    Haven't seen much in the way of chemx products being used in anything other than equipment, nice to see someone using it. I've been watching chemx and other detailers including M.A.D detailing who also does the bottom up pre-wash/pre-rinse. I've done both approaches myself, anybody who doesn't think bottom up is superior has either never tried it or is just disingenuous. Doing a touch less wash is awesome for 2 scenarios IMO. 1 doing a pre wash in something that the paint is in great shape underneath a bunch of crud, this will help prevent introducing scratches b4 hand washing something you don't want to put the time into polishing. 2 for maintenance washing vehicles that are already waxed/sealed. I think the problem is some people think the touch less system is a supplement for a hand wash, and iron decon. Both are superior for different purposes, touch less is great for productivity and economically. Hands on approach is super if your looking for perfection, touch less will rarely give you perfection but it gets you most of the way there and save a considerable amount of time. I think I'll have to give the stars and stripes a shot, I've been hesitant to try them because the machines he uses are both heated and way more powerful than my little Walmart pressure washer and I wasn't sure how much effect the soaps had compared to the heat and 4000psi he uses.

    • @detailit
      @detailit  10 месяцев назад +2

      Wow man, Thank You. I'm so glad that you are open minded to this process. Yes, bigger machines like a 3X3 or a 3X4 would speed this up but it is NOT NECESSARY to get awesome results. I've used this system for over 2 years now and I would argue that for 99% of the people wanting clean and Shiney cars, this is the quickest, easiest and BEST way to get it done.thanks for watching and yes, definitely give Stars & Stripes a try. It is the BEST touchless on the market. I have tried about 5 of these touchless systems and Nothing compares. One or two are close but Chem-X is King of this type of system. Good luck and have a good 1 !

      @@detailit I remember you saying something about a easy to turn horizontal or vertical foam foam cannon, the one got I found from another detailing channel doing a review on it. It's a sooprince foam cannon, it's like $20 on Amazon, it foams close to as good as the top dollar ones in all the reviews I've seen (haven't personally tried any high dollar cannons). Just make sure you got the right orifice in it and it foams nice and thick, even with my little 1.2gpm pressure washer, and it has a adjustable pattern, angle and a nice clear bottle.

      If u watch Bob on Chem x…. He always uses cold water to show what it does…. Rarely he uses heat… but when he does, he clearly states it.
      I’ve been using touchless washes for years on my semi and there’s two main reasons to rinse bottom up…. For one, it’s just to see where you have rinsed…. Second is that with touchless… your not rinsing your just wash the soap off…. Your supposed to be within 12” or do from the surface… keeping the wand a constant distance from the paint ( which means you can’t stand in the middle of the car and rinse in both directions) you have to walk the wand back and forth … basically like painting a car…. And you overlap your passes by 50%… …. People think washing is washing… but if you don’t overlap your passes, you will see where the wand got farther away from the panel…. The chemicals do 90% of the work…. But there is a technique that has to be followed… I love using it for the frame/ intricate areas that would take slot of time to wash by hand

    That's absolutely incredible Doug. I am gonna start calling you "The Chem-X King!". You have really changed my view of touchless washing and I am testing the process for myself now. I think I am a convert. At least for 80% of the washing I will be doing from now on. The rest will be supplemented by Rinseless washing and then finally, maybe 5% bucket/mitt/soap washing. That Chem-X system with the low PH, then followed immediately by high PH is a brilliant system. Compared to almost every other touchless type wash you see on RUclips, all the other ones always have at least a little film of dirt left someplace. Not with Chem-X. It literally dissolves any dirt on the vehicle and flushes it away. AMAZING! And it saves so much time too. Doing this type of wash once a week is all you would need to keep a daily driver in good shape, and it would only take you a half hour at most, even with the drying stage if you used a leaf blower to blow off the vehicle making it a true touchless from start to finish. More companies need to invest in making great (and effective) true TOUCHLESS type wash systems like Chem-X has. It's a great way to wash and maintain a vehicle and there is certainly a market for these type products. Currently, only a few companies have what they market as "touchless". Have you tried the Bilt Hamber Touchless product yet? I was just curious how it compared to Chem-X?

