Meet the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly, along with our three adventurous children. Nine years ago, we embarked on an incredible journey, leaving our home in Alaska, USA, behind to explore the world. As teachers, we were fortunate to find amazing opportunities in Chennai, India, where we spent two enriching years. Seeking new experiences, we then made our way to the United Arab Emirates.
Just as we were settling into our UAE life, the pandemic struck, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Instead, we saw it as an opportunity for another chapter in our journey. We moved to Indonesia, where we currently hold teaching jobs, and it has been a time of learning, growth, and connection.
As a family, we thrive on traveling and embracing the unknown. Adventures are our way of life, and through our experiences, we aim to inspire our children to be confident in meeting new people, trying diverse cuisines, and immersing themselves in different languages and cultures.

As I known.. Tunjungan Plaza was The First Of the Bigest and Largest Shopping Mall in Indonesia. opening at 1986.
That's how kids are so cute. Girls will love their fathers more and boys will love their mothers more.
I go to this Tunjungan Plaza mall every year, usually during Eid Days

Tunjungan Plaza 1,2,3,4,5,6 is the second biggest mall in Surabaya. You can also try to go to Galaxy Mall 1,2,3 at the east part of Surabaya city.

Oh and another thing, if you guys failed to find vegetarian food in java, you might try to look for a warteg, and have a nasi rames (mixed rice) then you order nasi, sayur (vegetables), oreg tempe (tempe cooked with kecap manis) sayur tahu (tofu dish) and a bit of sambal.. and kerupuk for sure. Sayur is a key Word for vegetarian.. hehe
