    Spot on review. It’s a great bike I have a 2012. It’s very quick and also comfortable but without all the bulk of a full maxi scooter so it a lot of fun to ride and responsive.The acceleration is addicting. Yes the seat is positioned a little too far forward but like you I became used to it. It’s a great all around scooter. I never get tired of riding it.

    Being able to adjust the valve lash with feeler gage and wrench was the desideing factor for me and easy access to the valves. I live to far from a dealer to do the most often done maintenance. I own a 2012 Kymco Like 200 i and am 76 , so this is maybe the last one for me, although keep looking at a new one. They never get old.

    i have the burgman 200...its a good little urban scoot...great solo...its comfortable at 65 but can cruise 70 but i am wary of blowing it to bits..... it has revived my enthusiasm for local rides, my partner also likes coming along... now its really sluggish... and i need the extra power of a 300... i like these downtowns but they are scarce in uk... the kwak j300i looks a superb scooter(i know its basically the same) but im worried about foot position..i dont want to ride like im sitting on toilet

      To be honest. It is cramped. Best to do is go sit on one. Seating was my biggest issue so I sold it

    Nice looking machine but I heard it’s hard to get Kimco parts and dealers are pulling out for lack of support

      Dealers have parts but they are very pricy but you can get the shipped from Taiwan for a good price. So no big deal. They still make this bike so there’s parts.

    Forzas are usually around 5,000.
    Were you able to find parts for the kymco easily?

      I order them directly from Taiwan, much cheaper than buying from dealers, 2-3 times less.

    I hope one comes up for sale near me so I can try the size. I'm six foot seven and I don't think I'll fit.

      It’s a bit cramped due to the seat’s design but a different seat would probably accommodate anyone regardless of height

    Brate jesi imo problem sa diznom odnosno ignition coil ? Meni javlja check engine code 37 to je ignition coil sta da radim

      Zameni ako možeš, to ti nije komplikovano. Usput zameni i svećicu i ok si. Kako pali? Kašlje li?

    Arent dealers closing up on the West Coast? That’s what I was told -support is very limited

      Not sure about that. Still getting parts from Taiwan isn’t too bad but if you want good dealer support I recommend a Honda.

    Brate kako ti se sviga skuter,kakav mu je kvalitet ? Zanima me potrosnja,kvalitet,i max brzina,dali pruza zastitu od vetra ?