    • @detailit
      @detailit  2 месяца назад

      Wow! Thank You! What MUSIC TO MY EARS! Ya know what's funny? Years back I was super intrigued by Bilt Hamber and I never could afford it and then there was shipping and delays bc it wasn't really available everywhere in the U.S. at the time. I think now it's definitely n Italy one that has gained popularity and is much easier to get. Honestly I still have not tried it. I think it's because I have found so many really good products that are great pre washes or touchless that I don't even look their way anymore. I have no doubt that they ate excellent! My "Go-To" is Stars & Stripes but I do like trying competitors and trying new options for sure. I love what I do as a hobby; It's just so fun! I think you have a great theory, and I like how you have a plan and exact use for the Chem-X stuff. That's awesome! BTW, that Lexus wash took way longer than it should have. Less talking and a bigger pressure washer would have made that about an 8 minute to 10 minutes wash. Flow is key. Hey Thank you so much for all your support and kind words. I appreciate you. HAPPY WASHING!!!✌🏼

Those are the best sprayers for this kind of touchless washes You actually don’t need something that foams, just put a layer over the other like you say, Im getting all the time pretty much 98% results depending the season, its weird but on summer time works better and always get 100% results

      Hey Brother! Thank you very much for the compliment and for your support on the channel! I have not used the Ryobi cannon , and I believe, like you stated, foam isn't critical. The chemicals still do the heavy lifting and maybe even better without heavy foam! As far as the summer versus winter, these chemicals do work better in the heat, but it makes me 😓 nervous! Bob from Chem-X told me that anytime you can add heat (sun or hot water washer), the Chemical works better!! When it's warmer outside , I just move faster.. Thank you for sharing and watching. Can anyone help me out i got this product ..got 5 gallon containers and put 1 gallon of product and 3 gallons of water..just like guy on u tube from chem x said..I'm getting real bad water spots on vehicle and real bad spots on window..I have to clay bar windows to get spots out..

      @detailit  2 месяца назад

      It may be your water. If not, make sure you rinse it thoroughly, and dry before any of the spots dry out. If it's warm out, you have to move kind of fast especially of you are in direct sun. Also, you should use 4 gallons of water to one gallon of soap... 4:1 =5 gallons. Let me know if this helps. Take care

    Everything looks good wet though. I'd like someone to show the car after it's just blown off and air dried.

      You'll have to take my word for it or buy a 32 oz. Of each and try it. I'm telling you, Stars & Stripes are the BEST touchless you will find. Enjoy

      If you were to calculate it, minus the chatter, I'm betting it was only like 15 gallons 25 max... I haven't calculated it but this machine is very efficient.. personally I like 3gpm.... this one is near 2gpm... not nearly as bad as it seems.... now, if I were to have used the garden hose this much, it would have been 50,60, or maybe even 70 gallons... it was an overall win.

      @@detailit how well would this work if you don’t pre rinse. You just quickly do both stars and strips. Followed up with a rinse from top to bottom. I get yelled at and fined if I use to much water were I live in cali.

      @jordyworley91 it's actually intended to be put on the panel dirty and dry. ALWAYS rinse bottom up with a touchless washes, it just makes tracking your passes easier. The only reason I pre-rinsed was because of how Hammered this one was..

      Indeed! The paint was in really bad shape.. tons of road rash. I figured a wash was the best I could do here.... I'd love to buy this one. Japan built Lexus. One of the good ones... it needs some love, so I'd make it a project car... commute to and from work...
      This was a fun video and Chem-x delivered as always! Thanks for washing!

      This is just a demo. If I did this for a living, first off I wouldn't have used a 2x2 machine. It would have been at least a 3x3 which would effectively cut the time in half. So roughly 12 minutes. Also worth stating, a car this dirty wouldn't have been a great hand wash option. This was several months of neglect. Touchless is perfect for vehicles like this. Check out the Chem-X channel on RUclips. Bob can wash a car in 6 minutes..... flow and psi play a HUGE part in this.

    I dont think you know how to use these products. Stars then stripes to shock it, no rinsing in between. Also, youre right, your videos are long winded.

      Apparently you have No idea what you are talking about. They go right over each other before rinsing. My lungs are in great shape. Now re watch it and pay attention!
