Man I’m 27 and even with all the amazing engines in production today the side oiler remains tied for first place along with the RB series these old girls have so much grunt and the noise is just HEAVENLY... the teenager in me loves skylines, 1000hp and huge dosses... sue me 🤷🏻♂️
I happened by this video six months ago and was blown away. Been looking for it since then and finally today, it shows up. This is easily the baddest Mustang on RUclips. Nice car, good driving too....
Definitely a demonstration of power advantage over the competition, the handling and braking isn't exceptional but then again the early Mustangs were not exceptional handlers nor did have stellar brakes to begin with. Need to get myself to at least one track night at PIR this year.
Old post but wrong info needs to be corrected to prevent it from being passed on…427 introduced in 1963 and it was center oiler. Side oiler introduced in 1965.
I dont know of a 427 that has ever let its owner down. I used to have a gold J code 68' coupe, and it never occurred to me to pop for a 427. Good work Jeff!
incredible car!! this is awesome!! i have a 1972 mustang which i dream of dropping a 427 side oiler in there!! this is just incredible!!!! thanks for the vid!
damn that mustang is nasty! What was that little open wheel car? Holy crap that thing left real quick! Still though that car is serious. And import fanboys say muscle cars cant handle....pshh. Imo though you need to get some SOHC heads, theres aftermarket companies making them now. How much power is it making now? Hell, with the cammer heads 700hp N/A shouldnt be very much trouble at all. Tbh, I dream at night of having a 427 SOHC FFR Cobra or SOHC Daytona Coupe, or SOHC 66 Mustang: sickness
