  • In our first installment of on the job training Chris shows us his preferred method for building and labeling a small bundle of 20 cables.
Proper bundling creates easy pulling cat6 and network drops that aren't damaged by too much pressure on the pull.
proper labeling eliminates mistakes on all fronts. From missed drops to wrong drops labels matter.

Labeling is the last thing you do. Just pull all the drops where they need to be, terminate everything, then use special tools to tone/identify, test and label. Data 1 and Data 2 don't have to be right next to each other on the same faceplate.

What are the meaning of D60,30,20 etc?

It's the cable identifier so in this case D60 stands for Data60, some clients use "basic" schemes like that, others are tia606b and would be more in depth but ultimately still are a number just may be TR01-10-101A-04, 05, and so on.
