Loved watching this. You’ve got some balls to do Cauldron Snout; Interesting to see Whorlton Lido from a different perspective, and in high water - used to go there as a kid, before the yobo’s spoilt the fun and public access was stopped. Are there any issues with paddling around Teesmouth?
Thanks😀. Teesmouth seems to be OK as long as you keep out of the shipping lane, I often paddle psrt of it upstream and return, occasionally the pilot boat will come and check me out, but no issues. I think they do like to be informed if your planning the trip from the barrage to the sea, but as long as your sensible and keep out of the shipping lanes it seems ok
What amazing trips from Source to Sea. That tumble down the last few feet of the the Water fall must have smarted a bit? I have tried what was meant to be white water in a touring boat from Daly Bridge to Matlock as a total novice and That was a baptism of fire for me. Not put me off, but the speed that some of the water was flowing to someone like me is mind blowing. That was part of a Leadership Assessment weekend, and I was a Guinea Pig to be lead. Was meant to be up grade 2, but heavy rain had other ideas. Wet exits twice and one was pinning my boat between me and a small tree. That was fun, but lots of shouting from the bank, as I was having fun trying to free my boat and them swim to the bank. Will try it again at some point but in a boat more suited to the water. Brilliant video as ever Bob.
Oh wow! Not only a great achievement but also amazing skills! Thank you for sharing. You're an expert paddler and I'm happy I'm here to watch your adventures. 🤟
I used to take my mother to look at the spring gentians near Harwood Beck every year. She told me to put her ashes in the Tees. Until I saw your video I didnt realise what an impressive river the Tees is. I am enjoying touring the Scottish isles now with your videos.
@phil5888 thank you, hope you enjoy some of my of other stuff as well... yes the Tees is an impressive river. My wife is tasked with scattering my ashes above cauldron snout, that way I will get to do the whole Tees, including High Force😁
Wow, where to start. What a bloody fantastic video with some awesome footage. I really liked the flashback stuff too, like watching you head down that huge fall, what a great job you did very impressive, but when you flipped at the end it looked like you hit your head bloody hard. Thumbs-up to the safety guy watching because he was straight in and heading over to you. Your skill level is very impressive watching you hit the waves, but your mate wins the gold for sitting there with his paddle under his chin. But you also win a Gold for that long skid into the river at the beginning 👍 This really was a great to watch video and I intend to watch it again.
Very well done. My hats off to you.
T hank you Nick😁
Quite an accomplishment!

Thank you😁
Enjoyed that Bob
Thanks Bill😁
You make some very good videos. I thought the flow in theTees was more controlled since the Cow Green was built?
Thank you😁... yes zip believe the flash flooding risk has been significantly reduced, but it still can rise very quickly
