Yes, and for some reason I enjoyed playing as a mage the most and I usually play some warrior type of character. I guess his abilities were just too awesome, fun combat.
Phalender 66 Just my opinion, but DAI was unplayable, I couldn't even finish the main story after doing so many side quests. The gameplay was just too repetitive. Are the older games better for you?

Doing that right now with SSE. 243 hours so far. XD And that's after easily putting 700-800 hours into the original. Don't think there's another game I've invested so much time in.
Luckily I got into the Elder Scrolls late, so I still have a lot of Skyrim, some of Morrowind (I'm iffy on that one) and possibly oblivion (but I heard it sucks.)
You can fast travel in Dragon's Dogma. You just need to place port crystals in those locations. When I got the game on steam you get an infinite use port coin as well. Just set crystals in important places on the map. Also you can always port to the major cities. It was a great game and I never heard of it before it came to steam and just took a chance on it. Super fun.
You're both right: Dragon's Dogma basically doesn't have fast travel (it does., but it's very, very limited), it was a major complaint, so when the game was re-released as Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Capcom added fast travel.
It works the same way it worked in the original game, you can only fast travel to Port Crystals. The difference is that the Ferrystones are free and infinite in Dark Arisen, instead of $200,000 each which were destroyed after a single use in the original game.

my thoughts exactly. all the reviews at the time said it was ridiculously long at approx 100 hours. I got even more hours out of it than that. DA 2 though was a disappointment and DA 3?? lost most of the charm
I still need to finish DA: Origins, I started it, got a few hours in, cannot remember where I left off but I wasn't too far, loved what I played though. I recently purchased the Ultimate Edt. on GOG for a really good price, IIRC, $8-10 which is nuts considering the amount of content you get. Awakening alone at release was $30-40? That's one huge + picking up games years after release, by the time you get around to buying certain games, you can get some amazing deals.
Dark Souls is an RPG, but from what I get; This list is mainly story-based. Though DS has a story, it is really just not understandable and the main element of that story is getting to learn about all the lore.

It could be that, or it could be Fallout 4's strange lack of unique characters with unique quests and confrontational events. Instead, we get unique characters like Deadeye, Gristle, Tower Tom, and especially Red Tourette. She should have gotten a quest where after taking out her gang, she realizes that you're the real deal and asks you to help get her sister back by killing Tower Tom. Then there should be scripting to keep Tower Tom from even appearing until AFTER you kill his gang, where you'd then be locked into a confrontational conversation with him, and then you get to kill him and save Red Tourette's sister. You then get to be part of her Raider gang and build them up instead of helping out Garvey. I love Fallout 4 for a lot of aspects, but I really wish they would have spent time on the details that made past Fallout games so great. Instead of modelling so many giant buildings and focusing so much providing a lot of places to explore with little importance to them, they should have focused on perhaps giving us fewer places to explore, but make each place we CAN explore extremely important, with an amazing quest line that has several different outcomes. Like, humans are social creatures, for a game that centers around humans, there's far too much shooting, and not enough talking.

It is worth playing Witcher 1. If anything else won't talk to you, just think it's so cheap now that it's basically free, so just give it a try. The atmosphere, characters, texts are so vivid in this part that in my personal opinion later parts didn't go beyond this point. Witcher 2 (being really great experience) was just not so deep and Witcher 3 was more like a classic drama and kind of gentle goodbye to the series (especially Hearts of Stone gave that impression). First Witcher was just purely badass and as dark as first Gothic (or even darker - sometimes literally). And I don't remember that antagonists in other parts caught my emotions so much - the scene at the end of the game, related to unusual use of Witcher's 2nd sword, was one of most satisfying things in gaming ever. I remember that Witcher 1, Gothic 1 and Morrowind had so much impact on me. There were no newer games, including Witcher 3, that made me dive deep into their worlds so much as 3 titles mentioned. (yes, if you're not afraid of old graphics, try Gothic and Morrowind too - the latter is on Bethesda's giveaway right now, I just played it and loved the first minutes of experience just like it was first time, over 15 years ago)
I nearly got Shadow of Mordor but I saw some guy blind spamming R1 and killing everything in sight. I hate easy games - especially the "illusory gameplay" ones where you aren't even really playing - you are just clicking buttons like a lab rat on dope. Maybe I am wrong or he was a hater - but the way he showed it made the combat system look absolutely broken.
