic, actually had a game yesterday where I carried my team as driller so I can attest axe representation is pretty accurate.
Great video man. Huge and very noticeable imrprovement from the last drg video. Keep up the good work 👍
This. Was. GLORIOUS. The animation was smooth, the expressions and dialogue was hilarious, and it even felt like the dwarves had actual personalities besides just being "the engineer" or "the scout". The voice and dialogue you used for the RIVAL guy was also hilarious! Like if you took any toxic player from *insert popular competitive shooter here* and gave him a job piloting robots.
The fuel cells dangling from the drop pod like truck nuts is fantastic.
Man, this is INCREDIBLE!!!
The the way it animated, the way you added in-game voice lines as a dialoge and ect is AWESOME!!!
i like to call this biome "bungus bogs"
Correction: "Bungus Fogs"
can't believe they made it back with -1 casualties
You know, before watching this, it never even crossed my mind that the Rivals could literally just be the Little Green Duende-Ass "Check-The-Bathroom"-Ass Marcianitos 100% Real No Fake
A very rock and stone animation.
this is perfect, flawless, i love it.
2:20 I would like to thank you on behalf of all Driller Mains for accurately portraying what utterly deranged troglodytes we really are.
After finally playing DRG I can now appreciate this more than I did when it was uploaded, this really is the accurate DRG experience.
"Duendeware" is that a Joel Vinesauce reference? 👽
my god the animation got so much better GREAT JOB!!! (also love the small eye on the lok 1)
Worth the wait.
fucking love this... hope there will be more at somepoint! Srsly the two dwarves just comedicaly fighting and arguing with eachother and arguing is just golden XD
this is how I go through the mission with randoms
I love the idea that the rivals are just little green marsians, not even a classic fantasy race like everyone has been assuming
0:38 favorite scene
*God fucking tier cartoon style.* *Dude, your DRG videos are 101% show all shit that is generated in this great game.* *Great fucking job! Rock and Stone artist, Rock and Stone.* ⛏
My hatred for fungus bogs is a *personal* one
Btw fucking awesome animation
“NO ALIEN! NO MARCIANITO! NO DUENDE!”
-Uncle Jobel
I choose to believe that that feral driller was Karl coming to rescue the boys in their hour of need
The engineer falling flat on his face right next to the platform had my cry laughing so hard
As an Engi main, I've missed so many god damn platforms, even the ones I shoot directly below me
I like how scout thinks in wingdings, gunner in camo, and engi in coordinate plains.
love the idea of just aliens at fucking computers playing CSGO and controlling the drones and bots like that
Never knew this circle of hell could fit on just one planet. Mere thought of this location inflicts gag reflex.
Damn this is amazing! It gives tf2 SFM vibes but drawn
Rock and Stone!
2:21
"Please remove the FUCKING AXE lodged in the central processor" got me so hard god deyum
Love the duende references on the monitor
my favorite mission-biome combo is probably point extraction in glacial strata
The pikmin music and sound effects is perfection.
Engie's Lok1 targeting the other dwarf was an excellent touch
I count two instances of Glyphids Georg sculking about before he reveals himself
I LOOOOOOOOVE THIS!!!! Gives me Left 4 Speed vibes. Please make more!
I’m pretty sure the forest navel comes from pikmin 1, but none the less amazing video with everything else!!
Shoot, my brain must've fried from all the lost swamp variants I had to timestamp. Thanks for the heads-up!
that is literally the realest DRG skit ive ever seen, every FB mission plays that way lol
Man, the disappointment of thinking a special machine is nearby, forgetting that you’re on a salvage operation, is too real.
you forgot the part when every dwarf pings a mushrum
gold animations
We need a update that will let us bring steeve on the space rig
That some masterpiece over here. Good job, keep it up.
I love it when scout is holding steve in front of him for protection!
This was awesome!
And the voice of the enemy behind the computer reminded me of Di Lung from Courage the Cowardly Dog
The Sniper Turret doing Lego star wars blaster sounds is perfect.
I can't get over the idea of an alien corporation controlling the robots with confidence, only to be reduced to gaming-rage when they're bested by a rag-tag team of dwarves.
This is hilarious! Well done!
The MC rambling then passing out and proceed to attract swarms is relatable
