  • Patch Panel custom labels using the 4200 Series Dymo Maker | Internal Training listed here - www.bridgecabl...
    For New Hires and general information using the proper buttons for all our data cabling techs in the Philadelphia office.
    Avoid using a pen or a sharpie on a patch panel! Use the supplied label makers for the patch panels if you need to expand or make custom cables. For network cabling flags that is typically used in a troubleshooting role and wraps should be as well on the patch panels and APs, Wireless Access Points, and at times the wall plates/jacks. Typically not needed at the end locations like one that is using a faceplate or wall plate. Slightly overkill at that point.
    This is material on our test so make sure you have the proper sizes of tapes.

    Nice to see a supervisor emphasizing quality. If I were looking to hire a firm to do work, this is the attitude I would be looking for. You are going to PAY for word done, you might as well get quality.

    The Cable Flag is not correct, Jimmy needs to be retrained the Cable flag has the same think on both sides like an actual flag.

    What size tape do yall typically use for the patch panels. Our new boss is getting us the brother 500ws and i want to make sure i have the right size

    • @BridgeCable
      @BridgeCable  11 месяцев назад

      3/4 or 3/8 on certain panels. The Brothers are nice too.....just sticking with these brand as all our techs carry the same unit so we can swap out, etc.

    Know of any consumer versions that will print cable wraps as well? Either Brother or Dymo? Hoping to spend about $100

      Second follow up, Does this model do Heat shrink labels and would you think these are worth it over just doing a cable wrap with regular tape instead?

      Dymo 4200 we have about 10 of them in the field.....starting to bring in the 5200 models. Old age debate....Brother or etc.....pick one that the team can carry...so they can swap out tapes if they are low :)