It has aged pretty bad, because of the new tech being in newer games. If we ever see another Gothic game with let's say witcher 3 engine...it will be GOTY ;)
Bringer of Peace You do know Piranha Bytes isn't planning on making a new Gothic. They got the rights on Gothic back some years ago after some beef with the publisher JoWood, but they still didn't made any indication of a new Gothic Game
tl;dw list: dragon age origins persona [series] star dew valley the witcher 2 & 3 divinity original sin kingdom hearts [series] darkest dungeon dragons dogma bastion transistor
Huge balance issues along with an incredibly boring linear story and a bland lore. ur either a mage and u erase screens of enemies or ur not and, well, it's much harder.
I don't know, I played a straight assassin build and found it very satisfying, then I upgraded my DH skill all the way to master just so I could find lorestones and listen to the backstory behind the game itself, and what do you mean by "huge balance issues?" The game is built around you having the powers of a god, so it was meant to be imbalanced
*UPDATE:* My original comment was misinterpreted as condescending and I apologize for that. I felt it was a bit funny that I address people in the beginning who might get mad that the games they like aren't on the list and some still got pissed! Regardless, I have been planning a "Fan Feedback Edition" of this considering how many of you enjoy it. Keep commenting awesome RPG suggestions and you can be featured in this upcoming video! :)
matty, i disagree, the witcher 3 is not one of the best rpgs of all time. it is one of the best video games of all time. i know, i'm splitting hairs, but accuracy is important.
to anyone who hasn't played it. BUY IT! BUY IT NOW! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, GO! and don't forget the dlc, it's another whole games worth of witcher 3.
I have a similar thing and I think it's because american rpgs are better at playing with your emotions or sparking a sense of novelty. Some Jrpgs are good at this but most feel somewhat cold. Play Chrono Trigger for one that works.
I hate the big-eyed anime art style of most JRPGs. And they have a sort of creepy pedo thing going on with the characters, especially female ones, being very childish. Also the Japanese to English translation doesn’t always work well, which makes for awkward sentence structure which takes me out of whatever weird story they’re trying to tell.
One of the best RPG's that I've ever played in my life is Drakan: The Ancients Gates on the PS2. Have you or anyone else ever played it? It was and still is a freakin amazing title.
I would add: - Gothic 1 and 2 - Vampires Masquerade - Pillars of Eternity - Salt and Sanctuary - Elex - Final Fantasy 15 - Kingdom Come Deliverance - Divinity: original sin. And of course the one and only Titan Quest. On the console side of things: Valkyrie Profile 1 and 2, Lost Odyssey, Star Ocean 1 and 2, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, Baiten Kaitos, vagrant story, Final Fabtasy 12 and Tales of The Abyss, are definitely a must have. Honourable mention goes to Shadow heart to a new world, .hack gu trilogy, and eternal sonata.
Benjamin Drinkwater Ikr I loved the main story. Your characters actions has an outcome to the world. You end the cycle of Arisins. It felt like you were important.
????? Dark souls is not supposed to have a clear cut main story/quest line for you to follow. The point is for you to make it out from the information given to you by npcs. Each boss has a unique backstory. They’re two completely different games, and i don’t see how you could compare them.
Pro tip. Rpg stands for Role Playing Games, so let's insert that into your comment you forgot the best Role Playing Games games (for me) Star Wars Knights of the Old republic. I do apologise if this comes off as me being a dick, but it annoys me enough that I have to mention it.
I've never loved a game series like I love the dragonage series. I usually don't read lore and such in games but dragonage I read every thing, played multiple times to romance different characters and got different choice endings. God it's just so good
Me too. I played DAO so many times. And I loved DAI, even though a lot of people hate it, I loved it. And I also have about 300 hours logged in playing Oblivion and Skyrim. I just like two things, 1. An immersion story and for me that means a choice in my character build (my main issue with Witcher), and 2. A beautiful fantasy world to explore. I did play Mass Effect but wasn't as invested as the scifi theme didn't interest me like DAO or ES.
I'm so glad you mentioned Dragon Age Origins! It was the first Bioware game I ever played and it remains my favorite. I think its very underrated. It has some of the most interesting, complicated and likable characters I've ever seen in gaming. Also, the different character origins are great in terms of replay value as an elf character will see a very different Ferelden from a human character, and a dwarf noble will have very different interactions than a lowly dwarf commoner from Dust Town.