      Bas sam planirao da uradim duzi video i na sva ta pitanja odgovorim. Uglavnom, ovaj model od 300 kubika mi se svidja jer je dovoljno snazan i startuje brzo ali ne toliko da je i opasan ili zastrasujuci.
      Kvalitet je dobar, pogotovo plastika koja se nalazi na spoljasnjim delovima. motor, pumpa, i svi ostali delovi su isto kvalitetni, tu cenim da Honda i Yamaha nisu ispred. Ovaj model je cini mise izasao 2010 i jos se prodaje kao nov u mnogim zemljama, to se retko vidja.
      Jedna stvar koja mi se ne svidja jeste da ima mnogo crne plastike ispred vozaca, mogli su to malo lepse da urade, malo vise boje radi izgleda, na ruckama cak nisu ni logo stavili pa deluje malo dosadno, ali, skuteri iz ovog perioda su uglavnom tako izgledali, tek od 2013- su poceli malo da ih napucavaju. I ovaj je jedan od lepsih iz tog perioda pa i sada.
      E da, imao sam priliku da vozim i yamahu i hondu iz iste kategorije, cini mi se da Kymco nije bas toliko refinisan, prema hondi pogorovo, kod honde je CVT menjac toliko tih da sam osetio tu razliku, to ne znaci da Kymco nije kvalitetan samo mislim da su japanci nesto bolji u tom pogledu.
      Medjutim mnogi delovi koji su na Kymcu se stavljaju i na japance.
      Maks brzina kojom sam ja vozio je 135kmh, to je moj telefon potvrdio, pri toj brzini skuter je stabilan, ali, vetar ne cini voznju bas prijatnom, mislim da je skuter idealan kada se vozi izmedju 80-120 kmh. Od 0-100 si manje vise brzi od skoro svih automobila na putu, pa i do 110, od 110 malo sporije ubrzava ali dodje lako do 130, e tad malo uspori. Ja mislim da sam ga ja mogao dogurati do 140+ ali nisam imao strpljenja a i malo me bejase strah.
      Zastita od vetra je dobra, medjutim, ja sam samo 182cm i bukvalno sav vetar koji prelazi preko motora me siba u glavu. Ali sa kacigom mi nije problem, i pri brzinama manjim od 80kmh isto ne smeta. Telo je skoro skroz zasticeno jer je skuter dosta sirok.
      Moja prosecna potrosnja je oko 3.2L na 100 km. Meni je to ok. Uglavnom predjem oko 350+km sa punim rezervorarom.
      Sediste mi je malo, sta znam, kvalitetno je i sve to ali je takve konstrukcije da ne mozes mnogo pozadi da se postavis, to su mogli bolje, tipa da je kao kod xcitinga bilo bi savrseno.
      Ali ti vidi, sedi, i probaj. Ja sam se na navikao ali ima boljih sedista.
      Odrzavanje sam radim. Ulje, u motoru i menjacu moze beba da zameni, isto vazi i za odrzavanje hladnjaka. Akumulator je ispod sedista sto je smor, moras celo sediste da skidas da bi ga izvadio, svecica je na malo cudnom mestu, ali se moze zameniti bez skidanja bilo kog dela.
      Ja sam prethodne skutere vodio na servis i tamo likovi samo sve useru, sipaju lose ulje a i uvek ili prepune ili sipaju manje. Ja sad sve fino u garazi, i mirna Bosna.
      Nasao sam neki shop u Tajvanu preko interneta koji ima sve, ali bukvalno sve delove za skoro sve Kymco skutere i preko interneta od njih narucim sve. Cene su ok, i svi delovi su originalni. Bas sam nedavno narucio kais, svecice, filtere, kocnice, prosto da imam kad dodje vreme da se menjaju. Za 10 dana su mi sve poslali.
      Zadje mortizere mozes da podesis, mozes i kocnice isto, fino staje i ako ovaj model nema ABS dok noviji imaju.
      Mislim da je skuter dobar, ne znam kakve su cene tu gde si ti, ja sam ovaj uzeo bukvalno nov, zena ga kupila novog 2016 i s njim presla 800km. Nije imala kome da ga proda jer se ovde skuteri ne voze i ja sam ga uzeo za 1800 eura. Nju je nov izasao oko 4.800.
      Kawasaki j300 je ustvari ovaj skuter, kymco ga proizvodi tako da i to nesto govori. Ne bi kawasaki uzeo bilo koga da im pravi skuter.
      Meni je najbitnije da je pouzdan, i za sada jeste. Ja sam za 3 meseca s njim presao oko 5,000 km i skuter ide besprekorno.
      Na vreme sam menjam ulje i koristim najkvalitetnije koje mogu da nadjem. Cenim da sa pravilnim servisiranjem moze bez problema da dodje do 100,000km pre bilo kakvog veceg servisa. Kvalitetno ulje i motor nema razloga da ne radi.
      To je manje vise to. Mislim da je odlican skuter, ali sve zavisi od cene.

    2 or 3 year ago i test kymco downtown 300 i and honda silverwing 600 and i love kymco downtown was way lighter suspenison wasint so soft like in silverwing and i like way more ergonomic this scooter and dashboard i take silwerwing only beacuse in this downtown engine or cvt work like in steam tractor=something was really broke vs silverwing work extremely smooth like butter , but if not this i defenitely take then kymco .,silvwerwing like for me have so much minuses worse ergonomics ,more weight , worse suspnesion ,and smokes alot when i push it really hard he could fire like 8 or 9 l in city :x with fuel injection :x vs downotwon smoke way less max in sport mode 4,5 l from test i know silverwing only have stronger engine still i more prefer single cyl in kymco due to simplificty and more stertorous sound ,regret that i did not take kymco than because it is way better scooter for me and those black version look also better than silverwing well this factor personally is extremely small factor like for me wa y more importnat is ergonomics ,weight ,dimension just mention :x if manufactury will put in it second disc at front and turbo into engine this it would be tejh best scooter in the world ;) .notice now without turbo 1 disc at front is supergood when i hit in breaks it very strong decelerate so just fine but with turbo with more power at higher velocity second disc should be , if we talking about breaks than silverwing in this section was also vvery good small disc at front and way heavier than downtown 250vs 190 kg however sw600 have very strong break caliper and pump so it also break very good .so in this section i give draw both scooters also have the same tire and wwheels size .
