You should go to Pondok Indah Mall! It's at South Jakarta. I assure you, you'll have a good experience there. Considering it is one of the most modern malls in South Jakarta.
I disagree that this food court in Grand Indonesia is the most expensive food court in Jakarta. It was a normal food court and he didn't choose the most expensive restaurants. You can go to more luxurious malls, for example District 8 SCBD, where the food court vendors are quite in the upper threshold.

Blok M used to be the traditional style market in Jakarta. These new malls are like something you would see in the States. Hey have you brought any Batik yet? Short sleeve batik shirts are just the best. Even acceptable in semi formal ceremonies in Indonesia.
If I wore one of those 'batik shirts' as a white man do you think anybody might have a negative reaction to that? I assume not, but just making sure. Those shirts look quite stylish. They remind me of the type of clothing worn in western Africa.

Yeah.. Mall is suck your wallet very quickly maybe almost 5 years I never go to the Mall... Just no more interest in Mall especially after pandemic too many rules... Last time going to Mall is to an Computer/Electronic Mall to buy Computer Stuff.... only -+1 hour then back Home and I feel a bit regret buying Computer Hardware in Mall because after I check at online shop its almost 30% cheaper than in the Mall LoL Mall is my favorite place when I was still a kid - high school.
Yes, Blok M is a favorite hangout place for young people in South Jakarta. and in the vicinity there is a very famous food, namely Gultik. Please try. ️
Can confirm. I used to go to Blok M for bus transit when I was in college and everytime I go home, I always do a detour to get some coffee and snacks with my friends
You can meet a lot of cheap nice street food vendors starting around 4-5 pm at side of the mall. Many youtubers have already reviewed this spot. Just check 'em 😊
As a parent I dont think its a proper meal for their kids as they might not used to the indonesian "real" streed food, esp in term of its cleanliness, i think they did the right thing by avoiding the risk, even I as indonesian would think twice to give the food from these street vendors as we know how the environment around those street vendors in PI and GI area
Try visist ancol beach where the fun are there, world of fantasy sort of huge fun world, sea world, cable car, small zoo, is gonna be fun for your kids

Everyone is bussy ,work to do, ... Other spot Will be great... Explore West Java are more chill and different vibe .. Contineou to centre and east of Java... And try different accomodation... Experience by train maybe..to go to other region or provience.... For this moment mount Bromo is my favorite spot and highly reccomend to you...( It ls fenomenal more chill and as a local never had bored to visit it ) Explore east Java and continou to Bali island.... Avoid stay longer in capital ....

MALL TAMAN ANGGREK in jakarta Barat has wide Ice skating arena for children, ride roller skate inside GBK SENAYAN for instagramable spots , Planetarium in TIM Cikini , ZOO & Orchid park in RAGUNAN SOUTH JAKARTA , PIK for China Town, and quite a lot natural beauty to explore around BOGOR & SUKABUMI, which has complete facilities for camping ground , BANDUNG CITY offer quite many theme parks & volcanoes with mountainery views which mostly suits for family vacation
Taman Mini is not really nice anymore and is often closed. Nothing really interesting there. The ice skating rink in Taman Anggrek has been closed for a long time.
Go visit central park mall in west jakarta, the mall has a nice park to walk around Oh and do try seirock ya ramen, it is way better than ramen ya imo Cheers!