Persona 5 best RPG 2017. When I saw that on game wards was so mind blowing, to think a turn based JRPG would win something like that nowadays. Yakuza 0 is another game people should take a look excellent writing and character development.
Yes, in addition - Far Cry 4, Arcania, Viking Battle for Asgard, Signal from Tölva, Shelter 2, Dynasty Warriors 9, Dying light, Agents of Mayhem, Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun (cancelled), Total Overdose, Ultima trilogy, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, State of Decay, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, Stormland
This a very, very, VERY! diverse compilation, he covered most types of RPG's out there, excellent coverage, filling all types of gamer tastes as well, great job. Not just pros but cons of each game would have been better so people don't get too disapointed when they find something they don't like and end up leaving or even hating that particular game.... you know, for the sake of both parties.
@@hrimfaxi1 it's possible he got paid, then good for him. I didn't even remember liking this video, less typing this comment. I'll dare to ask you, what doesn't make sense about this video? For me, ANY type of game fits the bill while "waiting" for a sequel. Besides, WHY on Earth a sane person would want to burn time for the sake of a useless video game anyways? Even when I used to like video games, I never intended to "burn" time while waiting for any game sequel, that's one of the worst ideas a human being can have within his/her mind.
This was in my watch later, I probably didn't add it seven years ago though. It is crazy we're still waiting lol. Dragon Age taking 10 years off is sad! 😭
I disagree on the Witcher 1, I think all things considered that game has actually aged pretty decently and is definitely still worth a playthrough, is it as good as the other 2? No, but it's still worth the players' time.
One of my best moments in Darkest Dungeon, I was going through a hard/Large dungeon. I still had Dismas and Reynauld, and I was getting RNG screwed. I entered the last fight with everyone at full health and I missed and got critical hit quite a bit. I had two people on deaths door and Reynaulds stress hit 100 and he got a resolve check. Then instantly crit with holy lance and it was just one of those moments where, I shed a tear of delight.
DA:O can be played through in 20 hours? WTF?! I had like 60 hours on my first playthrough and learned after finishing it that I had skipped alot of stuff.
I used to be really into skyrim but I recently bought kingdom come deliverence and I am hooked. Since most of the bugs have been fixed it is really flawless. Its soundtrack is beautiful, and its story is better than most movies.
Skyim gets to much credit. It's a beauty, but the leveling system did get dumbed down and made more casual in skyrim compared to Oblivion. Let's hope bethesda up there game in Elder Scrolls VI.
Skyrim, one of the best selling games of all time, still continues to sell on new platforms. I highly doubt Bethesda will go backwards. Expect a similarly streamlined experience more for the mainstream audience.
silkyjohns0n yeah just because it sells more doesnt mean its better. The average gamer doesnt appreciate nuances in gaming, hence why skyrim is paraded as a masterpiece by mainstream idiots while morrowind is known to be the real shiet amongst people who have playing games longer than 2007.
They made the right choice waiting years and years, bcz it would have been really hard to beat witcher 3. That game will rule the rpg scene for another 3-4 years give or take. I don't think anything better will come out sooner.
"Will rule the RPG scene" Because it's oh so actively talked about and played everywhere you go and look and totally not completed by a mass majority of Witcher fans and tucked back into the library. I still see more Skyrim talk everywhere than Witcher 3.
***** that's because the rpg playing elite say skyrim is a better since you mould the character. Also mods have extended the life cycle of that game by like 10 years. Oh and there's been a little thing called the remastered version which has only made popularity for the game resurge. So hardly out of the ordinary what you're saying. Witcher 3 side quests are way better though and that old jank engine Bethesda keeps trotting out there is seriously getting old now. It's like an old man with a walking stick that's about to snap at any moment.
Man of Glass No, what you're saying is an opinion. I find the Witcher series to be rather boring after a while of playing as their side quests are bland, 'spiced up' by flashing colours. You also have no idea what you're talking about, if you're trying to say F3 and Oblivion and New Vegas are using the same engine as Skyrim and F4. All you're doing is defending Skyrim. "It was remastered to a 64 bit version extending its lifecycle and is amazingly moddable" vs Witcher 3's "play for a while, beat some things, never touch it again".
A youtuber that puts The Witcher, Persona, Divinity, and others in 1 list... And I thought I was the only one who likes to play every single rpg out there and love it.
