The producer of the music, Ayase (pronounced "Ah-yah-seh"), is a man and he does not sing. He just creates the tracks and performs them on stage. YOASOBI literally means "nightlife" or "going out at night" which Ayase and Ikura (pronounced "Ee-koo-rah") used because they were expecting their partnership to be a temporary one akin to a night gig. Though they continue to do projects independent of each other, the duo doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. The other band members at this live concert are not officially part of YOASOBI, but are contracted with Sony Music Entertainment and accompany YOASOBI at live events. As for this particular song, Idol, it is the theme song to the anime adaptation of the manga (comic) series "Oshi no Ko." The story is about the ins and outs/two-sided-ness of the entertainment industry, especially for "idols" in Japan which are more commonly referred to as "divas" in the States. Some of the members have a successful acting career so you'll often see them in kdramas. The group celebrated their 15th anniversary last year, and they've left a lasting impact on kpop.
