    Been training since age 24 , 52 now - whenever I change my routines … I always get results - variety is the key !… muscles are efficient… it’s not volume “vs” intensity .. it’s both , Seth .. your body adapts as you know - variety variety … always change up workouts - not a pro but naturally 150lbs to 215 now .. im pleased and love the gym - love your vids Seth

    I love high volume, 4-5 supersets, 12 reps each with lots of Seth sets and etc. not as heavy weight, but I really enjoy it and I hit several angles in only an hour, plus the cardio side. Heavy weight, I always feel less productive and less pump. But muscle wise it works better in my opinion.

      variety is literally the worst thing you can do. Dorian did the same workout for his entire career same with Jay and pretty much every pro Coleman even continued with his powerlifting workout as a bodybuilder, changing tings for the sake of change is the worst thing you can do.

    Seth, if you got into ripped contest shape how close to the classic physique weight limit could you get? I know for your height (I heard you say you were 5'7") the cut off is 192 lbs. Is this possible for your frame or is it too light? I am seriously asking because I can see you as a classic physique champion. I heard you say you are done with competing, but are you really?

    • @Bubs58
      @Bubs58 5 месяцев назад

      Why would he start competing again after 15 years? He’s almost 40 and has a family to take care of. Pennie’s on the dollar compared to what the company makes leaves no reason for the man to compete.

    • @ronspersonalfitnessonline
      @ronspersonalfitnessonline 5 месяцев назад

      @@Bubs58 It is just that he seems to have a passion for it. All I was saying is that he looks like he could compete with just TRT. A lot of people compete for no other reason than to just do it.

  • @skycoh3581
    @skycoh3581 5 месяцев назад

    I'm not as expirienced as you, or other people. I've always enjoyed higher intensity over higher volume. I always aim for 20 sets per muscle group per week - divided into 6 days per week. But I was always a huge fan of drop sets and rest pause sets on the last 1 or sets sets of each exercise.

    • @orosebud
      @orosebud 5 месяцев назад +4

      20 sets per muscle group is considered high volume ....

    • @Borderbeach
      @Borderbeach 5 месяцев назад

      20 sets is hella high and if you recover from that with high intensity you either use drugs or your sets aren’t hard enough. Most people really dont do high effort stuff. Im started training everything to failure and if you do real failure you won’t do more than 6-8 sets per muscle per workout MAX. If you think you can do more go harder with a guy that really trains to failure and you’ll understand what high intensity really is.

  • @Borderbeach
    @Borderbeach 5 месяцев назад

    To grow as a natural I need to push the set hard enough to grow but if I go near failure I won’t recover with high volume. So HIT is the only way to go as a natural.

    It all fucking works end of story! Find out what works for you and be open to try new shit. On a side note id say the reason your staying fuller and bigger is a combination of a novel stimulus ( changing up workout style and exercises) and also eating some bullshit too like the Wendys and fried Chicken sandwiches. Im on a bulk and eating 80% good shit but 20% junk and have been fuller than ever with big ass pumps! It’s definitely not healthier, but im 100% making gains and being on TRT its damn near impossible for me to get fat im still around 13-15% bf after 3 months of bulking