After exploring part of it in ESO, I really want either Hammerfell, or High Rock. Hammerfell would be the best location for a pirate based guild, and FUCK do I want to be a pirate in an Elder Scrolls game at some point.
Bof... The only thing we need to play while waiting is ES V with ENB, HD textures, high polygons char mesh, etc, the result have nothing to envy to game that are even not finished today^^
i agree with dragon age origins and divinty original sin but JRPGs are not actually RPGs and i would add Baldur's gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale, Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2, Daggerfall, Neverwinter Nights, Wizardry 8, and Morrowind.
and your tactical fighting in baulkdersgate copmes from jrpgs dipshit hell even combat engines in dnd games on comdore come from msx msx2 jrpg games dip shit
This list includes some incredible games. I watched this video several years ago and without realizing it I've ended up playing about half of the games on this list since then. I guess I have a similar taste in games mrmattyplays
Necromancy fable 2 and 1 are great games I like fable 2 even better not gunna lie. I don't see how you could dislike 2 if your an fog fan it's an amazing game. I never played 3 but I've heard it's not quite as good although I still want to try it
OfficialKirin Witcher 2 (was released the same year Skyrim did) is the shittiest game I’ve ever played Vanilla Skyrim was 10 times better Trash combat system with trash story lol Do you really think ES6 will have the same combat system Skyrim had? especially since it will run on a new engine
@@cora7941 Supposedly now Starfield and TES 6 will be on an updated version of the creation engine :\ Bethesda says its because devs and modders know the engine well.
Johnplayzguitar Roblox isn’t a RPG instead it’s full of scammers, Online daters, clickbaiters and a fanbase full of 5 year olds. Also the company is hungry for money.
Guys, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Completely underrated and deserve way more recognition.
Yes, and for some reason I enjoyed playing as a mage the most and I usually play some warrior type of character. I guess his abilities were just too awesome, fun combat.
The soundtrack of the game is one of my favourites. It just screams Fantasy. And the game itself is just so ridiculously immersive.
very underrated , loved that game.
Just about to say this. Great game
If a guy with a Revan pic says it, it must be true! Thanks for the rec, gonna play these on vacation.
The Witcher 3 is number one. Best RPG I've played.
Right? Dragon Age is second to the witcher series
Phalender 66 Just my opinion, but DAI was unplayable, I couldn't even finish the main story after doing so many side quests. The gameplay was just too repetitive. Are the older games better for you?
Stfu with that shitty ass game. So tired pf hearing witcher 3 all the time. I swear i dont know why people think that game is so good.
Only it got boring after a while. Never finished vanilla game.
Mariano Mendizabal just don't cut yourself on that edge.

Gbag34 Thats how it was with Fallout 4. Hopefully TES 6 won't be as hyped as FO4, which was one of the main reasons it dissapointed players.

+Itzllamaz 15 They don't hate it, they just hate the fanbase.
Idk why he didn't say Witcher 1, I find it better than 2 :)
I've lost how many hours I've put into DA:O.
Why obviously "lost" .. ?
My first playthrou was 26 hours ahahaha and I didnt do all quests and all side quests.
I did at least a dozend play throughs more likely two dozends
Shadow of mordor,Dragon age Inquisition, Kingdom of Amalur, Dragon's Dogma...These game are fun
Damin Ahmad Gothic 1-3 ( 3 patched ) too. But don't even touch 4 .
Dragon Age inquisition is terrible
I nearly got Shadow of Mordor but I saw some guy blind spamming R1 and killing everything in sight. I hate easy games - especially the "illusory gameplay" ones where you aren't even really playing - you are just clicking buttons like a lab rat on dope. Maybe I am wrong or he was a hater - but the way he showed it made the combat system look absolutely broken.
The only challenging about Mordor is you can turn off counters.
WeirdCityCitizen it is kinda hard during the first half, then you just fuck everyone up
Apparently most of you have never played the Gothic series which I recommend you badly.
Lmao good explanation
Gothic has a really unique combat sistem. The only problem is its story imo.
Gothic has aged really bad.

You should check out "Kingdoms of Amalur" it is exactly like these you mentioned. Great story, characters, combat, re-playability, and so on ...
thanks, just saw a trailer, looks amazing
I liked it but got bored of it in the middle did not like the story. But, it had a interesting story concept.
Rock and Roll I've become a good in that game, they let me do to much and my magical shield was on 100% of the time
Huge balance issues along with an incredibly boring linear story and a bland lore.
ur either a mage and u erase screens of enemies or ur not and, well, it's much harder.
Keyser Söze it is one of the best rpg games
yes i know, i was trying to be amusing ;)
to anyone who hasn't played it. BUY IT! BUY IT NOW! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, GO! and don't forget the dlc, it's another whole games worth of witcher 3.
How do u feel about eso?
The only RPG you should play before elder scrolls VI, is Skyrim SE!
ChristmasTrax How about all of the Elder Scrolls series, except for Arena?
It's mind-boggling how I've spent more than 5 years playing Skyrim and I still find new content to this day.
>Skyrim
>RPG
+Creative Equinox same, I have around 500 hours on pc and I still found some new places when I played the special edition on PS4
why not Arena? I heard that the controls are dated as hell but it looks interesting, I have been playing a lot of Daggerfall lately and it is great
Nothing against people who like JRPGs but something about those games just keeps me from getting into them. Not sure what.
I have a similar thing and I think it's because american rpgs are better at playing with your emotions or sparking a sense of novelty. Some Jrpgs are good at this but most feel somewhat cold. Play Chrono Trigger for one that works.
So if a 10 year plays a jrpg, will he be pedophile
Ragd0ll I don’t like most. Persona is probably the only jrpg I’ve liked, unless you count final fantasy as a jrpg.
@@TheDocCroc Final Fantasy is an JRPG. Its root is from Japan. And it has all that anime angst in it. And those JRPG touch to it.
Dragon Age: Origins - The best game I've played in my entire life! IMHO!
Same
Dragon Age: Origins, Divinity: Original Sin, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
While I'm here I'd like to add Pillars of Eternity
Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines
trash
lawlestest in what world is bloodlines remotely trash
@@lawlestest That's just objectively false.
One of the best RPG's that I've ever played in my life is Drakan: The Ancients Gates on the PS2. Have you or anyone else ever played it? It was and still is a freakin amazing title.
I would add:
- Gothic 1 and 2
- Vampires Masquerade
- Pillars of Eternity
- Salt and Sanctuary
- Elex
- Final Fantasy 15
- Kingdom Come Deliverance
- Divinity: original sin.
My heart always jumps when I see DA:O, this series can be so underrated
"The main story in Dragon's Dogma is awful."
Literally like saying that the main quest in Dark Souls is awful.
Benjamin Drinkwater Ikr I loved the main story. Your characters actions has an outcome to the world. You end the cycle of Arisins. It felt like you were important.
Benjamin Drinkwater I have mixed feelings about the ending. It was dope and meaningful but I just wanna dick around in the Gransys
????? Dark souls is not supposed to have a clear cut main story/quest line for you to follow. The point is for you to make it out from the information given to you by npcs. Each boss has a unique backstory. They’re two completely different games, and i don’t see how you could compare them.
Cheng Ye you are missing the whole point
That's exactly what Dragon's Dogma is like, so.
1 baldur's gate
2 fallout 2
3 baldur's gate 2
4 kotor 2

you forgot the best rpg games (for me) Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic
Pro tip. Rpg stands for Role Playing Games, so let's insert that into your comment
you forgot the best Role Playing Games games (for me) Star Wars Knights of the Old republic.
I do apologise if this comes off as me being a dick, but it annoys me enough that I have to mention it.
ruclips.net/video/LuKzt7p-MnM/видео.html
I've never loved a game series like I love the dragonage series. I usually don't read lore and such in games but dragonage I read every thing, played multiple times to romance different characters and got different choice endings. God it's just so good
Autumn Johnston that’s cool but I’d rather bang people I match with on tinder
sadly the quality takes a hit with each new title. DA Origins will always be Bioware's favorite game to me since kotor 1, 2
Me too. I played DAO so many times. And I loved DAI, even though a lot of people hate it, I loved it. And I also have about 300 hours logged in playing Oblivion and Skyrim. I just like two things,
1. An immersion story and for me that means a choice in my character build (my main issue with Witcher), and
2. A beautiful fantasy world to explore. I did play Mass Effect but wasn't as invested as the scifi theme didn't interest me like DAO or ES.
Dragon warrior on Nintendo was the RPG that hooked me for life. I'm now 45
Damn! That's my first ever game, too!
Divinity was amazing. Played that game sooo much, and i love the combat.
7:06 "Infamous witcher 3" lol
Jade Empire! So glad you had Dragon's Dogma on the list.
I loved Jade Empire ! I wish they made a sequel like KOTOR II :(
Jade Empire II should happen, as a full fledged RPG an open world game. Would be incredible.
Ironically I would say that Dragon Age and The Witcher are better then Elder Scrolls.
But that's just my opinion.
Thats a good opinion
1. The Witcher
2. Dragon Age
3. The Elder Scrolls
KH has one of the MOST beautiful soundtracks I've ever experienced in gaming. Just the intro song in KH tugs on my emotions
Persona 5 best RPG 2017. When I saw that on game wards was so mind blowing, to think a turn based JRPG would win something like that nowadays.
Yakuza 0 is another game people should take a look excellent writing and character development.
And if your into JRPGs I would also recommend Legend of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel series and Toyko Xanadu.
Played them all already. I reccommend: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Fable (1 and 3 for PC), Gothic, risen, Dragon's dogma, etc
Yes, in addition - Far Cry 4, Arcania, Viking Battle for Asgard, Signal from Tölva, Shelter 2, Dynasty Warriors 9, Dying light, Agents of Mayhem, Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun (cancelled), Total Overdose, Ultima trilogy, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, State of Decay, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, Stormland
Matty how about game x how could you forget about that one?
Had to do it.
Heranara lol
Heranara damn, you got me. You said what he said in the video. You're so funny!
xD
Big Papa Pepper What are you talking about there is a game x it's such a cult classic.
I have played all of these RPG’s
Still waiting for Elder Scrolls 6
This a very, very, VERY! diverse compilation, he covered most types of RPG's out there, excellent coverage, filling all types of gamer tastes as well, great job. Not just pros but cons of each game would have been better so people don't get too disapointed when they find something they don't like and end up leaving or even hating that particular game.... you know, for the sake of both parties.
Pretty sure he got paid to do this compilation ... it doesnt make sense otherwise ...
I’m still waiting 5 years later
Still waiting in 2022
Seriously if you haven't played Witcher 3 you NEED TO. Provably sound like a fanboy but it's SO GOOD.
I second this
Adam Burgess I finally got around to it currently 30 hours in and enjoying it.
I don't think it's possible for anyone to not sound like a fanboy after playing Witcher 3. It's just too good.
***** I know, I was in complete deniable thinking "Oh it just a shit TES" but it's so good.
Adam Burgess I'm not going to because that seems like too much of a time suck for my current library.
Where's Gothic 2: Night of the Raven?
Great choice and very similar to Elder Scrolls
Gothic 1 and Gothic 2 Gold are way better than any games so far ( gothic 3 is decent but not so well made )
NelyL neither is persona or kingdom hearts
0:24
was better when patched it..gothic 3 forsaken gods rocked..an enderal total conversion mod make skyrim fun again
This was in my watch later, I probably didn't add it seven years ago though. It is crazy we're still waiting lol. Dragon Age taking 10 years off is sad! 😭
...Fable? C'mon now. Fable is easily Top 5 RPG.
Its up there with Dragon Age Series, Dark Souls Series, Elder Scrolls Series, and The Witcher Series.
Yes ther is
I give a tipPlay when waiting on the Elder scrolls VI play Skyrim Oblivion MorrorWind Daggerfall And Arena :D
Dennis van den Brand Morrowind*
If you are up for a challenge and some old school charm, Ultima VII parts 1 and two will igve you tons of hours of play
Mount and blade:warband is a definite must have IMO,such a unique RPG experience.
Dragon age Origins is the best game ! !!! :D I love you ...
One answer: *KINGDOM COME: DELIVERANCE*
That game is shit
I disagree on the Witcher 1, I think all things considered that game has actually aged pretty decently and is definitely still worth a playthrough, is it as good as the other 2? No, but it's still worth the players' time.
One of my best moments in Darkest Dungeon,
I was going through a hard/Large dungeon.
What about Kingdoms Of Amalur? That is very similar to Skyrim and Dragon Age.
Sion67 thats a nice underated choice imo.
Dia Nuevo Surprised Matty didn't include it.
he mentioned it in another video the other day along with Knights of the Republic, Sleeping Dogs and some other games he recommends
What Cynic said. I wanted to make sure I included new games for my mainstay viewers who tune in everyday :)
Xenoblade Chronicles. The story's so good
Jesus you haven't tried anything other than that
+Pandu Evan K Xenoblade is great
and yet, nowhere near as good as Xenosaga, and not in the same galaxy as Xenogears. Meh.
Sarah Mehh True you've got good taste
Even without the hype that "Xeno" in the title generates for me, the Xenoblade games were both disappointments.
Bro this came out 5 years ago...
lol. and ES6 probably still won't be out for another 5+ years

5 years later this video was recommended to me....& we're still waiting 😅😑
Fable the lost chapter stole my younger years!!! If u havent play it u dont know what a videogame is!!!
DA:O can be played through in 20 hours? WTF?! I had like 60 hours on my first playthrough and learned after finishing it that I had skipped alot of stuff.
The best RPG series in my experience is Suikoden. Especially 2.
It takes special kind of gamer that`s able to digest JRPG .
Kristian Muus Skyrim is like the talented middle child but he also goes to jail every few months
Skyrim, one of the best selling games of all time, still continues to sell on new platforms. I highly doubt Bethesda will go backwards. Expect a similarly streamlined experience more for the mainstream audience.
silkyjohns0n yeah just because it sells more doesnt mean its better. The average gamer doesnt appreciate nuances in gaming, hence why skyrim is paraded as a masterpiece by mainstream idiots while morrowind is known to be the real shiet amongst people who have playing games longer than 2007.
poop scoop Both games are great
Love them all, that being said. Morrowind definitely has quite a few elements I preferred and miss.
I loved DA:O, but to be honest, I also kinda enjoyed Inquisition so 😂
They made the right choice waiting years and years, bcz it would have been really hard to beat witcher 3. That game will rule the rpg scene for another 3-4 years give or take. I don't think anything better will come out sooner.
Solid Snake the graphics weren't even witcher 3's strength. Guessing you haven't even played it.
Solid Snake That won't do shit, see how long it took Skyrim to get off the throne, until barely last year when The Witcher 3 came out.
"Will rule the RPG scene"
Because it's oh so actively talked about and played everywhere you go and look and totally not completed by a mass majority of Witcher fans and tucked back into the library.
So glad to see Divinity: Original Sin on here, it's easily one of the best RPGs I've ever played. A perfect revival of the old CRPG genre.
A youtuber that puts The Witcher, Persona, Divinity, and others in 1 list...
And I thought I was the only one who likes to play every single rpg out there and love it.
Bethesda at least give us a location for the next elder scrolls.
I would like to see valenwood or elswer
rashaud 21 elsweyr is shit, cats are shit.
rashaud 21
Yes!!!
That's also my two picks. The forests of Valenwood and the deserts of Elsweyr would be amazing to explore.
I personally think a return to daggerfall would be cool but maybe as a remake of tes 2 as far as tes 6 goes valenwood is my top pick by far.
Eldescrolls VI More dumbed down town
After exploring part of it in ESO, I really want either Hammerfell, or High Rock. Hammerfell would be the best location for a pirate based guild, and FUCK do I want to be a pirate in an Elder Scrolls game at some point.
FABLE ❤❤ ,also knights of Amular is good .
I cried at the end of Dragon age Origins. It was not a game, It is a piece of Art.
Lol what a bitch
Bof... The only thing we need to play while waiting is ES V with ENB, HD textures, high polygons char mesh, etc, the result have nothing to envy to game that are even not finished today^^
3:40 dafaq is dat? emo skill?
Persona 3 is one of the most brilliant games of all time. Go ahead and play it.
they shoot themselves to activate their skill or some crap
i agree with dragon age origins and divinty original sin but JRPGs are not actually RPGs and i would add Baldur's gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale, Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2, Daggerfall, Neverwinter Nights, Wizardry 8, and Morrowind.
and your tactical fighting in baulkdersgate copmes from jrpgs dipshit hell even combat engines in dnd games on comdore come from msx msx2 jrpg games dip shit
Retrogaming Insanity Well your rudeness is completely uncalled for.
your just mad cause i have decades of gaming experince more than halfg of u fucks do

And now TES:VI is announced, we need to wait a little more time.
Still have years to wait they haven't even started on it yet

Necropants I mean man I hate auto correct
Fable 1 all the way. Fable 2 lacked the gripping story it was just bland go here do that while fable 1 had all these twists and cool bosses.
